"Wireless technologies are permeating the mining and metals industry and enabling a myriad of benefits. With standards such as IEEE 802.11 for wireless devices and ISA100.11a for wireless field instruments protecting their investments, customers look to benefit from the cost and flexibility offered by wireless devices. Using wireless field instruments, plants are eliminating the costs associated with wired system by 50 to 70% and using these savings to install more field instruments, which, when used smartly, enables them to optimize their processes efficiency and equipment reliability. Wireless also empowers a mobile workforce by allowing them to have access to key process and maintenance data directly from the field. This paper describes how wireless can help operations and maintenance personnel to be more effective. "In this study, the vapour phase reduction of titanium tetrachloride conforms to the traditional Kroll chemistry, but employs argon as an inert carrier gas and requires a higher reaction temperature of 1150°C to 1250°C. A vapour phase reaction is advantageous because titanium is the only condensed phase present, and the metal can be collected free of magnesium or magnesium chloride, in marked contrast to the titanium sponge produced by the conventional Kroll process. The yield of metallic titanium from the reaction was determined as magnesium additions ranged from 36% to 168% of the stoichiometric requirement. Yields of over 99% were obtained when an excess of magnesium was present. Although the collection efficiency was low, metallic titanium was collected at the reaction site, where all other species were present as vapours. Magnesium and chlorine concentrations in the collected titanium were less than 0.3%.IntroductionA proposed method (Curlook, 1987) for titanium production has been investigated as an alternative to the conventional Kroll process (Kroll, 1940). The advantages of the new process include a simplified means of recovering the product metal, and a potential for lower overall energy consumption and greater product purity. A higher reaction temperature for the reduction of titanium tetrachloride results in a vapour phase reaction, rather than the conventional liquid phase reaction. ABSTRACT The Caetité-Brazil uranium facility produces approximately 400 tonnes U3O8 per year from an ore averaging 0.29% U3O8. The process steps are ore crushing, heap leaching with sulphuric acid, uranium separation and purification by solvent extraction (SX) with a tertiary amine, followed by stripping with a sodium chloride solution, precipitation as ammonium diuranate (ADU), and product drying. A change in the milling process is being evaluated to increase production and uranium recovery. Heap leaching will be replaced by conventional agitated tank leaching of the –590 µm ground ore slurry in a sulphuric acid medium. Replacement of the stripping reagent is also being considered.

"Abstract - Time-domain electromagnetic systems are most sensitive to highly conductive targets during the transmitter on-time. Data collected during the on-time is highly influenced by the geometric relationship between the transmitter and the receiver. Unless corrections can be applied for these geometric variations, the ability to correctly detect and identify highly conductive targets can not be fully realized. Variables affecting the relative position between the transmitter and receiver include changes in the position of the receiver with respect to the transmitter, variations in transmitter attitude, and transmitter loop deformation. The level of accuracy in the determination of the relative geometry required to permit complete removal of the effects due to geometric variations is different for each of the variables and is dependent on the depth of the target. The most influential geometric variation involves changes in the relative position of the receiver with respect to the transmitter along the direction of flight; this variable, therefore, requires the highest degree of accuracy. The accuracy required for receiver motions along the vertical direction is roughly one order of magnitude less, and in the lateral direction, several orders of magnitude less. The objective of this paper is to relate the sensitivity of the response to transmitter-receiver geometry to the ability of an airborne, time-domain electromagnetic system to resolve a highly conductive vertical target. This is achieved by a detailed analysis of the effect of the individual x, y, and z distances between the transmitter and the receiver, the transmitter attitude (roll, pitch, and yaw), and transmitter deformation.Sommaire - Les systèmes électromagnétiques en domaine temporel sont particulièrement sensibles aux cibles à forte conductivité durant le temps d’excitation. "The author will review the early history of shaft sinking as well as focus on the improvements made in shaft design and construction over the last fifty years (1970 to 2019) to predict how shaft sinking will change over the next fifty years and describe what the shaft sinking world might look like in 2070. INTRODUCTION It is a great honour to be one of your keynote speakers for the Fourth International Conference on Shaft Design and Construction being held in Toronto in November 2019. This is one of the opportunities we have to thank the Mining Companies of the world as well as the industries and companies we serve for their support of the mining contracting and shaft sinking business of Canada and the world at large. Many of these companies are represented here today. Without your support many of the innovations we will talk about today would not be possible. We would also like to thank all the companies that work with us in our business including all the contractors and suppliers who provide the various services we require. These include equipment manufacturers, engineering companies, project management companies and suppliers large and small who cater to our every need as quickly as possible. Without all these partners we would not be as good as we are. Many of these companies are our sponsors this week. Thank you from all of us! This is also an appropriate time to pause and think about those Shaft Sinkers we have lost and those who have been injured on our projects around the world. Please bow your head and remember the Shaft Sinkers you have worked with, who did not return home or those who returned home injured. Think about how we can continue the work of making shafts safer every day as we go forward with our projects so everyone goes home to their families safe and sound. Pause for a minute and thank you. The subject matter we have chosen to discuss today is “Shaft Sinking in the Next Five Decades”. PROGRESSIVE industrial organizations have recognized the importance of maintaining an adequate reference library of volumes covering all phases of their particular branch of industry, but it has been the experience of the writer that few engineers know how to use to the best advantage this store of extremely -valuable information which has been accumulated for their service. Nor does the average engineer appreciate the fact that it is only through the current technical literature that he can keep abreast of the rapidly developing fields of engineering. The present-day ramifications of the engineering field are of such wide scope that the human mind is not capable of storing away more than a small fraction of the information available on any particular topie; yet, from time ? to time, such information would prove invaluable. An engineer can know intimately only a small part of his own branch of engineering; but he cannot afford to neglect to take the fullest possible advantage of all that is already known in his own particular field. Technical information may be obtained by one or more of the following methods: (1) by enquiring of the individual who knows; (2) by performing the experimental investigations necessary to ascertain the facts; (3) by consulting the technical literature, where a record may be found of the work of others. This last method is the one we wish to examine. Our main consideration is the question of how to use the library, but first it is necessary to give some attention to the kind of enquiries one takes to the library, and to the nature of the sources of information available.

"The paper/presentation will review the evolution of diesel technology from older diesel engines (1990 vintage) through to the latest technology as a result of the ever changing emissions regulations. It will encompass the EPA Tier levels as well as the latest Euro Stage V emissions. The next step with technology will be to address the CO2 emissions, which translates to improving fuel efficiencies of the product as well as other technologies like battery electric, hybrid and fuel cells. As technology progresses it also becomes important to improve connective diagnostic systems to support maintenance practices and improve efficiencies. What will also be presented will be the key emissions changes to the different gaseous and particle mass elements as the products have transitioned from the EPA Tier 3 through to Tier 4 Final regulations. Offering a range of different technologies to the underground mining market matters as not all pieces of equipment will perform optimally due to its duty cycle and application. INTRODUCTION Rudolf Diesel built his first well-known prototype of the high-compression engine in 1897. Since that time, the diesel engine has evolved into one of the world’s most capable and reliable forms of power generation. Diesel engines can be found in a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, powering everything from agriculture and construction equipment to power generators and marine vessels. In the early days the emissions from diesels was very poor and extensive work has been accomplished over the decades to make the product more environmentally friendly. This is more important in underground mining where the space is limited and ventilation is expensive and challenging. DISCUSSION The key driver of the development of diesel technology is the legislation globally around engine emissions. The emission level requirements over the years has forced diesel engine manufacturers to build a deep technical understanding of the system and how to innovate and optimize key elements of the engine. Cummins expertise has been built over the years as the diesel engine has evolved from a relatively simple mechanical engine to an electronic system with advanced air handling, fuel system, after treatment, and controls. Cummins has also continued to expand into systems beyond diesel, including natural gas. Many new components have been added to diesel engines to reduce emissions while improving fuel efficiency and reliability and, at the same time, reduce the total cost of ownership to the customer."

"Redpath Canada Limited and joint venture partner Thyssen Mining and Construction Canada have recently completed the sinking of the Scissors Creek service in Saskatchewan through its joint owned company, Associated Mining Construction (AMC). The Scissors Creek service shaft was sunk at Nutrien’s Rocanville mine. The following paper outlines the shaft sinking plant and the methodology related to sinking and shaft lining. KEYWORDS Hydraulic shaft jumbo, Hydraulic shaft mucker, Potash shaft sinking, Shaft lining, Sinking galloway INTRODUCTION The sinking and lining of shafts at mines to access mineral deposits has always been one of the great mining challenges for owners, engineers and contractors. Over the course of history in Canadian mining, the sinking of potash shafts through the notorious Blairmore formation of Saskatchewan has proved to be some of the most challenging shaft sinking projects on record. There is no doubt that today’s shaft sinking business demands the utmost in safety performance while delivering projects within schedule and budget. Given these requisites, Redpath and TMCC (executed under the joint venture company, Associated Mining Construction or AMC), were taxed with developing the shaft sinking system to deliver this program in the safest and cost effective manner, with due regard to schedule and quality. Traditionally the potash shafts sunk in Saskatchewan involved a significant level of manual labour, owing to the methodology of excavation by means of chipping the frozen shaft sections with hand held pneumatic machines, and manually placing tubbing segments or steel liners of the shaft lining system. Most certainly, the AMC team wanted to make a step change from those earlier sinking programs and develop systems for sinking this potash shaft that removed the high level of manual work, thus making this project inherently safer, while endeavoring to sink more efficiently. With that in mind, the team embarked on a design program to improve its overall shaft sinking systems without the requirement for excessive capital and methodology flexibility to adapt to potential changing conditions expected to be encountered during shaft sinking. This was especially important should the new approach be met with less than expected success, and retrofitting of the system was required. The concepts were developed to provide for a much improved work environment, while easing the manual labour burden on the workers with innovative equipment and approach to the work."

"The Cordilleran region of western Canada includes most of British Columbia and the Yukon and pares of Alberta and the Northwest Territories. The western part of this region was for about 50 years the principal mineral producing area of the Dominion. It lost this distinction in 1907 when production from the mines of the Canadian Shield took the lead, but it continues to provide about 15 percent of the total Canadian production. In 1945 the total mineral production of British Columbia and the Yukon was valued at $65,302,900, of which about 80 percent was derived from metals.This paper is intended to serve as an introduction co the more derailed Cordilleran papers. Part I includes a brief synopsis of the complex geology and diverse types of mineralization in the region and Parr II collates the main structural principles exemplified in the derailed papers, and draws some conclusions regarding the application of this information to prospecting."

The response of reclaimed gold tailings to acid leaching was investigated in the laboratory, followed by a pilot-plant program in which the operations of CCD, CIX and SX were tested with plant feed material. These results formed the basis for the design of the extension to the existing uranium plant at Blyvooruitzicht Gold Mine, commissioned in July 1977. This circuit consists of slimes-dam reclamation by bucket-wheel excavator at a rate of 100,000 t solids per month, acid leaching in pachucas, a five-stage CCD washing section, two parallel C1X absorption columns and two elution columns, SX and an ADU precipitation section. Barren solution is recycled to the CCD section as wash and to the repulper at the slimes dam. The performance of the plant during the first year of operation is compared with the predictions on which the plant design was based. Rated capacity was achieved within three weeks of start-up at a nominal dissolved uranium recovery in the ion-exchange section of around 98%. Owing to recycle, the over-all recovery in the ion-exchange and solvent extraction sections is somewhat higher than this figure.

Campbell Mine operates a 100 tpd gold autoclave that treats sulphide concentrates at 305 psi and 200 °C. Autoclave feed consists of fresh pretreated concentrate, an acidic oxide slurry recycle as well as other high arsenic sources. The brickwork that is used to construct the five compartments of the vessel must be inspected and repaired periodically. Shutdowns are scheduled to inspect this brickwork and at times replace entire sections of the brick walls or lining. It also provides an opportunity to repair or replace other internal features such as agitator blades or oxygen spargers. Mechanics and contractors are scheduled around the clock to perform the maintenance requirements. There are many safety considerations and precautions that must be taken in order to protect the well-being of the workers and minimize damage to sensitive pieces of equipment. Heat, arsenic and lead contamination and confined space issues are just a few of the hazards involved. The following paper will describe how these safety concerns are addressed and will serve as a guide for future autoclave shutdowns.

This paper will outline the problems and solutions of the new generation washeries, as well as the recent technological advances which are being considered for future coal preparation plants. The subjects to be covered will include: - reasons for considering coal preparation plants; - raw coal crushing and handling systems; - types of coal cleaning equipment being used versus new equipment being considered; - fine coal circuit sizing; - clean coal centrifuging and dewatering; - thermal dryer problems and changes; - fine refuse dewatering systems; - clean coal storage problems and changes; - materials handling within the plants; and - control systems for preparation plants. The design and integration of the various circuits that form a modern coal preparation plant have led to the creation of an exciting new field of industrial research. As the need for energy sources increases, efficient methods of preparing coals for specific markets will become more important.

"The flotation of monazite is depressed when using hydroxamic acid as a collector in the presence of calcium ions which may exist due to the dissolution of minerals such as calcite. Minor dosages of sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) were found to effectively depress calcite, whereas the flotation of monazite was not impaired in single mineral flotation tests. However, in a mixed mineral flotation system, monazite flotation was depressed significantly. The mechanism of hydroxamate adsorption on monazite and calcite, the depression mechanism of calcite on monazite, as well as the depression mechanism of SHMP on calcite and monazite were studied using micro-flotation, electro-kinetic, and adsorption tests. Findings indicate that the adsorption of hydroxamate on monazite was due to chemisorption while adsorption on calcite was a result of physical interaction. SHMP significantly increased the negative charges of calcite surfaces which depressed the adsorption of the hydroxamate anions on the calcite surfaces due to an elevated electrostatic repulsion force. When calcium-rich minerals such as calcite are mixed with monazite, the calcium ions dissolved from the mineral surfaces specifically adsorb onto the phosphate oxygen sites on the monazite mineral surfaces thereby causing depressing effects. The addition of SHMP to suppress collector adsorption on the calcite surfaces interacts with the calcium species that were specifically adsorbed onto the monazite surface, which prevents hydroxamic acid adsorption onto the rare earth oxygen sites due steric hindrance and results in the flotation depression of monazite. INTRODUCTIONAs one of the commercial rare earth ores, monazite has been widely exploited to produce additives for catalysts, batteries, alloys, etc. Because of the complexity and the fine nature of some monazite ores, methods such as gravity, magnetic, and electrostatic separation to treat beach sand monazite fail to produce satisfactory concentrates, suggesting the use of floatation is warranted (Cheng, Holtham, & Tran, 1993). The primary associated minerals of monazite ores include ilmenite, quartz, zircon, rutile, sillimanite (Dixit & Biswas, 1969; Pavez a& Peres, 1994, 1993). Using sodium oleate as collector for monazite has been reported in many studies (Cheng et al., 1993; Dixit & Biswas, 1969; Pavez & Peres, 1994, 1993). Several investigations have reported maximum floatability of monazite occurring at pH values between 8 and 9 (Cheng et al., 1993; Dixit & Biswas, 1969). A study conducted by Pavez and Peres (1994) compared the use of hydroxamate and sodium oleate for the treatment of a monazite ore and found that hydroxamate significantly improved the grade of rougher concentrate."

This growing dependence of Canada upon foreign mineral commodities, just referred to, applies particularly in the direction of the United States. There is, in fact, no more significant feature of Canada's mineral trade than the manner in which it affects the Dominion's commercial standing with that country. Our heavy adverse balance of trade with the United States is perhaps not a matter of such wide concern or frequent comment as was the case two or three years ago. It is, of course, a well-known fact that the Dominion each year buys from the States a volume of goods to a value enormously in excess of our sales to that country. And it has come to be accepted as a ?normal, though not altogether satisfactory, feature of our international commerce that a huge portion of the bill incurred by our American purchases must be met, not by our American sales, but by the proceeds of our sales to other countries, not-ably Great Britain. It is a three-cornered situation in which our trading deficit with the United States is covered largely by our trading surplus with the United Kingdom. In this situation the mineral trade plays a remarkable part. If one delves into the details of our transactions with the United States it will be found that, in one sense, the mineral trade is entirely responsible for the huge annual balance against the Dominion. In fact, Canada gets decidedly better than an even break on Canadian American trade, if one leaves out of account the three mineral groups, "iron and steel", "non- metallic minerals", and "non-ferrous metals".

WE associate metals with hardness, toughness, and strength. But a curious paradox lies at the root of the valuable mechanical proper-ties of the metallic state: in order to be strong, a metal must be weak. This paradox, and the equally surprising fact that, in a sense, metals are not true solids at all, are among the topics here discussed by Sir Lawrence Bragg. (1) WHAT METALS MEAN TO US We employ various materials to build or fabricate the many objects we use in everyday life, choosing those whose properties are most suitable for the purpose which the object has to serve. Certain of these materials have been used from the earliest times, such as stone, wood, leather, and animal or vegetable fibres, each with its own peculiar valuable properties. Stone resists crushing and is very durable and permanent, as indeed it must be, since it has so long resisted change as a part of-the earth's crust. It is there-fore ideal for walls and buildings, and very early in his history man discovered how to make artificial stones by burning clay, with the advantage that they could be given any desired shape, and made into bricks or given elaborate forms as pottery. Wood is strong and tough and light, it resists tension as well as compression, and is nor brittle like stone. It forms beams and furniture and parts of tools or weapons. Leather is tough but at the same time iris flexible; it is ideal as straps or sheers. Vegetable fibres such as linen or cotton, and animal fibres such as wool and silk, owe their value to their flexibility and strength in resisting extension. They can be spun into yarn or rope, and woven into cloth. The technological age in which we are now living is replacing the natural products used by early man by a series of artificial products, but it is remarkable to see how in nearly every case we are copying Nature's materials. The wide use of concrete represents a developed art of making artificial stone. Artificial fibres such as rayon or ?nylon replace cotton, wool, and flax. Plastics are coming very much to the fore; they correspond to early man's use of horn, another substance with peculiar properties of roughness in all directions without the 'grain' of wood. For the most part we are following in the footsteps of our remote ancestors, though we can make for ourselves what they had to cull from wood and field. There are exceptions; for instance, we have discovered comparatively recently the number of uses to which natural rubber can be put, and are now making it artificially. This is a really new discovery; our ancestors had nothing with such remarkable powers of elastic stretching without breaking, and resistance to being abraded.

"These studies address the relationship between mill media sizing and its grinding efficiency. Starting with the results from a review of the literature, the issues of initial media sizing for a new ball milling circuit, and then optimal media sizing for an existing milling operation, were studied. The Functional Performance parameters “Mill Grinding Efficiency” and cumulative “Mill Grinding Rates” from both plant and test-scale equipment were used, and provide valuable new insight into this topic. A plant media sizing diagnostic tool is presented, as are newly developed testing equipment and evaluation methods, and recent case studies.REVIEW OF MEDIA SIZING LITERATURE For a plant metallurgist to answer the question “How can I maximize plant profit by manipulating this grinding circuit variable?” she must know what effect the variable has on grinding circuit efficiency. Despite the significant cost of grinding media and its potential effect on production capacity, the ‘best’ media sizing remains ill-defined for any given ball mill circuit in the industry today. The underlying reasons for this will be discussed. But the importance of this issue drove Metcom and its industrial partners to take on the challenge of how to engineer the ball charge for an existing grinding circuit. In the absence of any proven method, the first step was a review of the literature. Sponsored by Cleveland-Cliffs, Inc., a broad review of the literature was undertaken, producing “The Effect of Media Sizing on Ball Milling Efficiency” (McIvor, 1997). Among hundreds of publications that were reviewed that discuss the topics of media sizing or wear, forty-five were studied in detail. These were grouped into: plant experiences; laboratory and pilot plant investigations; media wear studies; population balance modeling studies; and general papers on ball milling which included the topic of media sizing. The reader is encouraged to refer to that review. The findings remain unchanged, although some relevant papers have been written since (e.g. Staples et al, 1997; Banasi et al, 1999; Orford et al, 2006; LaMarsh, 2015). "The INCO SO2/air process was patented by INCO in 1985 (Borbely, Devuyst, Ettel, Mosoiu & Schitka, 1985). Well over 80 mining operations worldwide are using this process to oxidize cyanides to cyanates in the tailings from gold, silver and copper mining operations. Though it is possible to supply sulphur dioxide (SO2) in either gas or liquid form, the majority of these SO2/air operations use sulphite-based salts as the ‘SO2’ equivalent reducing agent. This is probably due to the lower capital cost, safety concerns with, and availability of liquid SO2. Sodium metabisulphite (SMBS) is commonly employed, and its cost is an order of magnitude higher than that of sulphur. The increased capital expenditures (CAPEX) for a sulphur-burning SO2 gas plant could have a pay-back of less than two years. In addition, a SO2 gas plant offers potential for significant heat recovery from the sulphur burning process. In terms of safety, the SO2 gas plant only requires the storage of relatively benign sulphur and the site inventory of SO2 will be limited to the plant gas inventory. Furthermore, a SO2 gas plant will not trigger the US Clean Air Act Section 112(r) accident prevention regulations, as may be the case for liquid SO2.Most existing mining operations using ‘SO2’ are gold operations, but in recent years there has been an increased interest in larger sulphur dioxide gas plants for hydrometallurgical facilities that employ leaching of cobalt/manganese minerals or precipitation of manganese/iron (e.g. Tenke Fungurume and Boleo).This paper discusses the different processes which require SO2 as a reducing agent and compares the capital and operational costs of a SO2 gas plant to conventional process alternatives using sulphite-based salts or liquid SO2.The heart of the SO2 gas plant is the sulphur furnace. The most economical way to produce SO2 is by combustion of sulphur in air producing up to 19.5 vol% SO2. Examples of large and small sulphur furnaces are discussed in terms of design, operation, and impacts on operational costs.The SO2 gas produced in a sulphur-burning plant has to be contacted with the liquor to be reduced. The choice of gas-liquid contacting device is important, and two contacting devices are discussed: 1) Gas sparging into the bottom of leach tanks (high, nearly constant, back pressure due to liquid head) and 2) absorption columns (low gas-side pressure drop)."

THE work of Brown and others at Pittsburgh (Brown, Baum, Yant, and Schrenk, 1938)(1) and the success of their light field microprojector (Figure 1), have shown that the microscopy of dust quantitation can be greatly improved. It has been shown that dark-field microprojection of dust spots on konimeter slides is possible (Pullen, 1940), and this paper is a discussion of the new microprojector and a new counting method which is made practical by this instrument. The microscope makes possible the ready determination of the dustiness of mine ventilation air. Reduction of the dust concentration from a dangerous to a safe level involves one or more of the following: reduction of dust production, filtration of the air stream, or dilution with non-dusty air. Each of these raises important engineering problems of time and costs, and trustworthy information on the state of dustiness of the air is required ?both before and after the employment of any method of reduction. Records of this information may be divided into two broad classes concerned with safety: (1) the level of dustiness, and (2) the quantity and kind of dust produced by a machine under a given set of conditions. Though the first requires only one determination for a given time and place, numerous routine records are required to show the continuous safety of the air in an actively producing mine. Though repeated samples are required, highly accurate counts are not needed to show safety or to indicate whether a substantial increase in the non-dusty ventilation air has produced a proportionate decrease in the dustiness of the mixed air. The Devers and Gathercole konimeters have proved satisfactory instruments for this purpose in Ontario.

This article is directed co a commentary on the patent system in its relation to the public interest. As man gained supremacy over his environment, he could devote progressively increasing portions o his time to improving his standards of living. In the history of the human race, we have advanced from the hollowed floating log to the modern steamship of the present age; from the sickle and flail to the reaper and combine; from the trumpet and drum as a means of communication co the telegraph, telephone, and radio; from the horse and ox cart to the automobile, truck, aeroplane, and train; and so on ad infinitum through the list of inventions on which are based the industrial and political economies and standards of living we enjoy today. It has also been a long road from the day of the alchemist and his closely guarded secrets to the era of the patent system and its storehouses of knowledge open to the world. The alchemist and the craft and merchant guilds closely guarded their secrets. In fact, they largely opposed innovations on the grounds that they might injure profits and restrict employment. In these days of unrest, with great clamour out of doors for radical changes in our political and industrial economies, it may not be untimely to examine one of the keystones which support the economic structure we know as the free enterprise system, the system which is predicated upon the right of the individual to own property. Many, through impractical idealism, ignorance, confused thinking, or blind political prejudice, advocate the substitution of ownership by the State ? for the right of ownership by the individual. As civilization has advanced to the high standards of living we enjoy today through the efforts of a comparatively few inventors, the patent system which has provided the incentive that created the inventions on which our industries and our employment are based is fully understood and appreciated by a comparatively small percentage of our people. As a result, the patent system, as a keystone in our free enterprise economy, is an apt target for destructive criticism, with the thought, possibly, that by eliminating or drastically restricting the several rights to individual ownership one by one, ownership by the State will progressively replace ownership by the individual.
