MR. JORALEMON'S dispassionate discussion of this subject in TECHNICAL PUBLICATION 340 of the Institute shows clearly some of the failures and successes of geology in the discovery of ore deposits. He forces us to recognize, with humility, that chance has played a greater part than geology in the recent discovery of several great copper deposits. I think, however, he wrongly ascribes to unexpected or chance discovery some deposits that were found as a direct result of geological investigation. I refer to the Rhodesian copper deposits,, particularly Roan Antelope and Mufulira, both mentioned by him as having been found by chance. Also,. I think Mr. Joralemon's paper, inadvertently, does not- give the proper credit for the early recognition of the possibilities of these deposits. I feel sure that Mr. Joralemon and the gentlemen given credit by him will welcome any further information on this subject that will throw light on what will some day- be of. historical interest and importance. Consequently, I should like to set forth some additional data that throw light on who should receive the most credit, and' to indicate that, in my opinion, sound. geological reasoning and not chance is to be, credited for the development of the. Roan Antelope and Muf ulira mines.

WHEN so many statements are being made relative to the requirements of zinc metal, it is difficult for some of us who are acquainted with the industry to visualize how it is possible to step up production so as to supply some of the fantastic requirement figures that are published from time to time. I shall attempt to approach this subject from the standpoint of existing conditions which affect production, also keeping in mind the price ceiling under which the industry operates. Total production of primary and secondary zinc in the United States for 1941 will be about 878,000 tons, to which should be added about 36,000 tons of Mexican slab zinc available for consumption or export from the United States, giving a total available of 914,000 tons. Production of slab zinc of all grades in 1942 should be 953,000 tons. Adding the available Mexican supply should bring the total to 989,000 tons.

By electrical prospecting, orebodies that do not otherwise manifest themselves at the surface may be located. Conditions favorable to success with the methods are: Favorable geological conditions, such a proportion of minerals of good electrical conductivity in the orebody as will render the latter materially a better conductor than the enclosing rock, situation of the orebody within the range of influence of the electrical currents used and in proportion to this range a sufficient area of horizontal cross section of the orebody. The result is to permit of spotting drill holes accurately and to save the expense of drilling barren ground. THE art of prospecting, like other branches of mining, has developed rapidly during the last ten years, mainly because of the advancement of mining geology, but also because of the development of "geophysical methods," which are based on the different physical characters of minerals and rocks, e. g., specific gravity, elasticity, and magnetic and electric properties. These methods have proved of great value, especially in countries where the rock is covered by soil and direct geologic investigation is out of the question. In prospecting for orebodies, the methods based on studying differences in electrical conductivity have proved most successful; for which reason, the methods of electrical prospecting have been subject to the most energetic and systematic work, especially in Sweden. This paper gives a brief description of the methods of electrical prospecting now in use, especially the new electromagnetic methods, which have not been described before. The great differences in the electrical properties, especially in conductivity, between ore minerals and rock minerals are fundamental to all methods of electrical prospecting, for which reason, the electrical conductivity of ore minerals and rock minerals has been carefully studied in connection with and previous to the development of the various methods of prospecting with electricity. Ore minerals with a metallic luster, such as chalcopyrite, iron pyrite, galena, specular iron, magnetite, etc., also graphite and a number of cows, have considerably higher conductivity than the surrounding rock and soil (see Table 1). The figures of the table denote the specific resistance W, expressed in ohms for a cube with an edge of 1 centimeter.

At the Annual Meeting of the Institute, February, 1908, the following amendments to the Constitution were proposed for action at a future business meeting (see Trans., XXXIX, xxvii) To Art. II. After the first sentence of this Article, add the following sentence « These classes may be subdivided by the Council, according to profession, length of membership, nationality, or other conditions not inconsistent with the provisions of this article." To Art. III. In the first line, substitute " fifteen " for "ten " dollars. At the Annual Meeting of February, 1909, action upon these amendments was postponed to the next business meeting (see Bulletin No. 27, March, 1909, p. xiv). Of these two amendments, the first has been withdrawn, as unnecessary-the subdivision thereby authorized being already practicable without such amendment. The second amendment will be acted upon at the next Annual Meeting, February 15, 1910, and the Secretary has been instructed to call the attention of members to the subject in such a way as to secure a general vote upon it. A special circular, now being prepared by the Secretary, will shortly be sent to all members. Year Book of the Institute. Man's material advance from one level of civilization to the next has involved the development of new, more useful tools and the utilization of energy greater than he alone could produce. These two essentials for material progress have developed at an ever increasing rate in the last century. While the first really successful use of mechanical energy derived from burning fuel was in James Watt's steam engine which pumped water from coal mines in Cornwall about 1770, there was still very little use of mechanical energy in mining by 1900 except for pumping and hoisting. Compressed air, having some of the characteristics of steam and which operated engines not unlike steam engines or steam hammers, powered the first attempts to mine coal with energy greater than human muscle could provide. When direct current-powered traction cars replaced horse-drawn transportation cars on city streets, it was natural that direct current locomotives should begin to replace animal and human power in mine haulage. Slowly, trolley and battery locomotives were developed and introduced. With d-c systems being established for haulage, it was natural that improved cutting machines should be developed and powered by d-c motors. Thus began the years of

The cost of transporting mineral raw materials and products will receive greater attention in the next 10-20 years because raw material sources and markets are changing. Today, shipping costs may equal 20%-80% of the landed or delivered cost of raw materials and products. Companies are learning that total costs are what count to the company and customers. Transportation has historically been priced at "What the traffic would bear" and little real effort has been made to analyze the shippers problem and provide them with effective and low cost transportation. This climate existed in both ocean and rail transport. The shiplines and railroads did not understand the shipper's problems and few shippers understood transportation and how to buy it. Recently more consideration has been given to the advantages between the American Merchant Marine- American Flag and Foreign flag vessels. The discussions held focused on what action is desirable to encourage American flag operations. Based on extensive studies made by both A. E. Gibson, Maritime Administrator and R. J. Blackwell, Deputy Maritime Administrator, the resulting statistics show that the potential for ocean transport is as follows: U. S. Foreign trade is estimated at 620 million long tons annually in the early 1980's. It was 418 million tons in 1968. In 1968 only 6.4% of the U.S. ocean borne trade was carried on American Flag vessels. About 50 million tons of early 1980's trade will go ill container ships. That leaves over 500 million tons to go as bulk or "neo-bulk" cargo.

It is customary to ascribe two general modes of occurrence to natural gas, namely, shale gas which, as the name indicates, is found in shale, and reservoir gas, which occurs in sandstone, conglomerate and dolomitic limestone. Both of these types are found in the Cleveland district. The shale gas has been produced on a small scale for a long period of years, probably dating back as far as 1883. Shale gas is a low-pressure gas, small in volume with variable pressure, and is limited to no definite horizon. It is generally independent of oil, may last for a long time, and is not dependent to any great extent on the structure of the rocks. There are many such wells in the district which range from 400 to 1,840 ft. in depth, although most have been completed at about 800 ft. This indicates that the wells pass through the Cleveland and Chagrin shales into the Huron or Portage shale of the Upper Devonian. During the last 2 years great interest has developed in a deeper-seated reservoir gas. What is commonly called reservoir gas is generally a high-pressure gas occurring in large volume at a definite horizon. Oil may, or may not, be associated with the gas, and in most regions in which reservoir gas is found, the geological structure is of great importance. This type of gas occurs in all large fields such as those of West Virginia which have been supplying Cleveland until the recent discovery of local gas at great depths in commercial amounts. Historical Outline The oldest well producing reservoir gas in the district was drilled in 1886 in Newburg for what was then known as the Cleveland Rolling Mill Co. This well was 3,000 ft. deep, and was thought to have reached the "Clinton" formation. Two "sands" showing small amounts of oil were recorded in the Niagara limestone at depths of 2,658 and 2,686 ft. This is about the horizon of the so-called Newburg sand which has proved to be of some importance as a source of gas and oil by recent drilling operations. The rock pressure was reported to be 400 to 500 lb. per square inch, but since the volume was only 14,000 to 16,000 cu. ft. daily, the well was not only considered unsuccessful but was thought to prove the absence of high-pressure gas in commercial quantities in the Cleveland district.

Rope-type haulage has had many applications in the mining and allied industries. Records have indicated favorable results both from a standpoint of efficiency and investment. The Truax-Traer Coal Co. has used some variations of rope haulage at their mines and preparation plants. They have built a system which solves their particular problems, and have an investment which has indicated an annual savings in operating costs. Rope haulage, as applied to the mining industry, goes back many years for both underground and surface mining, or a combination of both. The Truax-Traer Coal Co. has used gravity retarding hoists as well as several variations of rope haulage, including electrical and combinations of both, but each was limited in its use and application by natural conditions and economies of the operation. Several systems of rope haulage equipment are offered by manufacturers today for handling railroad car movement on a limited or continuous basis. The portal and railroad loading facilities of Truax-Traer Coal Co.'s Burning Star Slope mine, located in Jackson County, Ill., were moved in 1960. The old location was abondoned, eliminating 3% miles of underground track haulage. The mine was converted to an all-belt system, and coal is loaded at a new raw coal plant and shipped by railroad cars to a central cleaning plant. The company wanted to operate the surface facilities as efficiently as possible, employing a minimum number of workers, using the latest type railroad car movers. The existing rope haulage facilities at several locations throughout the country were examined and considered for the Slope mine location. The application of each appeared favorable but lacked flexibility, and it was difficult to justify the capital investment. The company decided to investigate the possibility of building a system that would apply to their problem, and have an investment that could be amortized in a relatively short period. SPECIFICATIONS They employed the services of Allen and Garcia Co. of Chicago, Ill. Through combined efforts, a railroad car rope system was designed to specifications as shown in Fig. 1. The Falk Corp. of Milwaukee, Wis. built the hoist to the specifications as shown in Fig. 2. It has an all welded base and pedestals. The all welded drum is not grooved. A single helical gear was used in lieu of herring bone type. A Falk speed reducer, Unit 90Y3-A, is driven by a 25-hp 1800-rpm, 440-V ac type 'C' (high starting torque) drip-proof, Frame 324-U motor. The speed reducer shaft is equipped with a solenoid operated ac spring set shoe brake, operating on a 7-in. diam. brake wheel. The dolly car, shown in Fig. 3, was field constructed, using the trucks and frame of a railroad tank car. Truax-Traer did not alter the frame but added plates and anchors for hoist ropes and frames for 8.5 tons of concrete to be used as ballast on the car. The limit switch operating shoe was also installed and the car coupler latch mechanism overhauled. The hoist rope selected was 1% in. in diam., 6x37 improved plow steel extra flexible, right lay, regular lay, with independent wire rope core, and preformed. Wedge sockets were used to connect rope to the dolly car as shown in Fig. 4. The system employs two 30-in. and three 16-in. diam. sheaves. All are bronze bushed and equipped with grease fittings. Larger sheaves are used for directional change of hoist rope and the smaller ones as snub sheaves to correct fleet angle of rope as it approaches the hoist drum. The Trench lay cable, buried between the two tracks, is used for electrical distribution and controls between hoists and operator's cab. Foundations for the system required 187 cu yards of reinforced concrete using approximately 60 cu yd each at three locations. Four hoists are employed in the system, two for each track. A pair is interconnected electrically and when one operates, moving the cars, the tail hoist idles with brake released. The process is repeated for the reverse direction. A limit switch, mounted in the track near each end of the system, is tripped by the dolly car as it approaches the hoist. That America's great coal deposits eventually will be our principal source of liquid as well as solid fuels is generally accepted. Moreover, the day when synthetic oil from coal will begin to supplement our petroleum supplies does not appear to be far off. The American petroleum industry has not spared effort or expenditure in its attempt to keep pace with the demand for oil, and recent production has exceeded expectations. However, the rapidly rising demand for liquid fuels plus the increasing difficulty of finding and developing the new oil needed even to maintain present production rates make it highly unlikely that oil from domestic wells can fully meet future oil requirements. Therefore, it appears that one or more of the following courses must be followed: 1. Curtail oil consumption. 2. Increase imports. 3. Develop new sources such as synthetic liquid fuels.

REINARTZ, Middletown, Ohio.-Mr. Carl Peirce has presented a valuable paper on a subject that has been very widely discussed in recent years, especially since the demand for high finish, deep drawing and other grades of sheet steel in the lower carbon ranges has become an important factor in the steel business. Steel of this analysis has been produced for many years, but the product for which it was made did not require the extra care in the steel plant that it does today. It must now be worked down into thin sheets for special purposes and undergo many severe finishing processes both in the steel mill and in the fabricating plants. Mr. Peirce's paper has outlined in a concise and logical manner the steps which must be taken in manufacturing such steels. The secret of successs is attention to details of well known steel practices. I agree with him that quality steels of this class cannot normally be made out of inferior raw materials. Scrap should be clean and if possible not too variable in analysis. Galvanized scrap or babbit are particularly objectionable. Scrap should be in such physical condition that undue delays are not encountered in charging the furnace. Limestone should preferably contain over 95 per cent. available calcium carbonate, and be free from clay or other foreign substances. Almost universal practice shows that 10 per cent. limestone is required for proper slag volumes to protect the metal from over oxidation. The use of 8 per cent. limestone makes the operation less fool-proof.

WORK described herein was undertaken with the aim of determining some of the physical-chemical properties of electrolytes suitable for the electrodeposition of pure zirconium metal. In this paper the phase diagram, vapor pressure, and activities in the melt are considered. In a companion paper,' the electrolytic conductivity of some of these melts is reported. The melts studied were mixtures of NaCl and/or KC1 with ZrC1,. Chloride melts were chosen for study because 1) if the electrolyte is to be useful for industrial electrodeposition of zirconium, the chlorides will be preferred to the relatively costly bromides and iodides; 2) fluoride melts were being studied in another laboratory (Horizons Inc., Cleveland); and 3) melts containing oxygen, in any form, are unsuitable for preparation of pure zirconium, because of the great affinity of this metal for oxygen. Unlike electrodeposition from aqueous solution, the fundamental behavior of fused-salt electrolysis is poorly understood. In most cases, such basic electrochemical information as the phase diagram of the melt system, activities in the melt, conductivity, the nature of the current-carrying ions, the equilibrium electrode potentials, and the overvoltage behavior of the electrodes is unknown to the researcher who would develop a new electrodeposition process employing a fused salt. This research project was designed to supply information about some of these basic physical-chemical properties so that an intelligent choice of electrolyte for electrodeposition studies could be made. Experimental The experimental difficulties-encountered in this work result from the properties of zirconium metal and ZrC1,. ZrC1, is a solid which sublimes at 334°C. It is rapidly hydrolyzed by moist air to HC1, ZrOCl,, and ZrO,. Unusual precautions were exercised in this work to prevent hydrolysis of ZrC1, and rigidly to exclude oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and carbon from the melts under study. These elements are known to react with and contaminate zirconium metal. All melts were studied in vacuum systems, i.e., in the presence of ZrC1, vapor only. Transfer of ZrC1, to or from the melts was accomplished entirely by vacuum sublimation. In this way, neither the melts nor the ingredients thereof were permitted to

The direct-metal cars or ladles of the Maryland Steel Company have a capacity of 18 tons when filled within 12 inches of the top. On account of this large capacity, the formation of skulls in these ladles is by no means as rapid as in smaller ladles; but a skull once formed is a very unwieldy piece of metal to handle, and especially to remove from the ladle. We have found it cheaper to clean ladles often rather than make very heavy skulls. We aim to keep the ring of chilled metal that forms on the surface of the iron chipped off, so that the skull shall form principally at the bottom until it becomes so thick as to render the ladle unfit for service. Sometimes it happens that a ladle may be held for several hours filled with molten metal. This invariably leaves a large amount of chilled metal in the ladle. Frequently the skull will weigh several tons, and will be of the full size of the ladle inside, with a top crust, having perhaps a hole 12 inches square, through which the molten metal was poured. In order to remove skulls that cannot be easily chipped out with a bar, we use what may be called a skull-extractor, consisting of a hydraulic cylinder mounted in the center of a heavy cast-iron plate, standing vertically on a suitable foundation. Figs. 1 and 2 show the construction and operation of this apparatus, Fig. 1 being a view of the extractor with pistons extended to full stroke, and Fig. 2 a view with ladle in position and pistons about to commence the stroke. in both figures, A is the hydraulic cylinder, B the vertical cast-iron plate, and C the foundation. The water-pressure, admitted through the pipe, P, is 750 pounds per square inch, and the inside diameter of A is 14 inches. THE propaganda in favor of the adoption of the metric system of weights and measures in the United States is founded upon the idea of compulsory adoption. There can be no argument about this, for the metric system has been legal, by Act of Congress, in the United States since 1866. Nobody ought to oppose an educational movement, and if pro-metric activities were confined to that there might be no reason to gainsay them. I do not propose to enter into any discussion of 'the relative merits of the metric and the English systems of weights and measures. The simple case is that the metric system not having made much headway in the United States after more than 50 years of legality, 'it is now aimed to force it upon the people by legislative compulsion. The main arguments in favor of such compulsory adoption are that it would- simplify the education of our children and would promote our foreign trade, for the reason that more countries of the world, with which we do business, use the metric system than the English system. I am going to disregard,' in this contribution, the first of these arguments, for it is largely conjectural." Not so with the other, which is specific, and being so its speciousness can be, proved. It is true that the metric system is used by more countries of the world than the, English system. It is commonly stated that of the Indo-European nations only the United States, Great Britain, and her colonies, and Russia have failed to adopt it. However, if with "colonies" we equate Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania and South Africa, we have a longer list of non-metric countries, and it comprises not only the most populous, but also the most industrial nations of the world.

SMELTING of iron ore, manufacture of steel, and the fabrication of ferrous metal products are all processes that require energy. Charcoal was adequate, to supply this energy for the relatively simple processes of the early iron-masters. In the fourth decade of the nineteenth century, anthracite and bituminous coal and later coke supplanted charcoal for the smelting of iron. So far as the chemical phases of the process were concerned, charcoal was an ideal iron-furnace fuel. It had practically no sulphur, and its ash, besides being low in quantity, consisted chiefly of lime and alkalies, thus supplying a part of the flux required for smelting the ore. The ash of coal and coke on the other hand, being largely silica, had itself to be fluxed with bases added to the charge. Physically, however, coke proved to have many advantages over charcoal, which could not be used in the furnaces of today. The chief reason, however, for the change from charcoal to coke was the impossibility of maintaining an adequate wood supply.

SOME eighty years have elapsed since the discovery of the Clifton magnetite deposit. For a few years about the time of the Civil War it was mined for iron ore. most of which was smelted on the property. Since risen the small exposures of ore in the old cut. test pits, and on the dumps have been examined by various prospectors. The M. A. Hanna Co. first became interested in the possibilities of the deposit when we discovered the large area of strong magnetic anomalies caused by the margnetite bed, indicating a size that would support a commercial operation. In 1940 we made a detailed magnetometer survey of the area. and the deposit was diamond-drilled. The main ore lied was found to be 1500 ft. long, to average 60 ft. thick, and to dip southeast at an angle of about 40 deg. The thickness of the bed is irregular in wavy folds both along the strike. and down the dip. Faults occur at both raids of the main deposit.

Bellows Connector Fabricated of chemically inert Teflon, the new bellows type connector has many pipe line applications where vibration, expansion and electrolysis exist in the handling of corrosive liquids or gases and solvents. The new connector is electrically non-conductive, flexible even at 94°F and as strong as 480°F as at 70°F, according to the manufacturer. This bellows connector serves as a [ ] vibration dampener as well as an expansion joint and connects misaligned couplings and insulates flanges electrically. End flanges of the joint are French-type envelope gaskets made integral with the joint for easy assembly between companion flanges and a tight, leak-proof seal on installation. Circle No. 1

A surface expansion was found to occur sometime after etching in Ti-A1 alloys containing 9.5 to 12.5 wt pct Al. The structure formed, grew, and disappeared with tzrrze. The surface expansion was followed by microscope observations and interferometric and lattice parameter measurements. Activation energy measurements for the growth of the "expansion structure" and chemical analysis indicated that the phenomenon occurred as a result of hydrogen pzckup during etching. It is proposed that hydrogen initially enters octahedral sites of Ti3Al coherent with a Ti and later shifts to the tetrahedral sites. It is postulated that expansion occurs when hydrogen enters the tetrahedral sites. The expansion structure disappeared, it is proposed, because of diffusion of hydrogen from the surface into the body of the alloy and because of loss of coherency of Ti3Al. In examining Ti-A1 alloys, Ence and arolinl observed markings on the surface of specimens. These markings did not appear after electropolishing only, but rather appeared only after etching. The markings appeared to grow as a function of time after etching and later seemed to disappear. Although the markings had some similarity to precipitates, showing, frequently, a Widmanstatten type of arrangement, the observation that other microstructural markings continue to be seen within the new structure suggested that it was actually not a precipitate. The source of this structure was unknown and an attempt was made in the present investigation to develop some understanding of its nature. It has been labeled expansion structure. 1) EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE A) Alloys. Alloys in the range 6.5 to 14.5 wt. pct A1 were studied. Bars, 4 in. sq, forged from Bureau of Mines (73 Bhn) titanium consumably arc-melted 4-lb ingots,' as well as 50-g arc-melted buttons of desired aluminum contents were used. The 50-g buttons also used Bureau of Mines titanium (73 Bhn) and aluminum of 99.99 pct purity. Buttons containing up to 8.5 wt pct A1 were hot-rolled from a furnace at 900' . Those with higher aluminum contents were hand-forged on a titanium anvil, and heated with an oxygen-hydrogen torch in the region of 1200" to 1300°c. Frequent reheating kept the samples at the desired temperature range. After a reduction of about 30 pct, the samples were water-quenched. To eliminate any contamination picked up either during hot rolling or forging, at least 1 mil of the surface of the sample was taken off. B) Heat Treatment. Prior to heat treatment all alloys were vacuum-annealed to remove hydrogen. Samples were annealed at 900' until a vacuum of 10'5 mm Hg was established. After this treatment, the samples were wrapped in molybdenum sheet and heat-treated in argon-filled quartz capsules, which were broken under water or iced brine at the conclusion of the heat treatment. All heat treatments under dynamic vacuum were performed in a rapid-quench furnace. This consisted of a molybdenum-lined quartz tube attached to a vacuum system and through a stopcock to a beaker of water. At the completion of the heat treatment the vacuum stopcock was closed, the furnace shut off, and dropped below the quartz tube. Then immediately the inlet stopcock was opened and water admitted until the tube was filled. The steam formed was allowed to escape through the inlet stopcock. This method was used in heat treatments up to llOO°C. C) Metallography. Specimens for metallographic examination were ground, then electropolished using a Disa Electropol machine with a perchloric acid electr01te. Specimens were etched with R-etch.3 A standard etching time of 3 min was used, with the specimen being agitated during immersion. D) Sample Preparation for X-ray Analysis. Samples 0.2 to 0.5 mm in diam were produced from heat-treated rods which were turned to 2 mm diam on a lathe and then rotation-etched. An etchant consisting of 1 pt HF, 7 pt HN03, and 12 pt HzO was satisfactory. With the rod rotating in a vertical position at 50 to 100 rpm, a needle with uniform dimensions could be obtained. Care had to be taken to insure that the rod was at the center of rotation, otherwise cavitation developed. If a small unevenness developed, it was possible to grind it off with a fine emery paper. E) X-ray Diffraction. All X-ray work was done on a North American Phillips X-ray diffraction apparatus and a Jarrell Ash microfocus X-ray unit. The Phillips unit was used with a copper target and nickel filter. The Jarrell Ash unit was fitted with a cobalt target and iron filter. For the Phillips unit 35 kva and 20 ma were used, whereas for the microfocus unit with the 100-p fixed-focus gun 40 kv and 1.5 ma were used. It was found that alignment of cameras on the Jarre11 Ash unit was very critical. The X-ray beam contains an intense area which is not the beam center. The cameras were aligned with the intense region by monitoring the beam coming out of the camera with a Geiger counter. Adjustments were made until a maximum intensity was obtained. A Phillips diffractometer with a Brown chart recorder furnished some of the lattice parameter data. The divergence slit up to 80 deg 28 was I deg; above 80 deg, a 4-deg opening was used, while the scatter slit was1 deg and the receiving slit had a 0.003-in. opening. The general scanning rate was 1 deg per min, while peaks of special interest were rescanned at -j deg per min. Dr. John Chipman, Professor of Metallurgy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and chairman of the A.I.M.E. Committee on Physical Chemistry of Steelmaking, presided. In opening the meeting, the chairman said: "The purpose of this round table is to discuss methods of study by which more and better information on the fundamentals of steelmaking can be obtained. It was thought that a round table discussion rather than a symposium would furnish the best opportunity for those actually using various methods of study to get together and discuss their common problems. For this reason attention will be focused upon methods of study rather than upon their results. We want new and current and up-to-date discussion.
