For many years The Hanna Mining Company has been investigating the flotation of the non-magnetic iron ores located in the Western Mesabi Range of Minnesota.1 During the 1950's a number of anionic iron procedures were evaluated and in the late 1950's and early 1960's the anionic silica floats and the cationic silica floats were tested with improved results.2 The cationic float became more attractive and effective by the use of the improved ether amines. About 1962 a desliming process by selective flocculation was developed by the U.S. Bureau of Hines at Minneapolis', Minnesota.3, 4, 5 This is a very efficient method of desliming and was first tried with the anionic silica float and then the more practical cationic silica float. In the mid 1960's The Hanna Research Laboratory began studies to optimize the selective flocculation process for our ores. This was followed by studies to optimize the cationic silica float after desliming by selective flocculation. This testwork was done on large, 500 to 1000 tonne bulk samples of oxidized taconite which were later successfully piloted at .68t/h (1500 Lbs. /hr.). A program was then begun to test the oxidized portions of numerous taconite drill holes to outline the ore bodies and develop mining plans. This paper will discuss our optimization results of both the selective flocculation and the cationic silica float as applied to our various ores. In addition the pilot plant studies and drill core testwork will be discussed.

The present research work deals with the effective utilization of hematite ore containing goethite, kaolinite and gibbsite losson- ignition (LOI) phases in pellet making without deteriorating product pellet properties by optimizing the induration cycle especially drying and preheating of pellets. Adequate drying and preheating of pellets before sintering is of prime importance to sustain the desired properties of pellets. Green pellets of + 8 to − 16 mm size were prepared in a laboratory disc pelletizer and indurated by varying drying and preheating temperatures in a laboratory Raising Hearth Furnace (RHF). Produced pellets were assessed for physical and metallurgical properties. Improvement in drying and preheating temperature simultaneously helped in mitigating fired pellets’ property deterioration. Drying at 300 °C and preheating at 750 °C helped in the maximum removal of matrix LOI from the pellets before firing and enabled the production of pellets of desired properties. Laboratory scale findings successfully implemented at existing 4.2 MTPA capacity pellet plant of JSW Steel Ltd. Vijayanagar and high LOI iron ores (IOs) utilised which resulted in reduction of average monthly pellet fines generation by ~2 wt. %.

This paper examines the effect of bucket geometry (cutting blade profile, floor profile, and blade thickness), speed, motor power output, and muckpile particle sizes on bucket penetration and draft for rubber tire loaders. The work uses a 1:16 scaled model of a load-haul-dump in full factorial experiments to examine the effect of the variables on penetration and maximum draft. The results show that speed and motor output are positively correlated to penetration and draft; muckpile particle size is positively correlated to penetration and negatively correlated to draft (p < 0.0014). The results show that buckets with a semi-spade cutting nose profile yield the highest penetration (mean 118.30 mm) followed by those with the spade (mean 108.88 mm), which also yield higher penetration than those straight blades (mean 95.19 mm). Bucket floor profile and blade thickness had no significant effect on penetration or draft. Also, we determined that increasing the speed and motor power output, simultaneously, can reduce bucket penetration. Thus, operators should not waste energy for no additional gain or even loss in bucket penetration. Also, the work finds speed and motor power output each combine with muckpile particle sizes to affect bucket penetration. This research furthers our understanding of the effectiveness of different bucket geometries in improving penetration and reducing draft for rubber tire loaders.

"The Sierra Gorda SCM sulfide ore processing plant began commissioning in the third quarter of 2014. Located in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, the project is an open pit mine and Copper-Molybdenum processing plant is one of the most highly-instrumented operations in the world. It is the first hard rock operation in Chile and the second in South America to utilize HPGR technology. It is a significant Molybdenum resource especially in the first five years and the Molybdenum separation plant is complex. Designed to process up to 60 million lbs. of fine Molybdenum per year, it uses the latest technology and equipment to ensure superior recovery and product quality. It also has gas handling and alarm systems to fulfil the Company’s vision of “Zero Harm”. This paper discusses the overall operation and issues relating to the concentrator start-up. These include a review of the mineral processing design, the unified process control center and management information systems, and the correlation of geological and metallurgical performance data (mine-to-mill) for use in anticipating and preparing for treatment of diverse ore deliveries. INTRODUCTION Sierra Gorda SCM is a joint venture partnership with KGHM International (owned by KGHM SA, Poland), Sumitomo Metal Mining, and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan) operating in northern Chile. The Sierra Gorda open pit mine and Copper-Molybdenum processing plant will become one of the largest mines in the world. The need for optimum production efficiency and sustainability has driven the creation of the most modern, well-instrumented mine in Chile. This paper contains a general review of the project including geology and history. This was a very fast-track project going from greenfield site acquisition to mill start-up in 10 years. Highly-experienced and motivated engineers and technical staff have overcome many significant challenges resulting in a rapid ramp-up of production capacity. A potential expansion to double the production rate in the fourth year of operation has also been intensely studied. The Sierra Gorda property is located in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile, in the District of Sierra Gorda, Region II of Antofagasta, Chile (see Figure 1). There is almost no precipitation in this area. The mine site is generally flat with some rolling hills. The project is located about 5 km from the village of Sierra Gorda at an elevation of approximately 1,700 m above mean sea level. The village is near a highway and railway line. The city of Calama, home of the famous Chuquicamata Mine, is located about 60 km northeast of Sierra Gorda. In addition, the SG mine is in the midst of numerous other mines including Spence, Esperanza, Mantos Blancos, El Tesoro, Lomas Bayas, Gabriela Mistral, El Abra, Radomiro Tomic, and Escondida, to name a few."

The European climate and energy framework for 2030 is highlighting the reduction of man-made CO2 by increasing the use of renewable energy. In this spirit, Germany has decided to erase coal use as an energy source by 2038 completely. This strategy premises a feasible, responsible and sustainable post-mining management. The Research Institute for Post-Mining (FZN) at the TH Georg Agricola University in Bochum, Germany, has developed a holistic approach to meet post-mining challenges. In all efforts, the FZN aims to achieve the fundamental goals of the United Nations to deal with the resources of our planet responsibly and sustainably.

During the last twenty years computers have be-come widely used to assist with the simulation and design of large scale, primary ventilation systems. However, to date there are few computer programs available to help with the modeling of auxiliary ventilation in dead-end headings or tunnels. This paper presents the results of the first year of a research and programming study dedicated to the development of a user-friendly duct simulation tool. Included is a literature review that summarises publications on duct leakage and resistance, on previous programs developed for the simulation of airflow in ducts, and case studies on extended ductlines in mines and tunnels. The methodology behind the development of Ductsim, a Windows based simulation program is presented.

Two types of airflow splitting methods for improving longwall dust control were investigated by NIOSH&apos;s Pittsburgh Research Laboratory. These methods included a translucent mesh barrier and a staged spray barrier system to confine the shearer-generated dust to the coal extraction side of the long wall face while maintaining a cleaner split of airflow on the opposing worker walkway side of the longwall face. The translucent mesh barrier was shown to provide notable dust control effectiveness up to 60 m downstream of the shearer in both the laboratory experiments and a long wall field evaluation, provided the mesh barrier remains relatively parallel to the airflow. The staged spray barrier system showed marginal dust control effectiveness in the laboratory and subsequently was not field tested.

This paper first discusses the physicochemical cleaning methods used to process fines followed by an analysis of the subprocesses of froth flotation and the adverse effects of slimes and particle oxidation. These subprocesses include the phenomena of interception, contact, adhesion and levitation. Preventive and corrective measures to combat the generation of fines and their effects are suggested. Preventive measures include controlled grinding, limited liberation, flotation at coarser sizes. Means of preventing oxidation and/or removing oxidation products are a1 so discussed. Corrective measure to increase recovery include intensive aeration, aggregation of particles, intensive mixing, increased retention time, and reduction of detachment. Measures leading to improves selectivity involve means to reduce slime coating, achieve selective mineralization of bubbles and minimize entrapment.

What is the primary function of an impact assessment? Many people at the International Association of Impact Assessment?s (IAIA) annual conference said that it is time to return to the fundamentals and consider the underlying drivers of impact assessments ? human health, safety and security. This fall, managers struggling with those fundamentals will receive extra support when a new course focusing on health and socially responsible security is launched online and in British Columbia, Canada, home to many of the world?s junior miners. Now in its 33rd year, the IAIA conference recently held in Calgary, Canada, typically brings together a range of professionals who work in the impact assessment field, including academics, as well as people conducting applied disciplines, such as social and environmental performance management. It is a chance for people grappling with how to assess impacts from projects (for example, dams, mining and other extractive projects), to compare notes and to talk about developments in how to measure, track and report on them. The comments about returning to fundamentals rose as participants talked about the ongoing and increasingly recognized divergence between three main impact assessment streams: environmental, social and health (EIA, SIA and HIA, respectively). Discussions in sessions and in the corridors included calls for streamlining, for integration, for improvement and sharing of practice ? particularly in the HIA stream, where those deeply engaged in the health discipline questioned how HIAs and their intended outcome of protecting human health can be better integrated into the EIAs or SIAs that dominate the impact assessment realm. EIAs and SIAs have become the main tool, particularly from a permitting perspective for large-scale mines, but seem to leave projects with little real information about what they need to do. Human health is not the only concern re-emerging. Although not reflected at the conference, there appears to be an emerging understanding of the need to link the determinants of health with socially responsible security practices. Companies conducting independent social performance assessments for international financial institutions based on the International Finance Corporation?s Environmental and Social Performance Standards increasingly wrestle with both community health and security issues as extractive companies encounter challenging social environments around the world. Once again, the intended outcome is to better protect human health, including avoiding health impacts from conflict, abuses and violence.

The A$29 billion Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project is one of Australia’s largest resource projects. Located at Ashburton North, 12 kilometers west of Onslow in Western Australia, the project will consist of two Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tons per annum and a domestic gas plant. The LNG Plant will serve the offshore gas fields, which are situated some 250 km off the coast of Onslow in Western Australia. Once operational and on-stream, the Wheatstone Project will contribute to Australia becoming the world’s second largest exporter of LNG. For crossing the environmentally sensitive shore area, a micro-tunnel with an internal diameter of 2 m and approx. 1,242 m in length has been constructed by means of the pipe-jacking method. The micro-tunnel will accommodate a 1.1 m diameter pipeline (trunkline) to deliver gas from the offshore fields LNG Plant. The Wheatstone shore crossing design involves a number of unique challenges owing to its coastal location, where the alignment crosses through a shore area and terminates in a marine environment. This paper provides an overview of the Wheatstone Shore Crossing Project, presents the key features, and discusses the main aspects of the micro-tunneling design.

Steady-state simulation has proved to be a very useful aid in designing new plants and optimizing existing ones. The algorithms and data definitions of existing simulators often, however, require a great deal of expertise for implementing a simulation-based methodology. The constraints imposed by conventional simulators are explained and the advantages of a new algorithm, the Objective-Driven Simulation, are shown. These advantages are a) an improvement in the simulation results, which enables simplifications of the methodologies used, and b) the possibility of taking into account economic objectives for plant operation, thus extending the range of application of steady-state simulation.

Ground falls (roof and rib) have historically been responsible for about 50% of all fatalities in bituminous underground coal mines. In some recent years, the number of ground fall fatalities has approached zero, indicating that significant progress has been made. On the other hand, last year?s Crandall Canyon twin mine disasters, in which 9 miners perished in violent coal bumps, provided a stark reminder that complacency is premature. One important success has been a great reduction in the number of miners killed inby roof supports. Throughout the 1990?s these accounted for nearly half of all roof fall fatalities, but there have just been two inby incidents in the past 5 years. Progress has also been made in pillar recovery. Safer mining technologies have reduced the number of fatal incidents, but some recent failures have underlined the need for careful management of the retreat mining process. On the other hand, more than 400 miners continue to be injured each year by rock falling from between supports, and 100 more are injured by rib falls. Together, these two categories also account for a large percentage of recent ground fall fatalities. Available technologies such as roof screen, rib bolting, and inside control roof bolters could dramatically reduce injury and fatality rates if they were used more widely. Further advances in these areas will likely be the next big advance in ground control safety. Despite limited discussion, Chemistry of Flotation is a good text and reference 1985 by M. C. Fuerstenau, J. D. Miller, and M. C. Kuhn Society of Mining Engineers Caller No. D Littleton, CO 80127 Softcover, $23.50 (member), $18.50 (student member), $28.50 (list) Review by Richard R. Klimpel Chemistry in Flotation, as stated by the authors, is intended as a textbook for students as well as a reference book for practicing flotation engineers. It covers subject matter related to surface phenomena; collectors and collector salts; natural floatability; the flotation of sulfide minerals, insoluble oxide and silicate minerals, semisoluble salts, and soluble salts; and slime coatings. There are no discussions in the book on practical plant implications of flotation chemistry, such as the influence of rate, particle size effects, dosage, flotation equipment, and methods of chemical addition. The book itself is small (only 177 pages), and, as published, is in an easy-to-handle soft cover. Once one accepts the intent of the authors, this book really does represent a very concise and convenient summary of the chemistry of flotation. It is, however, far from complete in its discussion of concepts and implications of data. Very often in the presentation, key prior knowledge (or at least subject matter awareness) not given in the book, is assumed. Thus, depending on one&apos;s familiarity with the specific subject matter, some sections can be easily followed while others could be tough going. Some of the discussion is so brief and terse on important subjects that unless the reader already realizes the meaning of the presentation, the conclusions to be drawn are not always clear. Therefore, if one is not expecting a self-contained primer on flotation chemistry, this book is very useful. To this end, the book is recommended to practitioners of flotation chemistry. The presentation of data in figures and tables is good. It helps considerably in the book achieving its conciseness. The authors certainly are qualified and knowledgeable in the subject matter - apparent in the style of presentation. In summary, this reviewer thoroughly enjoyed this book and will use it as a concise review of flotation chemistry. Richard R. Growth for magnesium metal is expected in the motor industry for use as a possible substitute for aluminum. Some magnesium producers are altering their marketing strategies to cultivate this market. This study also includes a review of the worldwide magnesium industry, its end uses and consumption, and international trade and price trends.

Many remnants of gold exploitation in the Middle Ages were found in the Lower Silesia region. The oldest evidence of such activity was found in the neighborhood of Zloty Stok and comes from the 7th century. Mining of precious and non-precious metal ores has a great relevance in the late Middle Ages when advanced metallurgic technologies were mastered, that allowed to obtain gold, silver, lead, copper, zinc and arsenic from complex ores occurring in the oldest middle part of Sudetes. Historically it concerned the area of the Swidnica Principality and Klodzko County. Experience obtained in Freiberg, which is located close to the Lower Silesia, was used in the development of mining. A high level of mining and metallurgic technology was obtained in the 15th century that caused significant increase of production of the metals mentioned above. Unfortunately, the good time of Lower Silesian mining lasted only up to the 18th century; the notion of preservation of cultural heritage was unknown at that time. The Lower Silesian medieval mines were not in such a fortunate situation as the ?Wieliczka? and ?Bochnia? mines, which are operating to present-day, and which made preservation of the most interesting headings and objects possible. All these objects are now available for visitors. However, in the case of the middle Sudetes it seems that it is often sufficient to localize old shafts and headings on the basis of careful observations and old maps and carry out some earthwork to uncover medieval headings and objects of underground mining activity. They are often preserved in amazingly good state; this also pertains to mining devices. Another issue is of course the permanent preservation of that heritage and its possible availability for re-searchers and tourists. Some success has been achieved in that field (Zloty Stok Gold Mine is a good example), but also problems were encountered in many cases. The Lower Silesian Coal Basin, which has not been exploited for 10 years is an evidence that there is not a holistic conception of mining heritage renovation. Many attractive mining objects disappeared irrecoverably from the mountainous landscape of the Middle Sudetes despite common consciousness of their significance for cultural development of Silesia and other regions.

Each year, US coal cleaning plants landfill or impound millions of tons of high-quality, fine-sized coal. This coal is not only difficult and expensive to capture during cleaning, but, if captured, can pose serious materials handling problems. The GranuFlow. Technology was developed and patented by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to address these problems. GranuFlow involves the addition of a coal binding agent such as an asphalt or heavy oil emulsion to coal to reduce moisture, dusting, and freezing and to improve the flow properties of the coal in bins and chutes (1, 2, and 3). When the emulsion is added before mechanical dewatering, the binding agent causes the formation of fine-sized coal agglomerates that dewater better than untreated coal. In addition, the binding agent increases the capture of ultra-fine coal in screen-bowl centrifuges. Previous work by DOE has also demonstrated that such treatment results in a significant reduction in dustiness and a reduced potential to freeze. To address concerns about the handling and combustion characteristics of GranuFlow treated coal, DOE performed a pilot-scale pulverization and combustion test (4). No problems were encountered during pulverization or combustion, and use of this fuel in a p.c. boiler was found to be feasible from a technical perspective. CQ Inc. has an exclusive license from DOE to market this technology and is currently performing a series of commercial demonstrations to determine if GranuFlow is both technically and economically viable.

The International Tunneling Association (ITA) Working Group (WG) 22 “Information Modelling in Tunneling” has developed a guideline for the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts for Bored Tunneling Projects. The guideline primarily covers the use of BIM during the conceptual and delivery phases of a project. It provides Owners with an introduction to BIM, an overview of the current capabilities of BIM, and a guide for implementation for a Bored Tunnel. The document will be officially published at the World Tunnel Congress (WTC) in Copenhagen in 2022. This paper describes the need for the guideline and provides a preview of its contents.

The Underground Research Laboratory (URL) , a major geotechnical research facility, is currently being developed by Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) , 120 km northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The URL is part of the Canadian Nuclear Fuel Waste Management Program, which is assessing the concept of nuclear fuel waste disposal in a vault deep in stable plutonic rock of the Canadian Shield (Simmons, 1986). Comprehensive geotechnical research and development activities are being carried out in conjunction with excavation? and construction of the underground facilities.

"Researchers at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) are investigating the unique pillar stability issues associated with room-and-pillar mining in dipping underground stone mines. The objective of this paper is to study the post-blast impact in and around a pillar, using microseismic monitoring. To accomplish this, a microseismic monitoring system has been installed at a dipping underground stone mine in central Pennsylvania. The microseismic system is comprised of 18 uniaxial accelerometers; 12 sensors are installed in a single pillar and 6 sensors are installed in the surrounding area. More than 4,400 microseismic events have been located near the study pillar following the blasts. The number of triggers increased significantly following the blast, and the trigger rate in the first five minutes was 60 triggers per minute and three triggers per minute over the next three hours. The processing of high-quality triggers indicated a large number of low magnitude microseismic events near the blasting face. The event locations were identified more accurately by using a 3D-velocity model, with an average 9 m expected location accuracy for this array calculated using the system data. Seismicity was absent from the core of the pillar, but significant numbers of events were found following cutter roof along a crosscut as it was developed as well as in the location of a rib failure event. Additionally, the events were located in the roof, showing high number of microseismic events within 0–10 m of the roof line compared to 10–30 m above the roof line.INTRODUCTIONGround control stability is essential to any mining operation for ensuring mineworker safety and health and preventing catastrophic failures of underground structures. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has conducted research in stone pillar design and has established fundamental pillar design guidelines for the underground stone industry, which resulted in the development of the S-Pillar program (Esterhuizen et al., 2011; Esterhuizen and Murphy, 2018). However, the data that makes up the S-Pillar database consists of shallow depth, flat-lying, single-level mining operations. Therefore, to expand this dataset and to develop guidelines for challenging conditions such as dipping and multi-level mines, NIOSH is currently conducting detailed pillar response investigations at mines with these characteristics. The study is being conducted using multiple research approaches, including seismic modeling and tomography, numerical modeling (Sears et al., 2019), stress monitoring, and LiDAR-based laser scanning (Slaker, Murphy, and Winfield, 2019). The tide has turned. Developments in China that have continued to unfold over the last four years or so have now reached a point where the supply market dynamics of certain industrial minerals have changed significantly. No more is this sea change better exemplified than by the supply market for magnesite, and in particular, its processed derivative grades of dead burned magnesia (DBM), caustic calcined magnesia (CCM), and fused magnesia (FM). But what has compounded the barrage of influencing factors impacting this sector, which include the widespread effects of energy and freight cost increases, has been rising demand from certain end use markets. Clearly, the magnesia market is experiencing bittersweet conditions. But those western producers which have monitored and responded to this market transformation, stand to taste success in the near and medium future. REVOLUTION IN WORLD SUPPLY STATUS In essence, while China, as host to a wealth of magnesite resources in Liaoning province, remains a huge producer of magnesia, its supply dominance on the global magnesia market has been considerably weakened. In future, it will mainly aim to supply domestic, and to some extent east Asian markets. Magnesia consumers outside China are now scrabbling for alternative, ?western? sources of supply. At the same time, magnesia producers outside China that weathered the storm of low cost Chinese DBM and FM imports flooding their regional markets for the last 20 years (and many did not), are busy investing in production capacity increases to meet not just demand from falling Chinese supply, but also demand from end use markets which is picking up. And it is not just a matter of expanding capacity of existing magnesia product lines. In the face of plentiful lower cost DBM and FM substitutes from China over the last couple of decades, many western magnesia producers started to switch their focus to the non-refractory markets (eg. environmental, specialities) which promised lucrative opportunities (and still do) and crucially, a lessening of sales revenue dependence on the DBM refractories market. Now we have the likes of Baymag (Canada), Bommag (Serbia/Turkey), and Kumas (Turkey) not only expanding capacities but seriously considering diversifying into DBM and FM production. Perhaps DSP (Israel), having ceased its famous high purity DBM activity as recently as 2005, might even reconsider a return to the ?other side?. But it?s not all DBM and FM. The CCM and specialities markets are also demanding a response, and so Baymag, DSP, Martin Marietta (USA), Premier Chemicals (USA), Qmag (Australia), MGR (Spain), and Magnifin (Austria) are also stepping up to the market on the non-refractory side. From most accounts, the situation with regard to Chinese supply has been described as one of turmoil, with prices rising, leading to improving opportunities for western producers. The majors are conducting huge expansion programmes, such as Qmag, Magnezit (Russia), and the new look Magnesita (Brazil). Even smaller players such as Causmag (Australia) and Dalmia (India) are looking to increase production. In short, the western magnesia supply sector is witnessing a landmark event in capacity investment and market share penetration as China?s previously dominant role begins to weaken (for a review of western capacity expansions see Industrial Minerals, September 2008, p.28). MERGER & ACQUISITION ACTIVITY Another response of course has been a raft of mergers and acquisitions in order to secure resources and supply outside China. These have included private equity groups taking over Magnesita and Qmag; Imerys entering the FM business through UCM; Peñoles further consolidating the electrical grade FM market by acquiring Minco; Martin Marietta acquiring Morton Salt?s Specialty Magnesia Group; Bomex entering the market through Calmag (now Bommag); LWB acquiring Magnesita; and Magnezit?s pursuit of Slovakian magnesia, with Slovmag aboard while currently wooing SMZ. Interestingly, RHI has gone ?the other way?, and has invested in a state of the art joint venture operation at Dashiqiao, Liaoning, with which it aims to secure high quality feedstock for its Chinese refractory plants. Tata Refractories Ltd has announced intentions to follow suit, and other majors, such as Qmag are known to be interested in seeking options. Naturally, there is now renewed interest from several parties in the idled 50,000 tpa DBM/10,000 CCM Jormag facility, Jordan, and the commercially undeveloped Zhargat project, Saudi Arabia. Elsewhere, there will no doubt be suitors for stakes in SMZ, in Slovakia, and Magnohrom, in Serbia, whose respective ownerships are on the block. THE ?CHINA FACTOR? The ?China factor? has been key to magnesia?s market change, and has significantly influenced prices and availability of material to global markets. Resources & production China hosts the largest share of the world?s magnesite deposits, accounting for 26% or 3,319m. tonnes of predominantly sparry magnesite (followed by North Korea, 24%, and Russia, 22%; Wilson 2008). China accounts for 44% of total world magnesite mined (19m. tonnes in 2007) and 50% of the total world magnesia produced (8.2m. tonnes CCM, DBM, FM; Wilson 2008). Russia follows China at 13% of magnesia supply, illustrating China?s dominance of magnesia production. Apart from one producer in Shandong province, central eastern China, the country?s magnesite resources and production are concentrated around the cities of Haicheng and Dashiqiao in Liaoning province, north-east China. Although there are also producers in the Xiuyan district of south-east Liaoning, the Haicheng-Dashiqiao Magnesite Belt hosts the majority of producers. In total these may number 200-300 of large,
