Investigations into the effect of a variety of acid digestions on common rock-forming minerals demonstrated a considerable variation in the proportion of the total metal extracted. A similar situation applies to the analysis of a number of common rock types. In addition, grain-size variation has an effect on the amount extracted by certain digestions. This work indicates that considerable care needs to be given to selecting an appropriate acid digestion capable of determining metal held in particular components of a sample. By using partial extraction techniques, the identification of certain patterns of metal distribution, undetectable by normal methods involving total metal analysis, may be achieved.

"Data handling is an important step in the development of a simulator of a mineral processing circuit. The model requires representative data of the scenario to be modeled. The model development involves protocols that must be followed very closely to complete a successful project.Data handling of large and diverse datasets (metallurgical test results, geological data, mining models, historical data, etc.) is a key element of the model. The information needs to be processed, reconciled, interpreted, modeled and presented to support the design or the optimization of a mineral processing plant.Best practice recommends that teams from different disciplines (such as mining, metallurgy, geology and environmental) interact to define the most important variables that could influence the simulator. For example by adopting a geometallurgical approach in the earlier stages of the project, it is possible to consolidate the number of main ore rock types in a testwork program (saving money and time) by involving geologists and metallurgists in the sample selection and data interpretation.Planning the development of a model involves an understanding of the software capabilities but also the limitations and the magnitude of the data required to calibrate the model in case of changes in the project.A successful model requires a deep understanding of the circuit to be modeled and thus plant personnel should be considered as members of the team.This paper describes the use of the "state of the art" tools for data analysis, simulation and optimization; and shows three practical examples of the use those tools in the design of mineral processing plants."

The characteristics of air bubbles and gas dispersion in KYF flotation cell are studied using the method of the point conductivity probe and CFD simulation. With increasing of speed, the velocities of air bubbles increase slowly and the distribution of diameters exhibits little change. With increasing of aeration rate, the gas holdup is increased. However, the velocities and diameters of bubbles have no great change. The CFD predictions on gas holdup have good agreement with the experiment results. The gas holdup distribution in the center section is revealed. The gas dispersion in the middle and upper part of flotation cell is uniform. It would be helpful for bubbles and solid particles collision. The gas holdup of the lower part of flotation cell is scarce, and it agrees with the observation in experiment. The gas would accumulate at the suction side of impeller blades, and it would decrease the power consumption. The rotating speed and aeration rate have great effect on gas dispersion. With increasing of aeration rate, the gas holdup of flotation cell will increase. The increasing of speed would improve gas dispersion. The results are expected to help to optimize the performances of KYF flotation cell.

"Mining has been a staple to technological advancement ever since the dawn of time. By harnessing the different physical and chemical properties that each mining commodity brings to the table, more and more innovation is developed and manufactured. As these non-renewable resources continue to be extracted, the industry as a whole faces a challenge in finding the next economical deposit as well as declining grade at the current operations. By means of pre-concentration, ore sorting aims to separate the barren material from the valuable ore to reduce energy consumption and tailings generation, while increasing the feed grade, concentrate grade, mill recovery, and revenue. In addition, ore sorting allows the modification of deposit geometallurgy in order to allow the creation of an optimal mill feed. This paper evaluates the applicability and challenges of ore sorting by utilizing the results from four different mines, and reviews them in detail. The mines include one underground and three open pit mines that are precious metal operations. In order to understand the applicability of ore sorting in these operations, initial rock-by-rock test results and different types of assays (atomic adsorption [AA], inductively coupled plasma [ICP], and fire assay) are utilized. Using the assay results, the grade recovery curves for ore sorting are generated and they are further improved by using and developing an ore sorting algorithm, which is discussed in this paper. The application and evaluation of ore sorting in greenfield and brownfield properties will also be discussed. The state of the art ore sorting technologies for both rock-by-rock and bulk sorting are also reviewed in this paper. The future technologies on the horizon, including different combinations of sensors, are explained. The sorting technologies include X-ray transmission (XRT), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), colour, infrared, electromagnetic, and laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)."

"The application of oxygen-enriched cyanidation to three Canadian gold ore samples has been investigated. The results showed that the use of oxygen can improve gold dissolution kinetics, reduce grinding time, and lower cyanide and lime consumptions. To obtain the same gold extraction, the required cyanide leaching time was reduced from 48 hours in slurry containing 8 ppm O2 to 12 - 24 hours in 20 ppm O2 slurry. Reagent consumptions were reduced by 23 - 37% for cyanide and by 35 - 54% for lime. There was little advantage to further increasing the dissolved oxygen to 32 ppm from 20 ppm. Gold extraction from the +200 mesh fraction improved 4 - 14% in oxygen-enriched slurry. A general kinetic model derived from the cyanidation of three ore samples can be described by the following equation: <equation>where E is the gold extraction (%) at time t (hours), EI is the ultimate gold extraction (%) , and &apos;P and k are constants depending on cyanide concentration, level of dissolved oxygen, and the characteristics of the ore samples. Comparative studies of conventional carbon adsorption and carbon adsorption in oxygen-enriched slurry have also demonstrated that oxygen enrichment resulted in more favourable conditions for gold adsorption."

"Strain rate and temperature dependent deformation conditions are present during elevated temperature forming of aluminum and other metallic materials. While many constitutive laws have been proposed to represent such deformation conditions, a closer investigation often reveals their limited applicability in terms of fit to the experimental data, and interpolation within and extrapolation outside of the range of experimental stress-strain curves. This is often because material-specific primary deformation mechanisms of temperature-dependent strain and strain rate hardening are poorly captured. In the present work, the Voce-Kocks constitutive model based on mechanics of dislocations storage and annihilation has been found to be suitable for many metallic materials. The model was modified to include the effect of temperature dependent shear modulus. The modified model is then employed to represent the experimental data obtained from uniaxial tensile tests on AA7075-O sheet at elevated temperatures and strain rates. Also, hot gas bulging tests were conducted to verify the applicability of this model. Further, finite element simulation of the hot gas bulge test was performed by incorporating the model as a user material subroutine. Good general agreement was observed between the experimental and FE model predicted results. Some sources of discrepancy in the prediction are also discussed.INTRODUCTION There has been much interest in light-weighting of automobiles from automotive related industries to reduce overall carbon footprint and increase energy efficiency of the vehicles. Aluminum alloys, and especially the medium-strength 5xxx and 6xxx series alloys, have been the primary focus in the last 3 decades to reach the above environmental goals (Huo, Hou, Zhang, & Zhang, 2016) whereas aerospace industry has traditionally focused on high strength 7xxx series aluminum (Al-Zn-Mg-Cu) alloys for structural components (Deng, Yin, & Huang, 2011). Recently, there has been much interest in high strength 7xxx series aluminum as a replacement for heavier steel automotive structural parts such as A-pillar, B-pillar, side impact beams etc. (Harrison & Luckey, 2014). This is both interesting and challenging since the above aluminum structural parts will need to not only meet impact safety standards but also possess sufficient formability for manufacturing such complex parts. Since the formability of high strength 7xxx series materials is quite poor at room temperature, much interest has focused on improving both formability and final part strength via high rate hot stamping, in-die quenching, and subsequent artificial ageing process steps (Kumar & Ross, 2016)."

"Cobalt based super alloy stellite 6 was weld cladded on AISI 304 L stainless steel using SMAW process in order to improve the wear resistance for tyre crusher blades. Microstructure characterization and micro hardness testing was performed on stellite 6 cladding. The suitable parameters viz. 80 Amp current with arc weaving technique was selected by performing bead on plate experiment were further used for depositing multipass multilayer cladding to achieve full filler chemistry at the top surface. Further GTAW process was used for re-melting the top surface of the cladding. Comparative evaluation of the claddings showed that TIG re-melting resulted in increased microhardness and wear resistance in comparison to as cladded specimens even with lesser deposition of material. It was observed that TIG re-melting improved the hardness from 603 HV0.5 kg to 712 HV0.5 kg. Micro structures of stellite 6 contained cobalt solid solution matrix along with inter dendrite chromium carbides which resulted in the increased micro hardness values. Pin on disc abrasion tests were carried out at room temperature and the worn out surfaces were characterized using SEM and EDS.INTRODUCTIONThe crusher blades are used in many industries for crushing various types of material and its wider applications in tyre rubber crushing mills, metal-powder crushers industries etc. Most of the crusher blades are damaged by the wear and impact loading conditions. It is because of metal to metal abrasion and the temperature also plays a vital role in blunting the cutting edges of these blades. The wear is the major cause which leads to loss of material and thus the productivity that can never be recovered (Kotechi et al., 1992). The wear can be reduced by coating of various super alloys which could reduce the behavior of metal degradation even in aggressive environments. Cladding of cheaper low alloyed material with expensive superalloys to enhance the performance of components at low cost has been investigated by many scholars (Deng et al., 2010, Kennametal, 2007, Lolla et al., 2014, Singhet al., 2014, J.N et al., 2003, Ramkumar et al., 2012). Many researchers have reported that cladding is an application of build-up deposits of specialized alloys to resist abrasion, high temperature corrosion and impact loadings. Cladding is used for providing required mechanical strength properties as well as inhibition of oxidation and other corrosive degradation. Coatings are used to protect the heat affected areas like tubes of fluidized bed combustor etc. (Kirchbner et al., 2008, Wang et al., 1994, Hocking et al., 1993, Ananthapadmanabhan et al., 1991, Staia et al., 2001). Coating techniques are widely used for the protection of turbine engine and boiler tubes against high temperature corrosion attack, power generation equipment, chemical process equipment, aircraft engines, pulp and paper processing equipment, bridges, rollers and concrete reinforcements, orthopedics and dental, land-based and marine turbines, ships. Coatings of stellite 6 are widely used in steam turbine blades and boiler tubes for power generation because of an excellent combination of impact, wear and other properties. It can maintain its properties even at high temperature and in harsh environments (Kobayashiet al., 1999, Alam et al., 2009, Munehru et al., 2009). The loading and unloading conditions experienced by the material may induce the surface cracks which lead to its breakage and leaving large pits in the surface (Meng et al., 1995). In open pit mining, each small mining unit (SMU) is selected for mill processing based on an estimate of its true grade. The estimation is usually done using analyses of cuttings from blast holes within that SMU. One common estimator used for selection is the arithmetic average of within-SMU samples. This estimator is conditionally biased. The effect of a conditional bias is to overestimate the profit really recovered from the deposit. For this reason, a conditionally unbiased estimator is preferable. Increasing the number of samples generally improves the accuracy of the estimation (and diminishes the conditional bias, if present, of most estimators). However, there exists a practical limit where an additional sample does not improve the estimation sufficiently to cover the expense of making the analysis. This limit is specific to each deposit and depends on geostatistical parameters, economic factors, and mining parameters. This study examines how the number of samples affects the recovered reserves and the resulting profit. Also, the effects on optimal profit of varying the different factors are examined. Globally, the number of samples required increases with the selectivity of the operation. For a given ore deposit, the greater the number of SMUs selected for processing, the fewer samples are required and vice-versa.

Extraction by organic solvents is a chemical process in which metal species in the aqueous phase react with an organic reagent to form an organometallic com- plex, thus, the metal species leave the aqueous phase and enter the organic phase from which it can be stripped back in the aqueous phase to obtain a pure and a concentrated solution. The metal in the organic phase is not bound to carbon atoms as in organometallic compounds but to oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur, or hydrogen by a co-ordination (dative) bond (Habashi, 1999).Solvent extraction was used for the first time in hydrometallurgy in connec- tion with the special and urgent materials requirements of nuclear energy during World War II. A plant was constructed in the United States for the preparation of high-purity uranyl nitrate solution. In this plant, the yellow cake (a high-grade sodium or ammonium uranate) was dis- solved in HNO,, and uranium was selec- tively extracted by ether then stripped by water to give a concentrated solution of pure uranyl nitrate. This was gradually followed by developing methods for other high-priced metals such as plutonium, thorium, niobium, tantalum, zirconium, hafnium, boron, beryllium, and molybde num. The second step took place in the 1960s when solvent extraction was applied for the first time to extract a rela- tively cheap metal-copper. Mining companies normally establish exploration and research programs originated with actions in embryonic stage. At their early stages of development, these exploration and technological activities are subject to uncertainties that need, first, to be resolved, deciphered or, at least, mitigated for information reporting; and later, for valuation reporting. Under these circumstances, these exploration activities follow a sequence of development phases that range from exploration work to the profile, conceptual, and finally to basic engineering phases and construction. For information reporting, the International Template for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves integrates the minimum standards being adopted by the relevant professional bodies in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Chile, USA, UK, Ireland, and other European countries which set up the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO, www.crirsco.com). These standards are based on the progressive collection of relevant information to reduce present and future uncertainties over time under a context of transparency, materiality, and technical competence. For valuation reporting several procedures have been disclosed and applied. However, in the last decades financial instruments such as real options, decision analysis, and games theory have developed into a niche of great potential for mine valuation applications. The objective of this paper is to provide a summary of the information reporting standards prepared by the Chilean National Commission for the Qualification of Competent Persons in Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves and show a procedure and an application of real options to the valuation of the sequential development phases of a mine asset from the exploration stage through up to full development.

"Queen’s UniversityIn representative, run-of-mine samples from the Panel and New Quirke mines of the Elliot Lake uranium district, Ontario, brannerite, ametamict uranous titanate, occurs in microscopic grain-aggregates which display wide variations, both in textural habit and in the relative proportions of brannerite, titania polymorphs and/or “uraniferous titania”. As is widely documented, much of the brannerite occurs as trellis-like arrays of laths and needles pseudomorphing rutile oranatase. In some cases, the laths and needles are cemented by coffinite. Brannerite, with an average composition of (U0.629Th0.039Ca0.20)(Ti2.199Fe0.13)O69contains =3 wt% Th and is distinctly Ti-rich relative to the ideal composition, UTi2O6. Much of the Si reporting consistently in electron microprobe analyses (between 1 wt%and 5 wt%) is tentatively attributed to contamination by the quartz-sericite matrix, and a minor proportion is attributed to the presence of coffinite intergrowths. “Uraniferous titania” (average par-tial composition by weight: 10.8% U, 0.3% Th,32.9% Ti) is considered to represent an intermediate stage in the conversion of titania to brannerite.The leaching behaviour of brannerite in its different modes of occurrence was studied qualitatively by the rotating-disc (polished section) method in H2SO4and HCl solutions at 25° to70°C. Redox potential was not measured. The progress of the dissolution of the individual brannerite crystallites and grain-aggregates was monitored by optical and scanning electron microscopes. Regardless of its morphology and texture (laths or needles, reticulate or blocky),brannerite is not readily leachable. Regardless of the process conditions, the rate-controlling step appears to be the initial leach-pit formation. These pits expand radially through the aggregate as leaching proceeds. This dissolution mode is independent of the relative amounts of brannerite and titania, i.e. the type of grain-aggregate. Secondary coffinite intergrowths are readily leachable and enhance the overall leaching kinetics of brannerite by accelerating leach-pit formation. These data provide, for the first time, information on the controls on the leaching of the uraniferous phases which dominate the lower-grade ores in the Elliot Lake district."

SIGMA MINES is situated in the township of Bourlamaque, Abitibi County, Quebec. It is a gold producer, and presently treats an average of 1,200 tons of ore per day, at a grade of approximately 0.18 oz. per ton recovered. The mill started operations in March, I937, at a rate of 300 tons per day. This was increased to 800 tons in I940, and to 1,000 tons by I943. The rate was cut back during the war years, but was brought back up to capacity by I948. The mill tonnage was in-creased to the present 1,200 tons per day in I960. The underground workings are serviced through No. 2 Shaft (Figure 1), which, with 24 operating levels, extends from surface to a depth of 3,317 feet. When depth exploration was decided upon, two possibilities were considered: (a) deepen the main shaft by1,000 feet; (b) put down a winze for the same distance.

Pressure oxidation is increasingly being used for processing refractory sulphide ores and concentrates because it offers highly effective base metal and precious metal extraction while minimizing elemental sulphur, arsenic & mercury emissions. Yet pressure oxidation processes introduce new safety concerns and process risks as demonstrated by a number of safety incidents over the last 20 years, including overfilling, oxygen-metal fires, nozzle/sparger failures, and uncontrolled pressure relief events. Chemical Process Safety regulations in the United States and Canada mandate that companies constructing or operating chemical process facilities perform a rigorous hazard and risk analysis based on either ANSI/ISA-84.00.01 or IEC 61511 safety standards to determine the level of protection required for each hazard in the plant. This paper describes the application and implementation of three (3) unique safety instrumented systems developed by Hatch for ensuring the safe operation of three different pressure oxidation processes.

In hard siliceous sandstone strata overlying coal seams, roof bolting is often the bottleneck in the coal production cycle. In the past, these strata have been drilled by pneumatically operated stopers. Although slow drilling is cumbersome and uncomfortably noisy, the stoper was the most effective drill in these harder strata. However, because of the (U.S.) Coal Mining Safety Act, which limits noise levels for operating drills, FMC Mining Equipment developed the water-through-the-drill-steel method of drilling high-compressive-strength strata. Although water-through-the-drill steel had been developed earlier, the real impact of wet drilling techniques surfaced when the dual-boom roof drilling machines were installed at the Virginia-Pocahontas Division, Keen Mountain, Virginia, in 1974. This paper covers some of the technical details of the water-through- the-drill-steel design and its application.

"IntroductionAT NORANDA, the strength of the ore and wall-rocks per-mitted mining in large open stopes. While some of the orebodies were small and could be mined out in one stope, in most cases their size was such that it was essential that ore pillars be left during the first stage of mining. In these cases, backfilling has been necessary for ground control and to facilitate the later recovery of the ore in these pillars.This paper discusses the development of the •backfill and •its use in pillar recovery.GeologyThe ore bodies at Noranda occur as replacement deposits in a block of rhyolite flows and breccias, bounded on the north by the Horne Creek fault and on the south by the Noranda Andesite fault. Mineralization consists of pyrite, pyrrhotite, magnetite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, gold, and various tellurides.The main orebody is a massive sulphide deposit designated the 'H' orebody. It is elliptical in plan, measuring roughly 400 feet by 800 feet, and is divided into two zones -Upper H, extending from surface to the 1,500-foot level, and Lower H, from the 1 ,500-foot level to just below the 3,000-foot level.Mining MethodsOpen stope mining in both Upper H and Lower H zones has been fully described in previous publications (1). A brief review only of the mining methods will be given here."

The paper industry in the Pacific Northwest is a potentially large market for industrial clays. Current trends within the paper industry towards higher quality newsprint, filled and coated papers, offers an incentive for exploration in the region since the current supply of kaolin is mainly from Georgia in the southeastern U.S. Freight rates commonly exceed US$100 per tonne. The kaolin resources of the Pacific Northwest require expensive processing technologies to meet the industry specifications and it is doubtful that any large development of the local resources can be supported at the present time. Competition from high-quality regional resources of carbonates is another factor weighing against the development of local kaolin resources while there is a potential threat from shipments ofAsian and Brazilian kaolin in the early part of the 21st century.

Banded iron formations (BIFs) comprise complex textures and mineralogy, which result from fluid-rock interactions related to high and low temperature alteration. The initial iron oxy hydroxide mineralogy and associated phases such as carbonates, quartz, apatite and phyllosilicates were transformed leading to an upgrading of these BIFs into the world’s largest source of iron ore. In low-grade BIFs, a large part of the iron is related to micro- and nano- metric iron-bearing inclusions within micrometric quartz and/or carbonates (mainly dolomite). We studied laminated jaspilitic BIF samples from a drill core containing 26.71 wt.% total iron, 0.2 wt.% SiO2, 0.32 wt.% MnO, 15.46 wt.% MgO, 22.32 wt.% CaO, 0.09 wt.% P2O5, < 0.05 wt.% Al2O3, 0.15 wt.% H2O and 34.08 wt.% CO2 (Aguas Claras Mine, Quadrilatero Ferrifero, Brazil). Bright rose coloured dolomite and quartz bands alternate with massive specular hematite bands. Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and FIB-TEM analyses reveal that the micro- and nanometric inclusions in dolomite are mainly hematite and minor goethite, partly occurring as clusters in voids. Curie Balance analyses were carried out at different heating steps and temperatures on whole rock samples and a synthetic mix of decarbonated sample and pure dolomite. X-ray diffraction on the products of the heating experiments shows that that hematite is stable and new phases: magnesioferrite (MgFe2O4), lime (CaO), periclase (MgO), portlandite (Ca(OH)2) and srebrodoskite (Ca2Fe2O5) were formed between 680°C and 920°C. These finding gives hints to optimizing the beneficiation process, as the presence of hydroxyl ions bearing goethite micro- and nanoinclusions lowers the sintering temperature. Prior separation of coarse hematite and barren dolomite and quartz, followed by lower temperature sintering of the inclusionbearing dolomite/quartz leads to transformations into phases with higher magnetic susceptibilities (such as hematite and magnesioferrite). The entire Fe and Fe/Mg oxide feed (the priorly separated fraction added to the sintered fraction) can then pass through wet-high intensity magnetic separation after crushing.

"Plant availability up 13%, production output up 40%, tons per employee up 15% and labor turnover down 52%. One mine manager states these were direct spin offs from the work being done to qualify for a safety award in the program known as the ""IMSRS 11 over a three-year period of time. ""Of Course"", stated this manager, ""these were in addition to an 87% reduction in our disabling injusry frequency rate.”Officially known as the International Mine Safety Rating System or the Five Star Mine Safety Rating, a new approach to mine safety is being used with enthusiasm by a significant number of mines in Canada, the U.S., Australia, Chile, Indonesia, the Philippines and South Africa. Significant results are coming into the International Loos Control Institute from over 125 mines from these countries.The program is built around a mine safety audit system that gives positive recognition to a mine at 5-step intervals along the way, (a star with each step attained). The Institute has licensed auditors in locations in Canada and the U.S. available to audit.It is believed the success of this program is the result of the premise upon which the program is based. The results being achieved are due to the concept that a modern, well-managed mine safety program maintains the basic foundation of a complete management system. When properly implemented, it reinforces those factors common to production, quality and safety. (Attitude - skill - knowledge - fitness - structure - machine - equipment - materials and processes). The IMSRS contains elements that reinforce all these factors. It uniquely treats safety as part of the ""right way"" to do the job and not just the ""safe way"" as a distinctly separate entity. Mines using this program now recognize that many of the older safety techniques were not necessarily the right way or the most efficient way to do things. "Coals from the Corporation&apos;s Lingan and No. 26 mines are classified as high-volatile A bituminous, with a very low inherent ash and containing a/l essential properties to provide metallurgical coal, with the exception of a high sulphur content. Only through proper cleaning at low specific gravity can the pyritic sulphur fraction of the coal be liberated to an extent where final sulphur meets coking standards. This first section of the paper deals with the operation of a Dutch State Mines heavy-media cyclone circuit to achieve an actual separation in the region of 1.30 specific gravity. A discussion of the parameter of control which must be applied along with an appraisal of the results obtained is included in the paper.IntroductionVery high fluidity and unusually low ash are the outstanding characteristics of coal from Devco&apos;s mines in the Harbour seam of the Sydney coal field.However, sulphur content, mainly pyritic, ranges from 1 to 2.5070. To obtain the low and consistent sulphur level required in metallurgical coking coals, preparation at low specific gravity is required .Metallurgical coke is used as the fuel in an iron blast furnace. Its sulphur content largely determines the quantity of slag required to remove it and therefore influences furnace productivity and unit costs.Typical data on the various coal properties of importance in the production of coke are included in Table I. Necessity of Low-Gravity SeparationThe design of any coal preparation plant requires the study of washability properties of the coal to be treated to determine the quantity and quality of coal produced at a given specific gravity along with the difficulty in accomplishing that separation.Their low ash content allows the important washability aspects of Harbour seam coals to be represented by sulphur! specific gravity curves (Fig. I). This particular example indicates that a yield of 54.5% is attained, at a sulphur content of 1.20%, for a perfect separating device operating with a 1.29 S.G. cut point.Material rejected from this separation still contains usable coal, which is recovered as middlings by separating at a higher gravity."

Compañía Minera Antamina is a polymetallic mining complex that produces copper and zinc concentrates as primary products and molybdenum and lead/bismuth/silver concentrates as by-products. In 2007, Metso Process Technology and Innovation (PTI) was contracted to increase SAG mill throughput by integrating and optimising blast fragmentation, crushing and grinding for the harder M4/M4A (CuZn) ores. Following the implementation of recommendations provided by Metso PTI, the SAG mill throughput increased from 2750tph to reach an average of 3600tph for the remainder of 2007. Due to continued application of mine to mill integration and optimisation philosophy, by 2010, the concentrator consistently exceeded the target of 4400tph while processing harder CuZn ores.
