The Bureau of Mines studied alumina extraction from uncalcined, kao-linitic clay at temperatures from 1000 to 2500 C using 20-or 27-wt-pct-HCI concentrations and with an acid-to-clay ratio of from 0.8 to 1.4 times stoichiometric. Autogenous digestion pressures ranged from atmospheric pressure to about 900 psia. Extraction of 96 pct of the alumina was obtained by HCI leaching at temperatures and leaching times that varied from 1000 C for 120 h to 2000 C for 15 min. Hydrochloric acid stoichiometry of the reaction A1203'2Si02'2H20 + 6HCI + 2AICl3 + 2Si02 + 5H20 was studied at different temperatures and leaching times in a 750-mL tetrafluoroethylene-polymer-lined autoclave. A combination of high temperature and 20 wt pct excess HCI promoted rapid and almost quantitative extraction of alumina (99 pct in some tests). Additional Bureau data obtained with 35-mL tantalum bombs and leach-ing tests with added fluoride are also provided. At high temperatures, the addition of fluoride did not result in a significant improvement over HCI alone and was deleterious to the filtering properties of the digest residue.

This report describes coal-mining methods, power requirements, coal production and distribution, and coal resources of the Bull Mountain coal field in Musselshell and Yellowstone Counties, south-central Montana Investigations in the field, were conducted by Bureau of Mines engineers The report contains a short summary of the geology and geography of the field and discusses the following information secured during the field study: Method of mining practiced at each mine, including a description of each phase of the mining cycle. Coal produced and its distribution at each mine. Power requirements and the consumption of electricity per ton of coal produced by mines. Number of non employed by mines, and the production per man per shift underground and the over-all production per man employed. Estimates of future production and power requirements for the field as a whole. This information should be of benefit to any company or individual planning the development of now coal mines in the area or the expansion of present operations.

The exclusion of coal fly ash from regulation as a hazardous waste has led to increased interest in returning ash to the coalfields for co-disposal. A multi-year column study used coal refuse with high potential acidity (4% total-S), and two alkaline ashes in various bulk-blends. The unamended refuse acidified rapidly, producing acidic (pH 1.7) leachates, high in dissolved metals. Treatments blended with sufficiently high amounts (20 to 33%) of alkaline ash produced alkaline (PH >8.4) leachates with low metal levels, while lower ash blending rates acidified over time to produce metalliferous leachates. Examination of solid materials indicated that pyrite oxidation was occurring to some extent in all treatments. A regression equation (r = 0.95) was developed to estimate time to net acid release for mixtures of these materials. Ash alkalinity and refuse potential acidity must be balanced to insure water quality for co-disposal environments, or the ash materials should be isolated away from acidic drainage waters.

Electrical conductivities and densities of the LiF- UF , LiF- ThF4 , NaF - C1F4 , and NaF - ThF systems were measured as functions of composition and temperature . The specific conductance and density varied linearly with temperature . Molar and equivalent volumes , as well as heats of activation for conductance , were calculated from the experimental data . At 1,000 ° C , the molar volumes ranged from 16 to 40 cubic centimeters per mole and the specific conductance ranged from 9.8 to 2.5 per ohm- centimeter as the actinide metal fluoride concentration changed from 0 to 60 mole - percent . Heats of activation for conductance were 3 to 7 kcal per mole . The data are interpreted on the basis of a semilattice model for the melts .

A process for simultaneously reducing and indurating iron are pellets was developed by Bureau of Mines laboratory research and confirmed on a continuous pilot plant basis. Moist iron are concentrate was balled, mixed with solid reductant, and heated at about 1,100° to 1,150° C. On a small scale, a variety of concentrates and fuels were utilized successfully. The pilot rotary kiln tests were limited to natural magnetite, synthetic magnetite, lignite, and anthracite. In both cases, partially reduced pellets with excellent physical properties were regularly produced with average analyses of at least 80 percent total iron and 60 percent or more metallic iron. These and other prereduced pellets were smelted in the Bureau's experimental blast furnace facility, Bruceton, Pa. With prereduced spheres comprising 85 percent of the burden, the coke rate was approximately half that with standard oxide pellets and production of hot metal was increased by 75 percent. Economic appraisal of the cost of making hot metal indicates that reduced pellets could be more profitable than any other iron raw material in both investment capital and daily cost of operation.

The Gympie Goldfield was the sixth largest producer of gold in historic terms in Australia. The Joint Venture Agreement between BHP Gold Mines Limited and Devex Limited was signed in January 1987. Since that time, some $20 million have been spent on underground and surface exploration work in the southern portion of the goldfield. The project is of considerable interest as the dewatering, rehabilitation and equipping of an old rectangular timber-lined shaft has been undertaken. The project is located in Gympie, a city of 10,000 people. The issues of dealing with urbanisation and associated environmental aspects are vital to the success of the project. An outline of the project and the geology of the mineralised structures follows:

Neste trabalho foi estudado o efeito da variação da densidade de corrente, temperatura e pH do banho eletrolítico na eletrodeposição da liga Ni-Mo-P utilizando citrato de sódio como agente complexante em função do comportamento anticorrosivo da mesma, da composição química e morfologia dos revestimentos. A caracterização das camadas foi feita por microscopia eletrônica de varredura (MEV) e energia dispersiva de raios-X (EDX). Os ensaios de corrosão foram realizados à temperatura ambiente em NaCl 0,1 M por polarização potenciodiâmica linear (PPL). Como ferramenta de otimização foi utilizado um planejamento fatorial completo 23 associado a metodologia da superfície de resposta (MSR). As propriedades de corrosão e composição química dos revestimentos de Ni-Mo-P obtidos mostraram ser dependentes da densidade de corrente, temperatura e pH do banho eletrolítico. A ausência de trincas foi verificada para revesimentos com baixo conteúdo de molibdênio e mostrou ser necessário para obtenção de eletrodepósitos com boas propriedades de resistência à corrosão. Os resultados revelaram que o revestimento que apresentou melhor resistência à corrosão foi obtido em densidade de corrente 100 mA cm-2, temperatura de 40°C e pH 9,0 com composição de 87 wt.% Ni, 6 wt.% Mo e 7 wt.% P e sua superfice exibiu morfologia nodular.

Using the maximum bubble pressure technique, the densities of iron silicates at 1410°C have been measured blowing helium, nitrogen, and argon. By ensuring equilibrium between the melt and the blowing gas with respect to oxygen potential and by minimizing tempcrature cycling of the furnace, iron precipitation in the melt has been prevented. Thus the previously reported effect of blowing-gas composition on the densities of the melts has been eliminated. Consideration of the oxygen densities of the melts gives an indication of the structural changes accompanying composition change. The density-composition relationship of iron oxide-silica melts in contact with solid iron has been the subject of several investigations1-7 and considerable disparities exist among the various results obtained. Of these investigations, all except one5 have employed the maximum bubble pressure method. In the most recently reported of these investigations1 the density-composition relationship obtained blowing nitrogen differed from that obtained blowing argon. The measured densities obtained under nitrogen were greater than those obtained under argon, the difference being a maximum at the pure liquid iron oxide composition and decreasing with increasing silica content. This observation rationalized the disparities existing among the results of the earlier investigations, showing that two lines, one for nitrogen and the other for argon, could be drawn to fit all the earlier results. No explanation for this phenomenon could be offered. Chemical analysis of rapidly quenched samples of melt for dissolved nitrogen, and direct weighing measurements, excluded solution of nitrogen in the melt from being the cause of the increase in density. The range of blowing gases was extended by Ward and Hendersons who measured the density of liquid iron oxide bubbling helium, nitrogen, neon, argon, and krypton. The measured density was found to decrease smoothly with increasing atomic number of the bubbling gas. The work reported here is a continuation of the program initiated by Ward and Sachdev7 to study the densities in multicomponent melts in which the iron oxide-silica system is the solvent. As such it is necessary to explain or eliminate the anomalous densities of iron silicates under different atmospheres, and the present rede termination was carried out towards this end. EXPERIMENTAL The maximum bubble pressure method of density determination was again employed and the experimen- tal apparatus used was essentially the same as that used by Ward and Sachdev.7 A molybdenum-wound resistance furnace heated an ingot iron crucible of internal diameter 1 in. containing a 2-in. depth of melt. The bubbling gas was blown through a 1/4 -in.-diam mild steel tube onto the end of which was welded a 2-in. extension of 1/4 -in.-diam ingot iron rod, drilled out to 5/32 in., and chamfered to an angle of 45 deg. The blowing tube was introduced to the furnace through a sliding seal and its position was controlled by a vertically mounted micrometer screw which allowed the depth of immersion to be determined with an accuracy of ± 0.01 cm. A Pt/Pt-10 pct Rh thermocouple was located below the crucible and temperature control was effected initially by means of an on-off controller and later by a saturable core reactor. The bubble pressure was determined by measurement of a dibutyl phthalate manometer using a cathetometer. PREPARATION OF MATERIALS Iron oxide was produced by melting ferric oxide in an inductively heated iron crucible in air. The liquid was quenched by pouring onto an iron plate. Silica was prepared by dehydrating silicic acid at 650°C for 12 hr. RESULTS Before any measurements of the density of a melt were made, the density of distilled water at room temperature was measured bubbling helium and argon. Both gases gave the density as 1.00 ± 0.01 g per cu cm which showed that the density of the manometric fluid (dibutyl phthalate) was not affected by contact with the blowing gas. With the furnace controlled by an on-off temperature controller an attempt was made to measure the density of pure liquid iron oxide by bubbling argon. The furnace atmosphere gas and bubbling gas were dried over magnesium perchlorate and deoxidized over copper turnings at 600°C. It was found that the pressure required to blow a bubble at a given depth increased slowly with time, and thus it was impossible to obtain a unique value for the density of the melt. Inspection of the blowing tube after removal from the furnace showed that rings of dendritic iron had precipitated from the melt onto the immersed part of the tube. This is shown in Fig. l(a) where the various "steps" correspond to different depths of immersion. The precipitation of iron was considered to be due to one or both of two possible causes: i) The composition of the liquid iron oxide is that of the liquidus at the temperature under consideration and can be expressed by the equilibrium

THIS PAPER gives results of an investigation of the composition and carbonizing properties of coals from the Beckley bed, Caretta No. 5 mine, Susanna, McDowell County, and Glen Rogers No. 2 mine, Glen Rogers, Wyoming County, W. Va. The investigation included BM-AGA carbonization tests at. 800° and 900° C. and various chemical and physical tests designed to evaluate agglutinating, plastic, and expanding properties of coal. Both coals were of low-volatile bituminous rank, and each was blended with 70 and 80 percent high-volatile A coal from the Pittsburgh bed, Warden mine, Allegheny County, Pa. The Beckley bed was 39 to 58 inches thick at three points in the Caretta No. 5 mine, and the coal was 39 to 49 inches thick. The carbonizing sample contained 83.0 percent fixed carbon on the dry, mineral-matter-free basis. It contained 3.1 percent moisture, 15.8 percent volatile matter, 72.4 percent fixed carbon, 0.7 percent sulfur, and 8.7 percent ash, as carbonized. The ash softened at 2,680° F. The free-swelling index was 7;i, and the agglutinating value was 7.7. This sample fused weakly in the Gieseler plastometer; its blends with 70 and 80 percent Pittsburgh coal attained maximum fluidities of 830 and 600 dial divisions per minute, respectively. The single coal yielded 83.0 percent coke at 900° C. Yields of other carbonization products per ton of coal at 900° C. were: Gas, 9,950 cubic feet; tar, 3.5 gallons; light oil, 1.36 gallons; and ammonium sulfate, 16.3 pounds. Blending with Pittsburgh coal lowered the yield of coke and raised the yields of other products significantly. Caretta coal yielded strong, blocky coke at 900° C., 89 percent of which was plus-2-inch size. Strength indexes of 900° C. coke from 30:70 blends of Caretta No. 5 and Pittsburgh and of Pocahontas No. 3 and Pittsburgh coals were, respectively: 2-inch shatter, 68 and 53; 1%-inch shatter, 90 and 85; 1-inch tumbler, 50 and 53; and %-inch tumbler, 62 and 65. The specific gravity of the 900° C. gas from Caretta No. 5 coal was 0.272, and the heating values were 491 B. t. u. per cubic foot and 2,440 B. t. u. per pound of coal. The blends yielded much richer gas. Yields of tar acids and bases (0.09 and 0.04 gallon per ton, respectively) were within the normal ranges for low-volatile coals. Caretta No. 5 coal expanded 7.5 percent in the sole-heated oven at a charge density of 55.5 pounds per cubic foot. The blends containing 70 and 80 percent Pittsburgh coal contracted 4.8 and 7.5 percent, respectively.

Heat content values were experimentally determined for yttrium metal between temperatures of 400° and 1,300° K and for iron pentacarbonyl between 301° and 380° K. The drop technique was used; that is, a sample of material sealed in a protective capsule was heated to 3 desired temperature in a furnace and then dropped into an ice calorimeter. A revised technique for determining heat content values from calorimetric data is described. Heat content and corresponding entropy-increment data above a reference temperature of 298.15° K are presented in tabular form. Equations for heat content and heat capacity as functions of temperature were derived for each substance. The normal spectral emissivities of liquid Ti, V, Zr, Mo, and Pt were determined at the fusion temperatures in an electron-beam furnace using a water-cooled copper hearth. The normal spectral emissivities were estimated above the melting points by using adjusted two-color temperatures as approximations of the true temperatures for substitution in Wien's equation. Simultaneous brightness temperatures were determined with a micro-optical pyrometer. The true temperature ranges covered were 1,668° to 1,885° C for Ti; 1,919° to 2,013° C for V; 1,855° to 2,367° C for Zr; 2,610° to 2,751° C for Mo, and 1,772° to 1,990° C for Pt. The spectral emissivities for titanium and zirconium decreased with increasing temperature. At an effective wavelength (?) of 658 mµ the emissivity of titanium ranged from 0.51 to 0.45 and zirconium, from 0.47 to 0.41. The emissivities of vanadium (? = 658 mµ) and molybdenum (? = 657 mµ) were constant at 0.41±0.02 and 0.33±0.01, respectively. The spectral emissivity of platinum (? = 658 mµ) was constant at 0.39±0.02 up to 1,900° C; above that temperature anomalous data were obtained. A mass spectrometric study indicated that platinum was reacting with back-streaming silicon vapors from the diffusion pump when the ambient pressure was greater than 2 X 10-5 torr.

The Bureau of Mines has engaged m a program to determine the availability of land for mineral exploration and development in Alaska. Land availability, based on ownership and Federal and State laws and policies, is compared with mineral terranes and mineral deposits. This is the fifth of six regional studies, which cover the State with a comprehensive set of maps and data compilations. This study covers an area of 112.3 million acres in western Alaska. In July 1986, 41.0 million acres, 37% of the study area, were available for mineral exploration and development; 14.6 million acres, 13%, were available with restrictions; and 56.7 million acres, 50%, were unavailable. Nearly 65% of the unavailable land is classified as national parks, preserves, wildlife refuges, and wild and scenic rivers. Of the 34.0 million acres of mineral terranes that underlie the study area, 12.9 million acres, 38%, are available for exploration and development; 3.6 million acres, 11%, are available with restrictions; and 17.5 million acres, 51%, are unavailable.

Introduction Potential applications that exploit the electrical properties of coal measure rocks include: (1) radar sensing of coal face, floor, and roof for automated mining operations; (2) underground wireless communications; and (3) sensing extent of subsidence, blasting operations, coal gasification bums, and moisture migrations. Impediments to exploitation of electrical properties include: (1) a lack of reliable electrical properties data for in situ conditions and (2) a lack of correlation data between electrical properties and other relevant physical properties. In this paper data are presented for electrical conductivity and permittivity for Appalachian and Illinois shales for a frequency range 2 x 10 to 2 x 10 Hz. These data are useful in establishing in situ electrical property variability, lower limits, and anisotropy. Electrical proper¬ties measurement and values for other coal measure rocks are discussed as well. Laboratory measurement For the frequency range investigated, a capacitance bridge and Q-meter were employed. These instruments are designed to yield bulk values of permittivity and conductivity. Disk samples of thickness 0.396 cm (0.156 in.) and diameter 2.54 cm (1 in.) were machined from cores obtained from the two coal basins. While both the capacitance bridge and the Q-meter must be balanced manually, the bridge has an analog-to-digital interface and an attached computer specifically designed to expedite data collection and interpretation. Sample holders are critical components in the measurement process. A Hartshom-Ward holder was employed with the bridge and a Marconi micrometer jig was used with the Q-meter. Neither commercial sample holder was designed to regulate ambient humidity conditions. Because water adsorbed on sample faces may cause errors approaching 100%, special enclosures were designed for both holders. Each enclosure contains a flush-mounted externally-manipulable carousel, an externally-manipulable rigid arm that can accomodate translational motion and three-dimensional rotation, a compartment for humidity regulating solids or liquids, and a humidity sensor. Each enclosure will accomodate several samples that can be manipulated within the enclosure without opening it. Experience gained during this research demonstrated that humidity regulation was necessary to obtain repeatable results. Grinding and polishing shale to a very thin thickness (about 0.4 mm) was shown to cause changes in electrical properties as well. These latter changes were attributed to alterations in the water content. Theoretical considerations A very comprehensive discussion of the electrical properties of sedimentary rocks is available in literature (Sen and Chew, 1983). These authors reviewed the work of others and proposed modifications to better explain the frequency dependent behavior of the permittivity and conductivity of rocks. A large portion of their article was devoted to explanations of large relative permittivities at low frequencies such as observed in this research. They noted that the electrical properties of formations containing shales and clays are the most difficult to explain. Sen and Chew noted the need for additional experimental data and further refinements in theory. Results Shales, limestones, and sandstones were examined for a single 150-m (492-ft) core from Pennsylvania and for a dark shale from a southern Illinois coal mine. Globally, the demand for mineral products is ever increasing. Extraction of these mineral resources results in the continuous production of a huge volume of waste material, including tailing dumps. The mass of tailings usually exceeds the actual resource and often contains hazardous contaminants. This study investigated the effects of tailings disposal on soil, water, and air quality in the Nampundwe area. Water, soil, and dust samples were collected from different locations in the surrounding communities. The constituents analysed in the samples included copper, cobalt, iron, sulfate, and silica. According to the results obtained, some seepages occurred from the tailings impoundment to the shallow aquifer in the area. However, the general water quality meets the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) statutory limits. Recorded concentrations of sulfate (1500 mg/l), copper (1.5 mg/l), cobalt (1.0 mg/l), iron (2.0 mg/l), and silica were between 0.003 mg/l and 705 mg/l, which is far below ZEMA’s statutory limit. Silica concentration was also evident in the air. The highest concentration recorded was 260 ppcc (particle per cubic centimeter) recorded in July 2019 from the northern direction of the tailings dam. The concentration was below the statutory limit of 350 ppcc. The topsoil from the northern part of the tailings recorded a silica dust concentration of 39.9 ppcc. Iron was evident in the underground soil with a concentration of 8.01 ppcc, cobalt 0.005 ppcc, copper 0.051 ppcc, while sulfate was recorded as 0.41 ppcc.

Coal properties that are associated with wear and damage of grinding equipment during pulverization prior to combustion were investigated. A South African Highveld feed coal and its beneficiated fractions were crushed to <1 >0.25 mm particles for the grindability tests. These particles were milled and screened into <75 μm and >75 μm fractions, which were analysed by different techniques to establish a correlation with the conventional Hardgrove Grindability Index (HGI). The <1.5 g.cm-3 float fraction, which contained 93 vol.% (mineral matter free) total -macerals,9% kaolinite, and had the lowest HGI (57) (hardest to grind) was pulverized for 15, 30, 60, and 120 minutes for particle size distribution analysis. This analysis indicated that the content of <75 μm particles increases with increased grinding time. The >1.9 g.cm-3 sink fraction, with the highest HGI (76), 44% kaolinite, and 20 vol.% total macerals, was ground easily to generate the highest proportion of <75 μm particles. Based on higher correlation coefficients (R2 = 0.77–0.91), the ash yield, mineral matter, petrographic composition, and fixed-carbon have significant effects on the HGI. Conversely, the inherent moisture and total sulphur (R2 = 0.48–0.62) have only minor effects on the HGI. Results from this investigation could be implemented in the preparation of a suitable pulverized fuel with little equipment wear, as well as utilizing mineralogical and petrographic compositions. Finally, the effect of microlithotypes and maceral types in South African feed coals on the HGI should be investigated in further pulverization and grindability studies.

The relationship between crystalline texture and magnetic anisotropy in a Co-10 pct Fe alloy has been investigated by means of X-ray pole .figures, hysteresis-loop tracings, and magnetic-torque measurements. The cold-rolled texture of a sample after 95 pct thickness reduction is of the "brass-type", that is, (110)[112/. At 500°C the cold-rolled material recrystallizes fo a (311)[112] orientation, plus a minor (210) [001] component. This texture persists up to 1400°C, at which point it is replaced by a secondary recrystallization texture, (111)[112]. Magnetic-torque measurements show that the easy axis of magnetization lies along the transverse direction in the cold-rolled material and changes to the rolling direction after primary recrystallization. This change is also reflected in the hysteresis characteristic; whereas the B-H loop along the rolling direction is nonsqunre with a low value of residual induction (750 vs 19,000 gauss at saturation) for the cold-rolled material, the annealed sample exhibits a very square loop with a large value of residual induction (16,000 gauss). Theoretical torque curves calculated from the texture data on the basis of magnetocystalline anisotropy energy compare favorably with the observed torque curves. Values of the crystal anisotropy constant, K1, obbained from these comparisons are in good quantitative agreement with single-crystal data. Furthermore, both the torque amplitude of the poly crystalline material and the magnitude of K1 obtained with a single crystal show an identical temperature dependence over the range from —195° 10 +220°C. It is thus conclzided that the magnetocrystalline anisotrpopy erlergy is chiefly I-esponsible. for the nzagnetic allisotropy of textured Co-10 pct Fe alloy. THE results of a study on the relationship between crystalline texture and magnetic anisotropy of an alloy containing 90 pct Co and 10 pct Fe by weight are reported in this paper. The alloy has an fcc structure: a saturation magnetization of about 19,000 gauss,2 and a nearly zero value of magnetoatriction.3 puzey4 has reported a large crystalline anisotropy constant of -7.4 X 105 ergs per cu cm, indicating the (111) directions as the easy axes of magnetization. Hence, texture variations resulting from cold work and annealing are expected to introduce a magnetic anisotropy in the polycrystalline material through the alignment of these (111) easy directions. In the present study, magnetic anisotropy of both rolled and annealed strips was determined by magnetic-torque measurements and hysteresis-loop tracings The results were correlated quantitatively with calculations based on texture data obtained by the X-ray pole-figure technique. It is established that the magnetocrystalline anisotropy energy is indeed chiefly responsible for the magnetic anisotropy of textured Co-10 pct Fe alloy. EXPERIMENTAL Material Preparation. The alloy nominally contained 90 pct Co, 9.5 pct Fe, and 0.5 pct Mn by weight, the chief impurities being nickel, carbon, and silicon (less than 0.5 pct total). The cast ingot was rolled to strips 10 mils thick and slit to 1 in. in width. After strand annealing at 900°C in a hydrogen atmosphere, these strips were further cold-rolled to various thicknesses down to 0.25 mil (97.5 pct reduction), with samples collected for study of the development of texture and magnetic anisotropy as a function of thickness reduction. subsequently, samples cold-rolled from 100 mils to 0.25 mil were obtained, thus extending the thickness reduction range to 99.75 pct. The Howe Coal Co. is mining the Oklahoma Lower Hartshorne bed which ranges in seam thickness from 38 to 42 in. and pitches approximately 7° to the northeast. The raw feed to the cleaning plant averages about 20% ash and 1.10% sulfur, being reduced in the cleaning process to 4.8% ash and 0.9% sulfur with a free swelling index of 8 or 8%. This coal rivals the Pocohantas seam in chemistry and coking characteristics but has better fluidity than the Pocohantas seam coal. The coal is presently being prepared for the Japanese steel market in an 85-tph pilot plant designed and constructed by Roberts & Schaefer. The cleaning-plant flowsheet is discussed in detail.

Intergrated energy balances and energy flows were constructed and quantified for State, regional, and national levels from four separate supply and demand commodity balances for coal, dry natural gas, petroleum and natural gas liquids, and utility electricity. These commodity balances were integrated by source and sectors through conversion and aggregation of their components to energy equivalents expressed in British thermal units (Btu). A summarization of the total gross energy components of supply and demand for commercial energy derived from direct fuels, hydropower and nuclear power, based on individual States and regions, is tabulated for 1960 and 1965. Pertinent computerization details and more than 500 individual State and regional printout tables, in both original commodity units and Btu&apos;s, are shown. Using these data, energy flows between States and regions were calculated to identify surplus and deficit energy areas. Report emphasis is on the conceptual aspects of integrated energy balances, rather than on the development of missing State energy data.
