"This paper describes the development and some typical applications of Wemco's large-capacity flotation machines, the No. 120 and the No. 144, with volumes of 300 and 500 cubic feet, respectively. During the 1960's, it became obvious that low-grade orebodies would be mined at high tonnage rates - plants and grinding mills would be larger, which would create a demand for larger flotation equipment. To meet this demand, Wemco developed a single-mechanism, 300-cubicfoot cell, having five times the volume of the standard No. 66 cell. The average production rate of the No. 66 cell on porphyry copper ore was 100 tpd per cell; and it was our intention that the No. 120 (300-cu. ft) cell would handle 500 tpd per cell, with at least equal metallurgical results and power consumption per ton. The success and industry acceptance of the No. 120 cell has since led to the development of a larger cell, the No. 144, having a volume of 500 cubic feet."

"Chalcopyrite, a major source of copper, is commonly found associated with iron sulfides, particularly pyrite. The separation of chalcopyrite and pyrite by flotation is difficult due to the galvanic interactions between pyrite and chalcopyrite during grinding and flotation. Galvanic interactions may cause oxidation and dissolution of chalcopyrite, copper activation of pyrite and the formation of hydrophilic iron hydroxide coating. The overall effect may change the floatability of the components and lead to the misplacement of pyrite into chalcopyrite concentrate. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of lignosulfonate-based biopolymers on the depression of pyrite in the flotation of chalcopyrite with xanthate as collector and the mechanism responsible for the selective depression of pyrite. The flotation results showed that biopolymers depressed the flotation of both copper-activated pyrite and chalcopyrite in single mineral flotation although to different extents. In the flotation of mixed mineral systems, biopolymers significantly depressed pyrite flotation but had a less influence on chalcopyrite flotation. The selective depression of pyrite by biopolymers was due to the preferential adsorption of biopolymers on copper-activated pyrite surface. Galvanic interactions between pyrite and chalcopyrite surfaces promoted copper activation on pyrite. Presence of cuprous ions on pyrite surface favored biopolymer adsorption by the formation of a complex between the cuprous ions and biopolymer molecules. The same galvanic interactions also facilitated chalcopyrite oxidation leading to the formation of hydrophobic polysulfide that enhanced the hydrophobicity on chalcopyrite surface. The biopolymer structure controlled the depression effect. The results showed that the biodegradable biopolymers are promising depressants for pyrite.INTRODUCTIONCopper sulfide minerals, such as chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), bornite (Cu5FeS4), chalcocite (Cu2S) and covellite (CuS), are the major mineral source for copper. They are often found finely interlocked with iron sulfides, especially pyrite (FeS2) (Owusu, Brito e Abreu, Skinner, Addai-Mensah, & Zanin, 2014). Pyrite, as the most abundant sulfide mineral, is perceived as gangue in most cases and should be removed from the associated sulfides to minimize its contamination of the copper concentrate (Owusu, Addai-Mensah, Fornasiero, & Zanin, 2013; Wang & Forssberg, 1991). The commonly used strategy to remove pyrite is flotation (Wang & Forssberg, 1991)."

"The 1994 Quebec Budget included a significant overhaul of the mining duties sys-tem in that province: broadening the base and lowering the rate, all in the name of “ensuring the integrity of the taxation system"" and ""enabling the State to collect fair compensation "". The reforms hit hardest on the small, lightly-capitalized producer, by repealing the basic annual exemption, limiting the refund for losses, and significantly reducing the investment and processing allowances. There is some relief provided in the form of faster depreciation rates and a lower nominal tax rate, but the thrust of the overhaul is clear -higher taxes on the mining sector.IntroductionAlthough Quebec's mining tax regime represents under 10J0 of the province's revenue base, and was significantly reformed in 1979 and 1985, the May 13, 1994, provincial budget introduced further significant changes to the Mining Duties Act, The hope (on the part of the province) is to reduce the provincial ""subsidy"" for mining by $20 mil· lion per year by 1996."

"Starting from fundamental principles of colloid-hydrodynamic theory of disperse systems we have shown that application of strongly non-uniform hydrodynamic fields allows to achieve not only faster rates of flocculation of suspension, but also supports significant improvements in the quality of clarified water and separation characteristics of solid phase. Specifically, it has been experimentally proven that the new treatment method based on these principles (then termed as ""ultra-flocculation"") allows:•,Increase the output of thickeners and pressure filters by 1,5-1,7 times;•,Decrease solids fall through into the filtrate in the process of vacuum filtration by 2¬3,5 times;•,Improve the rate of purification of water phase in the upright thickener by 1,5-1,9 times;•,Decrease flocculant consumption by 1,5-3 times;•,Increase the effective operational life time of cloth filters by 3-4 times;•,Ensure sustainable operation of separation equipment, i.e. decrease the sensitivity of process to variation in suspension concentration, as well as to variations of suspension composition and dispersion characteristics;•,Apply flocculant solutions of concentration 2-3 times higher, thus increasing the capacity of equipment used for solutions preparation."

"The Edmonton region accounted for 40% of Alberta's sand and gravel production in 1981 (about 12 million m3). Most of this production was by commercial operations (75%) for use in essential public works projects (64% in road and asphalt production).Although the Alberta Geological Survey delineated 1157 million m3 of gravel, a number of areas are considered to be in short supply. An econometric model was used for forecast demand in the region. Predictions, based on this forecast and estimated supply, are that 15% of the region's gravel and 3% of the sand will be consumed by the year 2010.The City of Edmonton is the largest consumer of aggregate in the region. Approximately 40% of the gravel in Edmonton's current supply area (about 55 km radius) will be used by 2010. These estimates are considered optimistic because the supply figures do not account for sterilization of deposits - some has already taken place in the region. If 25% to 50% of Edmonton's current supplies (one major deposit) were sterilized it would result in $1,000 million of additional cost due to increased haulage alone.Information on the value of aggregate resources, the location of sand and gravel deposit s and forecast demand has been made available to all municipalities in the region to aid planners and regulators in effective future use of this important resource.INTRODUCTIONAlberta is the second largest producer of sand and gravel in Canada at ab out 50 million tonnes annually. Value of provincial production exceeded $120 million in 1985. In Albert a, aggregate is used primarily in road and building construction (about 50% and 15%, respectively) and is important in such activities as petroleum exploration, oil sands development and the forestry industry.The Edmonton region (Fig. I) accounts for about 40% of provincial production and has a per capita consumption rate of about 13.4 m3 of sand and gravel per annum. Although Edmonton dominates, with approximately 50% of regional production going into the city, aggregate is produced in every county and municipal district in the region.Sand and gravel is essential to the current way of life in the Edmonton region. The resource is valuable and dwindling. The Alberta Geological Survey (a department of the Alberta Research Council) has collected information on aggregate in this region for the last decade which ca n aid government planners and regulators in pre venting sterilization and misallocation of this critical resource. This paper is a summary of that information."

Abstract - The Archean Superior Province craton and the Paleoproterozoic Penokean Orogen are major geological sub-divisions of the southern Canadian Shield and account for much of the metallic mineral production of North America. The Superior Province experienced a mainly Archean history involving several cycles of volcanism, plutonism, and tectonism, primarily in the Neo-archean but also including Meso-archean and Paleo-archean cycles as well. Superior Province consists of northern and southern high-grade gneiss sub-provinces and a broad central region of alternating greenstone-granite and metasedimentary belts. The sub-provinces may represent tectonic terranes assembled in the Archean by accretion processes similar to those of some Phanerozoic orogens. Most of the mineral deposits, including VMS, intrusion-related, and lode gold deposits occur in the greenstone- granite sub-provinces where they were formed in an interval of 100 million years or less around 2.7 Ga. The Paleoproterozoic Penokean Orogen comprises supracrustal sequences deposited in fault-controlled epicratonic and rifted margin settings developed on and about the Superior craton. Deposition of the ~2.4 Ga Huronian Supergroup and its paleoplacer uranium deposits in the eastern Penokean Orogen, and their pre-2.2 Ga deformation, were probably unrelated to the deposition of the ~2.1 Ga Marquette Range and Animikie groups and their major taconite iron formations in the west. However, these sequences were deformed together during the ~1.85 Ga Penokean Orogeny which resulted when an assembly of island arcs containing VMS deposits, the Wisconsin magmatic terrane, collided with the Superior block and its Paleoproterozoic cover. The Sudbury structure with its world class Ni-Cu-PGE ores was also formed at this time, possibly triggered by meteorite impact. Metallogenic patterns in the Paleoproterozoic rocks were controlled by a complex interplay of factors including tectonically controlled variations in deposition and deformation, distribution of mineralization in the Archean basement, and oxyatmoversion, the transition from anoxic to oxygenic atmospheric conditions that occurred during the deposition of these sequences.

It is well known that underground miners are exposed to one of the most dangerous working environments on earth. As mine delve deeper, the geological factor, mine position and climate condition as well as heat generation from mining machine give rise to the mine operating temperature. This, in turn, has an adverse effect on the environment and thus leads to higher operating costs. Careful estimation and design of air flow rate, spray system, cooling load and additional ventilation auxiliary equipment are of importance to ensure safety, comfort and productivity whilst maintaining low operating cost. A computational fluid dynamics simulation approach is employed to examine underground mine ventilation in a 36 m cul-de-sac of tunnel of coal mine. The model predictions in the turbulent range were validated by comparison with published data. Different turbulence models were tested to select one that yields adequate accuracy and is computationally efficient. Effects of the following parameters are evaluated: tunnel geometry, air flow rate and inlet air temperature. The objective of the simulation is to arrive at an optimal strategy for ventilation and thermal comfort at low cost.

"The mechanical aspects of cable bolt failure are considered from the point of view of properties of grout and cable, as well as of the rock in which it is anchored. The results from recent investigations made in-situ as well as in the lab are combined and presented with reference to other work done in the area. An attempt is made to stimulate the thinking along these lines so as to initiate further research which may enhance the design of cable bolting as it applied to mining operations.IntroductionIn the past twelve year s systematic cable bolting has found application in many areas. In civil engineering rock anchors have been used to provide tension at the heel of a dam permitting the reduction of its cross section. They have been used in retaining walls to reduce construction time and costs by eliminating the need for struts and braces which complicate pouring the foundation walls. It is also possible to use rock anchors in providing reactions where tall buildings are subjected to uplift on one side due to wind forces. Cantilever bridges may be constructed by implementing rock anchors to provide anchorage requirements. Anchorage piles or dolphins or mooring ships have also been built using these. In the mining area rock anchors, commonly known as cable bolts because they are made of hoist cable may be implemented in the reinforcement of hanging walls or to retain rock slopes.In order to sustain de-pressurized ground where rock separation developed along the pressure arches, cable bolts were utilized at the Tsumeb Mine in South-West Africa and also at the Strathcona Mine in Sudbury, Ontario, In both places old degreased hoist ropes were installed in downholes from crosscuts above a given stope and then grouted without tensioning. Jeremic and Cassidy described the use of cable bolts to increase hanging wall stability and postpone fracturing, in addition to producing pre-support for improvement of stope back stability."

"LocationThe Key Lake operation of Cameco Corporation is located at latitude 57°N in northern Saskatchewan, within the southem boundary of the Athabasca formation. The nearest city is LaRonge, located 240 km to the south. Access to the mine is by all-weather road and by private airstrip.Description of OperationThe mill was designed to produce twelve million pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8) a year from a feed grade of 2.4% U3O8. Current production is fourteen million pounds from 2.0% feed.Following grinding, the uranium is leached using sulphuric acid and oxygen in autoclaves. An eight thickener counter current decantation (CCD) circuit is used to separate the uranium-bearing solution from the solid waste residue. The uranium in solution is further purified in a solvent extraction circuit. The purified uranium is then precipitated using ammonia, calcined at 840°C, and packaged in drums for shipping to refineries. There is a crystallization circuit to recover excess ammonium sulphate produced in the process, and a waste treatment circuit.HistoryUranerz Exploration and Mining discovered the Gaertner and Deilmann orebodies in 1975 and 1976, respectively. Between 1975 and 1977, Uranerz conducted laboratory studies and delineated a process for the Key Lake ore known as the ""Bonn process."" In 1977, Sherritt Gordon Mines Ltd. was retained to conduct further studies in cooperation with U ranerz. The technical feasibility of the Bonn process was generally confirmed. Howeve1~ alternative processing methods also appeared feasible, and over the period 1978-1979, a detailed research and development program was conducted to finalize the processes to be used and to provide data for design of the plant."

In 1966, the Iron Ore Company of Canada commissioned a wet magnetic scavanging plant for the recovery of fine magnetite values p.resent in spiral tailings discharged from a spiral gravity separation process. The plant includes dewatering, grinding, classification, thickening, mini-wedge screening, and primary, secondary and tertiary wet magnetic separation stages. The source of feed varies in quantity and quality, so the original design included variable operational procedures to deal with these conditions.

"L'Abitibi québécois a produit essentiellement de l’or, du cuivre, du zinc et de I' argent, ainsi que de faibles quantités de nickel, de plomb, de molybdène, de bismuth, de lithium, de fer et d’amiante. Depuis l’ouverture de la mine Horne en 1927, cent-cinquante mines ont contribué à la production de 1 420 tonnes d’or de 4,1 millions de tonnes de cuivre et de 4,7 millions de tonnes de zinc. Les productions minières annuelles ont été d'importance variable: des records de production ont été établis en 1955 pour I' or avec 35 tonnes et, vers 1965, pour le cuivre, le zinc et la quantile globale de minerai extrait avec respectivement 130,000, 275 000 et 13 millions de tonnes. Deux dépressions généralisées ont eu lieu, l’une vers 1946 et l'autre, a lafin des années soixante-dix. Des ralentissements de la production ont été observes pour le cuivre en 1953 et le zinc en 1959. Depuis le debut des années quatre-vingt. I' or et, de façon plus irreguliere, le zinc sont en progression, landis que le cuivre, malgre une hausse en 1983. pour suit son dec/in.La teneur de récupération des mines d’or est demeurée régulière et n’a subi qu’une faible diminution au cours des quarante dernières années. Célie du cuivre a diminué d'environ 50% dans la même période, landis que celle du zinc a subi d’import antes variations, aussi bien positives que négatives. Près des trois quarts des mines d'or ont une durée de vie inférieure à 12 ans et la distribution des tonnages de minerai extrait montre un maximum pour la classe de 100 000 à 1 million de tonnes. Du cote des mines de métaux de base, la durée de vie est plus étalée et les volumes de minerai ont une occurrence maximale dans la classe de 1 à 10 millions de tonnes.Concernant la distribution géographique de la production minière dans l'Abitibi québécois, le camp minier de Rouyn-Noranda vient en tête pour l’extraction de minerai et la production d’or et de cuivre. L’est sui vi par le camp de Val d'Or pour le minerai et l’or, landis que le camp de Chapais-Chibougamau occupe la deuxième place pour le cuivre avec une production équivalence a 60% de celle de Rouyn-Noranda. Le camp de Cadillac-Malartic suit de tres pres celui de Val d'Or pour ce qui est de I' or. Finalement, dans le casdu zinc, le camp minier de Joutel-Matagami domine largement avec une production qui a connu un développement accélère depuis 1963. Une analyse pré liminaire de ces données indique qu' i/ subsiste unpotentiel encore élevé de production d'or, décuivre et de zinc dans I' Abitibi québécois. ABSTRACTThe Quebec portion of the Abitibi belt has essentially produced gold, copper, zinc and silver, as well as some small quantities of nickel, lead, molybdenum, bismuth, lithium, iron and asbestos. Since the opening of the Horne mine in 1927, one hundred and fifty mines have produced 1420 tons of gold, 4,1 millions tons of copper and4,7 millions tons of zinc. Annual mine production has fluctuated: production records were established in 1955 for gold with 35 tons, and around 1965 for all extracted ore copper and zinc with respectively 13 millions, 130 000 and 275 000 tons. Two main recessions have occurred, the first around 1946 and the second during the late seventies. Cut backs in copper and zinc production occurred in 1953 and1959. Since the beginning of the eighties, gold production and to a lesser extent zinc production have been in progression. Except for a small jump in 1983, copper production is still declining.The average recuperation grade of gold mines has been quite steady and has only slightly diminished in the past forty years. The average copper recuperation grade was halved during the same time interval. For zinc there have been important ups and downs. At least three quarters of gold mines have an average lifespan of 12 years the tonnage distribution shows a peak in the 100 000 to 1 million tons class. Base metals mines show a more widespread life expectancy and have a tonnage peak in the 1 to 10 millions tons range"

"IN 1975, Nova Scotia produced 1.8 million tons of coal with a FOB mine value of $47.6 million. Of this total, about 30 per cent or 600,000 tons was coking coal and the remainder was steam and industrial-grade coal. The Nova Scotia Power Corporation consumed 630,000 tons in three generating stations and 570,000 tons were sold to Sydney Steel for making coke for its steel operations. Exports, principally to Great Britain, comprised 370,000 tons in 1975 in addition to the 300,- 000 tons shipped to other provinces for use by cement and pulp and paper companies. In 1975, just over 100,000 tons of coking coal were imported into the province from Alberta. Before 1975, low-volatile coking coal was traditionally obtained from the United States. In 1975, production came from seven individual mines and one project involving reclamation from mine dumps in Pictou County. Of the seven producers, four are owned by the Cape Breton Development Corporation, a federal Crown corporation; the remaining three are small independent mines, but, even though small, they are sizeable contributors to the economies of their local areas. After 101 years of continuous operation, Devco's Princess mine was closed in 1975. The Nova Scotia coal industry, in terms of value, accounted for about half of total mineral production in 1975. The industry provides jobs for 3,000 men and women. It is also significant that in 1975 Nova Scotia produced about 6.5 per cent of Canada's total coal production of 28.3 million tons. Current industrial compacting and briquetting practices are largely based on trial-and¬error techniques. This paper introduces a two dimensional finite element model of compacting/briquetting process in the roller press. Compared with other modeling techniques used in the past, finite element method offers the most versatile approach because it incorporates adequate information about powder behavior, geometry and frictional conditions and offers predictions for the density distribution, velocity field, stress distribution, roll force, roll torque and other important process variables. More over, when the model includes elasticity, it offers predictions on the internal stress state in the briquet after its exit from the pressing zone. This enables to perform realistic computer experiments which are helpful for establishing the pressing system design, forming cavity geometry and process conditions necessary to produce compacted or briquetted product with the desired properties.

"The history and analysis of a structurally complex open-pit rock slope displacement are described. The failure involved part of the only haulage access to a major ore zone. The ongoing movement was monitored using an electronic distance measuring device and a continuous electronic system specifically designed for the problem. A major fault, infilled with a thick clay gouge, and intersected by other structural features, resulted in the transfer of weight to a rock mass acting as a buttress in the lower regions. Movements were affected by blasting vibrations and ground-water conditions. Remedial measures included limiting blasting levels and lowering the water table, following which mining was successfully resumed in the area.IntroductionBrenda Mines is situated in a mountainous region of the southern interior of British Columbia; the location is indicated on Figure 1 . The elevation is approximately 5000 ft , giving a climate typical of more northern areas. Temperatures vary from -30°C to + 30°C. A snowfall level of 400-800 cm is experienced from November to April. During the spring, a heavy runoff period occurs, increasing the pumping rate in the pit from a nominal 50* gal/min to 2000 gal/min.The orebody occurs in a fractured Jurassic rock mass referred to as the Brenda Stock; it is approximately 3000 ft in diameter and 1000 ft deep. The Brenda Stock was intruded into the Upper Triassic Nicola Group tuffs, breccias and argillites. Mineralization occurred in several stages in a relatively homogeneous quartz diorite host rock. Shearing, faulting and jointing occured later in many stages, producing mineralized clay gouge zones up to several feet in thickness'> , These gouge zones have a major effect on the stability of the pit walls.The structural geology of the pit walls is otherwise relatively simple. Figure 2 is a conventional pole diagram indicating the orientation of the rock structural systems which are present. The major system has an average dip of approximately 70 degrees to the south and strikes approximately east /west , it is not undercu t by the pit slope. Figure 3 is a photograph of part of the North wall on which this system is indicated.The basic pit design consists of a working bench height of 50 ft, with a final wall height of 100 ft between berm s and a 100-ft-wide berm every second lift. Combined with a local face slope of 50-70 degrees, the resulting wall slope, not including haulage roads, is 45 degrees. Figures 4 and 5 are generalized plans and sectional views of the pit."

"Goldcorp is evaluating the potential for economic reprocessing of historic tailings at several sites, including the Aunor A facility located in Timmins. The overall project is investigating the ability to recover value, remove sulphide minerals and alternative tailings re-deposition strategies. Desulphurization of tailings will eliminate potential acid generation while improved tailings re-deposition could reduce long-term liabilities and closure costs. Through a task-share project between CanmetMINING and Goldcorp, tailings obtained from Aunor A site have been characterized using mineral association analysis and diagnostic separation techniques. The selected tailing samples contain about 2 g/t of gold. Mineralogical analysis has identified coarse agglomerates bound with gypsum and significant free gold, confirmed by high recoveries in cyanide leach tests. However, despite no evidence of surface passivation on the minerals, conventional flotation techniques were found to be ineffective in concentrating gold or sulphides due to the high fines content and highly agglomerated particles.INTRODUCTION Aunor Mine is one of the historic mines that belongs to Porcupine Gold Mines (PGM) in Timmins, Ontario. PGM has undertaken an extensive mine closure program to remediate the legacy and closed mines with the funding supported by operating mines since 2006. Over the course of 100 years of operation in the Porcupine camp, it is estimated (Stevens et al., 2013) that about 130 million tonnes of tailings have been generated. Aunor Mine produced 2.5 million troy ounces of gold between 1940 and 1984, while processing over 7.6 million tons of ore. The original gold grade of Aunor Mine ores was about 10 g/t. With 95% gold recovery at the time, an estimate of 0.5 g/t of gold remains in the Aunor Mine tailings. Aunor Mine has two tailings impoundment areas: designated as Aunor A and Aunor B. The two sites are similar in size, about 7 hectares each. The amount of tailings in the Aunor A site alone is about 3.2 million tonnes. In 2017, bulk tailings were sampled from five designated locations in Aunor A. They were characterized using mineral association analysis and diagnostic separation techniques. The bulk tailings samples contained about 10% total sulphur, 10% iron, 2% arsenic and 2 g/t of gold. The prime objective of this collaborative work between CanmetMINING and Goldcorp is to facilitate the timely development and deployment of innovative tailings reprocessing solutions, specifically in the areas of desulphurization, and recovery of metals. This work targeted specific tailings of interest to Goldcorp which goals are to improve its environmental footprint and to reduce long-term liability. Thus, it is imperative to look for innovative reprocessing options that can overcome not only technological challenges but also achieve economic benefits to offset the costs associated with reprocessing the tailings. PACIFIC PETROLEUMS, Ltd. first discovered commercial quantities of gas in the Peace River area in 1952. Development of gas wells in this area is quite ex-pensive due to low penetration rates. To improve the economics, the potential of the wells in many cases had to be increased. At that time, well stimulation was still in its infancy in Canada and in this area, in particular, no treatment of any consequence had been attempted. Therefore, trial-and-error was the only means available to determine the stimulating technique that would give optimum results. Various fluid treatments were available and these were used wherever the application was warrant-ed. This paper covers acid fracture and explosive treatments as carried out on various gas-bearing horizons.

"An experimental study was carried out to evaluate the performance of column flotation versus conventional flotation for the recovery of molybdenite from a Newfoundland ore. The objective was to verify the claims made by the inventors of the flotation column, Messrs. Pierre Boutin and Remi Tremblay, that their apparatus reduces the entrainment of fine gangue and other mineral impurities in the froth product. The research included a factorially designed series of tests to determine satisfactory operating conditions of the column. These provided a basis for comparative flotation tests with column and Denver cells. In the course of the work, the action of a few depressants was studied. Results indicated greater selectivity in the column and reduced reagent consumption."

This paper deals with the nickel smelter and refinery concepts Outokumpu has applied at Harjavalta and several other plants. Also other process routes and modifications developed and tested by Outokumpu during the recent years are highlighted. Outokumpu started nickel production in Harjavalta in 1959. Until 1995 the Flash Smelting - Peirce-Smith (PS) converting route was applied. High grade nickel matte from the converting step was further refined by means of leaching and electrowinning to produce cathode nickel. In 1995 the nickel production capacity was increased from 17 000 t/a to 52 000 t/a based on the Direct Outokumpu Nickel Smelting Process (DON). In the DON process PS converting is eliminated and high grade nickel matte with low Fe-content is directly produced in the flash smelting furnace (FSF). Metal values from the smelting slag are recovered in the electric furnace (EF) as iron containing Ni-matte. The DON process can be operated with either two matte concept, where high grade FSF matte and EF matte are produced, or a single matte concept, where EF matte is recycled to the smelting furnace and thus only one type of high grade matte is obtained. The additional refinery capacity at Harjavalta is based on hydrogen reduction producing.
