"The automated fire assay system (Fast In-line Fire Assay or FIFA) has not found acceptance in the Au mining industry as the lower measurable limit of 0.20 ppm did not allow Au tailings to be measured with confidence. The development of arrested cupellation has overcome this hurdle which was a limiting factor in the FIFA 1 process. In the new automated fire assay process, automated sample preparation, fluxing, fusion and separation of a Pb button are essentially similar to the FIFA 1 process, albeit with some improvements. However, the game-changer is the development and incorporation of arrested cupellation into the automated system, now called FIFA 2. The purpose of arrested cupellation is to reduce the 50 g Pb button to a 5 g Pb button by partial cupellation in a specially developed arrested cupellation system thereby concentrating the Au in the Pb by a factor of 10 and in so doing moving them into higher concentration ranges in the mini-button where they can be read on the spark spectrometer. Results show that concentrations down to 0.02 ppm Au in geological materials can now be determined using arrested cupellation in the FIFA 2 process, an order of magnitude improvement over FIFA 1.INTRODUCTION Traditional fire assay for Au has remained virtually unchanged for 3000 years. It has survived for so long because it is accurate, has relatively low detection limits and is relatively inexpensive. However, it is labour intensive, has a long turn-around time (typically at least 7 hours), is environmentally unfriendly and exposes assay operators to potentially unsafe conditions (toxic fumes, toxic dust and extreme heat from furnaces). The NiS collection method is not as effective for the assay of Au as it is for the PGEs. A rapid, accurate, cost-effective method for the determination of Au and the Platinum Group Elements (PGEs) in geological materials would be a tremendous benefit to mining companies. Many of these objectives have been met by the FIFA 1 (Fast In-line Fire Assay) developed some 15 years ago in which automated methods have replaced the manual procedures which are part and parcel of conventional fire assay. However, concentrations below 0.2 ppm have been very difficult to achieve with sufficient reliability."

"CoaLiquid, Inc. (CLI) has been in the coal-oil-mixture (COM) business for over five years. The initial pilot processing facility was replaced by a 2000 barrel per day commercial production facility in August 1979. For over two years CLI has been expanding its efforts and conducting large-scale production and combustion demonstrations successfully in many locations across the United States. To facilitate the marketing effort, CLI has recently constructed a special trailer containing all equipment needed for a temporary COM retrofit.CoaLiquid has conducted commercial-scale combustion demonstrations in the following types of combustion units: kilns, calciners, industrial boilers, blast furnaces and driers.IntroductionCoaLiquid, Inc. officially dedicated its plant on August 31, 1979, at a ceremony presided over by the then Governor of Kentucky, The Honorable Julian Carroll. The dedication marked the culmination of over three years of research and development work and marked the beginning of a new era of coal-oil-mixtures as a commercial commodity in the marketplace. As the first such plant in the United States, it set the tone for construction to follow.CLI was originally owned and managed by a group of entrepreneurs from Kentucky who had developed the process and constructed the plant on purely private investment and conventional financing. Beginning in late 1976, with a pilot-scale operation, also located in Shelbyville, Kentucky (near Louisville), CLI began producing a stable mixture of 50070 coal, 30% to 40% oil and 10% to 20% water by weight. The technology employed was developed by Eric C. Cottell of Long Island, New York and is covered by U.S. Letters Patent No. 3,941,552. Since the pilot plant operation, CoaLiquid has made many refinements to its process and in fact has added new technology to its portfolio of patents and patents pending. Further refinements to the product now produce a stable mixture of 50% coal, 40% No.6 fuel oil and 10% water by weight."

"The Eastern Abitibi Sub province (Quebec segment), contains two main types of gold deposits: the common quartz-vein type and the rare pyritic type. Both occur in areas dominated by volcanic rocks and are spatially associated with major fault zones.Quartz-vein gold deposits consist of simple to complex networks of quartz-carbonate-pyrite veins in reverse shear zones and extensional fractures. They occur in areas dominated by mafic volcanic rocks and are commonly associated with small syn- to late-tectonic porphyritic felsic intrusions. Associated alteration, which postdates peak metamorphism, is dominated by carbonatization, sericitization and pyritization of the wallrocks. These deposits formed late in the geologicalevolution of the Abitibi.Pyritic gold deposits range from deformed massive sulphide lenses to zones of syntectonic pyrite-rich veinlets and associated pyrite disseminations. These deposits occur in environments dominated by felsic volcanic rocks that are typically converted to sericite schists near the deposits. The associated pre-metamorphic aluminous alteration is now characterized by metamorphic sericite, andalusite, kyanite and chloritoid, overprinted by a late retrogression of alumino- silicates. These deposits probably represent deformed volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits, but the timing of gold introduction in these is not fully understood.The differences in geological attributes reflect significant differences in the genesis these deposits: the pyritic deposits probably have a multistage genesis, including a pre-tectonic stage, in contrast to a single stage late-tectonic genesis for the quartz-vein deposits.RESUMELa partie Est de la Sous-Province de l’Abitibi( segment québécois) renferme deux types de gites d' or: ceux de type ""veine de quartz"" et ceux, plus rares, de type ""pyriteux"". "A series of flotation tests was carried out on Brunswick Mining ore with various pH modifiers (soda ash, lime, KOH) and added ions (ferric, nitrate, sulphate) in the copper lead rougher circuit. The main objective was to identify downstream effects on sphalerite activation and subsequent zinc rougher flotation. Some significant differences in zinc flotation were obtained. Most notably, soda ash and nitrate ions had a positive impact and ferric ions a pronounced negative effect on selectivity.Selected products from the flotation tests were deslimed at 400 mesh, washed with methanol, air dried, placed in teflon vials purged with nitrogen and stored at -15 degrees C. Numerous liberated sphalerite and pyrite particles were selected under a stereoscope and placed in rows on indium foil. The surface compositions of the particles were analyzed with an innovative laser probe (LIMS). The very small analysis area of the LIMS enables the surfaces of individual grains to be characterized. In addition, the rapid analysis time allows a statistically significant number of grains to be analyzed quickly.Surface lead appears to play a major role in zinc activation/flotation. "After cooling and thickening, slurry from the second stage of the Hudbay zinc pressure leach circuit is filtered and washed on a belt filter prior to disposal. At times, the belt filter can be a bottleneck to the process. Preliminary studies show that filterability of the second-stage (HAL) autoclave leach residue can be indicated by particle size distribution of the filter feed and filtered residue cake. In particular, the Volume Weighted Mean Diameter, D[4,3], generated by a laser diffraction particle size analyzer from samples of HAL Filter feed, shows residues that filter more poorly have a lower Volume Weighted Mean Diameter than those that filter better. INTRODUCTIONHudbay produces cast zinc metal from blends of zinc concentrates at its metallurgical complex in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Canada, using Sherritt’s two-stage pressure leach process (Collins et al., 1994; Collins et al., 1995; Barth et al., 1998; Shairp et al., 2006). Pressure leaching replaced the original roastleach- electrowinning process in 1993.Filtration for the second-stage (HAL) leach residue originally consisted of two stages of vacuum drum filtration with intermediate cake repulping stirred tanks. As part of Hudbay’s 777 Project, with a designed increase in cast zinc production, a pre-feasibility study by SNC-Lavalin Inc. showed that losses of soluble zinc in the zinc pressure leach residue could be reduced by installing more efficient filtering and washing equipment. Based on laboratory performance, capital cost, installation ability, and potential operating cost savings, a 70 m2 Filtres Phillipe belt filter was chosen for the HAL residue, and commissioned in 2000/2001.When the HAL belt filter is performing well, there is no pooling of water on the surface, moisture content is relatively low, and subsequent analysis shows that water soluble zinc content is relatively low. Introduction So many minerals and mineral products are used in the glass industry that it would require an unduly long paper to deal adequately with all of them. Only those that go to make up the batch for the more common types of glass will be discussed here, and even with these only, the list is a lengthy one. It is true that for the body of the glass comparatively few materials are required-as silica sand, soda-ash, lime, and feldspar. The others are used mainly to colour or decolorize the glass, or to give it some other desired characteristic, such as high lustre, greater physical strength, or opalescence; but, although they may be present in very small quantities, they are just as in-dispensable to the glass industry as are the main constituents of the batch. Sand Sand is essentially quartz, the dioxide of silicon, Si02. Most glass contains from 71J to 75 per cent silica. Sand for use in the glass industry, or 'glass sand', is obtained both from deposits of unconsolidated material, commonly referred to as 'sand', and from solid rock-sandstone, quartz, or quartzite. For the manufacture of glass, the material must possess a high degree of purity, as noted below, so that, although sand is widespread in most parts of the world, and sandstone, quartz, and quartzite are not at all uncommon, it is only in certain places that suitable deposits are found. At the present time, most of the glass sand used in Canada is imported from France, Belgium, and the United States. The French material, from Fontainebleau, near Paris, is known the world over as a very high quality glass sand. That from Belgium is nearly as good and is lower is price.

"Titanium oxide films were fabricated on commercially pure titanium surfaces via anodization procedure. Anodization parameters, anodization time and voltage were altered, whereas temperature and chemical composition of anodization bath were kept constant. The main idea in this study is to obtain rough titanium-oxide surfaces. The type and feature of titanium oxide formed were observed via SEM and EDX analyses. What was revealed from SEM and EDX analyses were combined with Ti-O phase diagram in order to make judgment on the type of phases obtained, e.g. solid solution and/or compounds. Studies on the different regions of each sample showed that surfaces consist of different titanium oxide compounds with various O/Ti ratios in nano level and solid solutions varying in terms of chemistry on the same sample. Thus together rough surfaces and inhomogeneous distribution of "titanium oxides" were obtained. It was also found that when anodization time and voltage were increased, more granular surface with higher O/Ti atomic ratio was obtained."

Glacial lake sediments or glaciolacustrine deposits form a significant portion of the Canadian, Scandinavian and Russian landscapes. Furthermore, 50 per cent of the Archean volcanic belts within the Canadian Shield area are covered wholly or in part by these deposits. Because of the high electrical conductivity and low hydraulic conductivity of these compact sediments, the application of geophysical (electrical) and geochemical techniques in such areas becomes a difficult task. The presence of these sediments has therefore hampered exploration for metallic sulphide deposits in some of the most important metallogenic environments of Canada. Similar problems exist in some tropical countries, such as Australia, where the overburden may be very conductive. In this paper, the extent and provenance of the glaciolacustrine deposits within the Canadian Shield are described. The geochemical and geophysical factors that hinder exploration in the clay belts are reviewed, with case histories of successful and unsuccessful applications of some of these techniques. The most successful geochemical technique used within glacial clay belts is the sampling of lodgement till beneath the clay cover, and the analysis of the heavy mineral fraction of that till. Surficial sampling has not been successfully applied. Some geophysical techniques, more specifically electromagnetic and magnetic induced-polarization techniques, have detected mineralization beneath substantially deep clay or saline overburden layers. Some suggestions have been made, such as the use of anions in hydrogeochemical surveys and the use of wide-band multi-frequency EM systems. When implemented, they will hopefully make the current geochemical and geophysical methods more effective in exploration for base metal sulphides within clay-covered terrains.

This paper gives an account of the laboratory testing, plant testing and final inclusion of the two-stage sulphuric acid leaching process in the Milliken mill. Operational results for September, 1962, are presented, showing a uranium extraction of 95.5 per cent, with a saving of some 16 lbs. of 100 per cent H~S04 and some 9 lbs. of lime per ton milled. Methods for effecting further improvements in the process are indicated. HISTORY P RIOR to the incorporation of two-stage leaching, the process for the treatment of uranium ores at Milliken consisted of a single-stage sulphuric acid leach, followed by a solution recovery step involving washing in thickeners and two-stage filtration. The thickener overflow solution was subsequently concentrated and purified by ion exchange, and the uranium was recovered, by two-stage precipitation, as ammonium diuranate. "Cyclone separators of different design are being used in increasing numbers in the coal industry of today. One recent addition, the Compound Water Cyclone, is finding application in the North American and Australian coal fields for the beneficiation of coking coals and for the reduction of sulphur and ash in steam coals. In this paper, the combination of specific-gravity separation, thickening, classification and water recovery are discussed. All of these operations can now be accomplished by means of cyclones that are effectively combined in circuits of compact design. In the layout of such integrated plants, three main sections are distinguished, namely: a Main Section for cleaning the plus-28-mesh fractions; an Effluent-Beneficiation Section for treating the minus-28-mesh fractions; and a Water-Recovery Section, where the wash water is reconditioned, and the fine solids are removed in a semi-solid state as slugs or pellets. Depending on the nature of the coal and the specifications of the purchaser, water-cyclone circuits can be flexibly combined with HM Cyclones and froth flotation, as well as with ancillary equipment for dewatering and drying."

Oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) steel is being considered as an in-core structural material of future nuclear reactor systems because of its excellent creep and irradiation resistance on the basis of uniformly distributed nano-oxide particles with a high density, which is extremely stable at high temperature in a ferritic/martensitic matrix. Up to now, ODS steels have been intensively studied and developed to apply these materials to the in-core structural component of future nuclear systems. The primary activity is to develop high strength advanced ODS steel, fabrication technology for the structural components and key joining technology for the component fabrication. As a result, a Fe-10Cr-1Mo alloy with a superior creep resistance at high temperatures has been developed. An optimized fabrication process of this alloy system has been established through various process conditions in mechanical alloying, hot/cold working, and heat treatment processes. Joining technology for the ODS steel components is also being developed using solid-state welding such as magnetic pulse welding, friction stir welding and diffusion boding. These R&D activities will contribute to the realization of ODS materials for future nuclear reactor system applications.

Ceramic clays of the Prairie Provinces range in age from Lower Cretaceous to Pleistocene and Recent. Two significant ceramic clay horizons are the Paleocene Willo wbunch Member of the Ravenscrag Formation in Southern Saskatchewan and the Upper Cretaceous Whitemud Formation, which is found in Saskatchewan and Alberta. The Willowbunch Member is worked at one locale in Saskatchewan; the Whitemud Formation is worked at several locales in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Bentonite operations are found at Morden in Manitoba, Rosalind and Onoway in Alberta, and Wilcox in Saskatchewan.

THE Myrtle group of mining claims is situated on Barkerville mountain in the Cariboo mining district of British Columbia, west of the old mining town of Barkerville. An 1,800-foot adit, known as the Shamrock tunnel, was driven in 1935-36 from the Barkerville road and in the general direction of the Myrtle group. It was proposed to enlarge this adit to more convenient section, extend it 2,500 feet int0 Myrtle ground, and from there drive a main entry 3,000 feet along the length of the group. Several laterals were also to be driven off this main entry as part of the tunnel schedule. It was thus originally proposed to drive 5,500 feet of new adit and 1,800 feet of laterals, a total of 7,300 feet of new work. Work was commenced with a bulldozer on April 21st, 1941, cutting a bench on the hillside for a plant site. The power plant was ready for operation on August 8th. Slashing and re-timbering of the old adit rook longer than was expected. It was found that 57 per cent of the length required timbering, chiefly by fore-poling, and there was also trouble in several sections with swelling ground. First round in the new face was taken on September 17th, when a 2-shift daily schedule was commenced. Due to delays in delivery of electrical equipment, it was not possible to add the third shift until November 14th. From then on, a 3-shift daily schedule was maintained with the exception of holidays and fortnightly change Sundays until August 1st, 1942, when shortage of labour caused the dropping of a shift. All work was suspended on August 14th. The ground through which the tunnel passed was such that the driving was often interrupted by the need of protective timber at the face. Further, crews were continuously employed timbering behind the face, and in maintenance of timbered sections in swelling ground. Roughly 980 feet of the new workings are now timbered, about 21 per cent of the total.

Activated carbon is proven to be able to catalyze arsenic oxidation in aqueous solution under acidic conditions. A commercially available granular coconut shell based activated carbon (AC) has been evaluated for catalysis of arsenic oxidation in this study. The rapid small-scale column test (RSSCT) has been developed to simulate and predict the performance of a carbon-based arsenic treatment system in a pilot scale reactor. Effects of residence time, aeration rate, and initial arsenic concentration in the influent solution on the AC catalysis of arsenic oxidation under dynamic and continuous conditions were studied by manipulating these parameters during RSSCTs. The effectiveness of the AC on arsenic oxidation was examined over the course of constant diffusivity based RSSCT operation. Residence time and initial arsenite concentration are proven to be the most effective impacting parameters on the arsenic oxidation process. For the 218 min residence time, the highest steady-state arsenic oxidation efficiency achieved was 98% with 1 g/L As(III) being treated at pH=1 under 0.05 L/min oxygen aeration. In a long-running RSSCT, the oxidation efficiency did not seem to deteriorate over a course of 666 hours operation, corresponding to 13986 mL total influent throughput volume. INTRODUCTION Arsenic is toxic to both animals and plants and inorganic arsenicals are proven carcinogens in humans. The increased extraction of low grade and complex mineral resources has introduced high ratios of arsenic into metallurgical processes. Discharge of arsenic by acid mine drainage resulting from mining activities has added intensive pressure on the need for proper treatment (Lawrence & Higgs, 1999). Since trivalent arsenite is more toxic and has lower affinity to solid surfaces for adsorption, many treatment systems initiate with an oxidation step to convert arsenite to arsenate and reach the ultimate immobilization of arsenic by the following precipitation of arsenate (Nazari, Radzinski, & Ghahreman, 2016). Scorodite precipitation has been studied extensively as a means of arsenic immobilization due to its high stability and negligible potential of releasing arsenic (Filippou & Demopoulos, 1997). As a stable ferric arsenate mineral, crystalline scorodite can contain up to 30 wt% arsenic (Paktunc, Dutrizac, & Gertsman, 2008). Arsenic must be in its pentavalent oxidation state in order for scorodite to be precipitated via oxidizing ferrous ions (Clancy, Hayes, & Raskin, 2013).

"The Lorraine property is located in the northern Intermontane Belt, north-central British Columbia. The property is underlain by intrusive rocks of the Duckling Creek Syenite Complex, an Early Jurassic, alkaline phase of the Late Triassic-Early Cretaceous Hogem Batholith. Two significant zones of copper-gold mineralization have been explored to date; the Main zone (historical Upper and Lower deposits) and the recently discovered Extension zone. A combined geological resource was estimated in 1975 for the Main zone deposits at 10 million tonnes averaging 0.7% Cu, and from 0.1 g/t Au to 0.34 g/t Au. The Extension zone, still at an exploration stage, is estimated to be considerably smaller than the Main zone.Copper-gold mineralization at Lorraine Mountain exhibits characteristics suggestive of both magmatic and hydrothermal origins, and may be related to orthomagmatic-hydrothermal fluid flow contemporaneous with magmatism and development of migmatitic fabrics. A depth greater than the depth of formation of classical porphyries may explain many of the variations displayed by mineralization at Lorraine. These characteristics distinguish Lorraine from other members of the alkalic suite of porphyry Cu-Au deposits in the Canadian Cordillera.IntroductionThe Lorraine prospect is located in the Omineca Mountains, at the headwaters of Duckling Creek, 56 km northwest of Germansen Landing (Fig. 1). The property is centred at latitude 55°55'N, longitude l25°26'W on NTS mapsheet 93N/14W. The area is typified by mountains of moderate relief, with elevations ranging from 1150 m in the valleys to peaks of 2000 m. Valleys are U-shaped and blanketed by glacial till which give way to steep, talus covered slopes and sharp ridges. Outcrop is generally limited to elevations above 1600 m (Fig. 2)."

"The Courier 300 on-stream analysis system manufactured by Outokumpu has now been in operation at five of the company's concentration plants long enough to give a reliable basis for closer examination of the benefits achieved in control of these processes. The first system was installed at the Pyhiisalmi mine at the end of 1967. Since November 1970, two analyzers have been in operation at Pyhiisalmi feeding the assay data to a process computer which controls the whole plant and does the optimization of the process. In October 1970 the Courier 300 analysis system was installed at S. T. O. LESKINEN J. KOSKINEN the Keretti concentrator of the Outokumpu mine, followed soon by installations at the Vihanti Mine in May 1971, at the new Vuonos mine in November J 971 and at t he Kotalahti mine in December 1971. Since installation of the Courier analysis systems, considerable improvements have been achieved in the control and the economy of the plants. Immediate knowledge of the changes in the process and the possibility for rapid action has resulted in evener production and higher capacity and recovery. The recovery has been increased most significantly at the Vihanti concentrator, which operates on a complex ore. Consumption of chemicals has been reduced at all concentrators. Due to the fact that process control and partly also bilance analysis are not achieved by conventional methods any more, it has been possible to reduce the personnel of the laboratories drastically. Two of the plants, viz. the Pyhiisalmi and the Vuonos concentrators, are computercontrolled. The Vuonos concentrator started operation in January 1972 under computer control from the very beginning. The Pyhiisalmi concentrator has been computer-controlled since 1970. The Courier 300 analysis system was described in detail at the AIME Centennial Annual Meeting (1971). In this paper, less attention is paid to the analysis system. Only the sampling system of the Courier 300 is described in more detail. In the development of sampling equipment, effective use has been made of the company's wide knowledge of the problems involved and the test field offered by its concentrators. The sampling equipment includes secondary samplers and six basically different types of primary samplers, with which most sampling situations can be managed."

The Federal Government's White Paper on Tax Reform received further major criticism in the reports of the Committees of the House of Commons and the Senate, which recently completed a lengthy review including public hearings of the government's proposals. These reports both criticized the emphasis placed by the White Paper on its concept of tax equity rather than on a system which would promote economic growth. However, the Finance Committee of the House of Commons was prepared to accept, with modifications, a number of the White Paper's key reform proposals. The Senate Finance Committee was more critical of the basic thrust of the tax reform program and recommended that a modification of the existing tax system would be more appropriate to Canada's needs. Both Committees re-commended a more favourable treatment of mining income than that originally proposed in the White Paper, and to some extent both Committees suggested proposals that were even more favourable to the industry than those set out in Finance Minister Benson's amended proposals made in August of this year. This article out-lines the principal recommendations and comments in the reports of both the House of Commons Committee and the Senate Finance Committee.

"The 1980s have proven extremely difficult years for many resource-based organizations. Mining companies have learned how to weather the negative effects of inevitable economic cycles. However, with some notable exceptions, such as gold mining companies, the mining industry has faced a broader and deeper round of cutbacks than any experienced since the 1930s. Downsizing has been a major issue for many mining companies as they have faced the need for dramatic staffing cost reductions in the recent past.The continuing current rapid rate of change in technology and the marketplace, coupled with increasing merger and acquisition activity, will provide an on-going need for some companies to face major reorganization. This inevitably will involve down-sizing activity in some instances.Given this scenario, it is worth reviewing the industry's past experiences to identify approaches and techniques that could prove of value in handling a future staff downsizing challenge. This paper is based upon a downsizing consultant's experiences with the mining industry and other sectors, and highlights what appear to be key staff reduction planning and process issues.Planning for DownsizingA review of companies' downsizing activities of the last few years reveals four key activity stages which need to be addressed to ensure a successful transition. These stages are:1. organization planning;2. developing cost reduction strategies;3. implementing downsizing; and4. building for the future.A business situation that is severe enough to require drastic staff cuts typically affects all aspects of a company's operations. Most mining companies have reviewed cost efficiencies in many operational areas. However, these reviews often have been short term in focus . As a result, some companies have experienced multiple downsizing; each event a response to an immediate economic threat. This has sometimes resulted in an unstable organizational environment, with severe stresses on staff morale and productivity.In the long term it is more efficient and less stressful to the organization to adopt a more comprehensive and longer-term strategy. Especially in capital intensive mining operations, it makes sense to review all areas of business activity, not just staffing."

"L'objectif principal recherché lors du broyage d 'un minerai est de libérer adéquatement ses valeurs utiles en vue de leur concentration ultérieure. La pratique courante consiste à tenter d'obtenir un produit de broyage d'une granulométrie constante. Malheureusement, les propriétés texturales des minéraux utiles varient naturellement dans un gisement et une telle stratégie n'entraine pas toujours pour ces minéraux un degré de libération constant. Pour un rendement optimal du procédé de concentration, cette variable très importante doit donc être périodiquement vérifiée.Jusqu'à maintenant, la plupart des études de libération des minerais se font en examinant des sections polies de particules du minerai broyé. Le GRAAIM a récemment assemblé un système modulaire d'analyse d'images qui servira en grande partie à des mesures automatiques du degré de libération des minéraux. Le système s'avère relativement peu coûteux comparativement à la plupart des analyseurs de texture conventionnels si l'on considère que plusieurs de ses composantes, par exemple le miniordinateur, sont utilisées à une foule d'autres applications, et il permet de plus une grande souplesse d'utilisation puisque l'on a qu'à construire des algorithmes de mesure et de calcul en fonction de l'objectif recherché. Des programmes particuliers permettant des études automatiques de libération sur des sections polies de particules ont ainsi été élaborés. Ils permettent également des mesures de teneurs et de distributions granulométriques apparentes des particules. Des résultats obtenus dans le cas de minerais de fer sont brièvement présentés afin d'illustrer la technique."
