We have conducted a stress analysis of overcoring stress measurements undertaken at the Zedex Test Site (ZTS) in the Äspö HRL, Sweden. Two different types of overcoring cells have been used at the site: the 9-gauge Borre Probe (CSIR-type) and the 12-gauge CSIRO HI cell. Inversion programs based on the least-squares criterion were developed and calibrated. The primary and secondary stress field in the ZTS were back-calculated using strain data from individual cells as well as from combining data from both cells. We propose that the combination of strain data from the two cells significantly improves the determination of the stress field. A striking result is the good agreement between the re-analysed overcoring data and the existing hydraulic fracturing data. The deviations for the horizontal stresses between the re-analyzed overcoring data and the existing hydraulic fracturing data are approximately 3 MPa. The deviation in the orientation of maximum horizontal stress is approximately 10-20°. Nous avons analysé les résultats de mesures de contrainte par surcarottage réalisées sur le site Zedex, du laboratoire souterrain HRL d’Aspö, en suède. Deux types de cellule de mesure ont été utilisés sur ce site : la cellule à 9 jauges (du type CSIR) et la cellule à 12 jauges (du type CSIRO HI). Un programme d’inversion mettant en œuvre une norme par moindres carrés a été développé et validé. Les champs de contrainte primaires et secondaires du site Zedex ont été évalués d’une part en considérant chaque mesure isolément, d’autre part en intégrant l’ensemble des données de déformation dans une inversion unique. Nos résultats suggèrent que l‘association des diverses mesures dans une intégration unique améliore nettement la détermination du champ de contrainte. Un résultat intéressant est le bon accord entre ces nouveaux résultats et les résultats des mesures par fracturation hydraulique. Les écarts sur l’amplitude des contraintes horizontales est de l’ordre de 3 Mpa, les écarts sur les orientations de l’ordre de 10-20°. Auf dem Zedex Test Gelände im Äspö Festgesteinslabor (HRL) wurde eine Spannungsanalyse mittels Overcoring Spannungsmessungen durchgeführt. Hierzu wurden zwei verschiedene Methoden verwendet: das 9-kanal Borre Gerät (CSIR- Ausführung) und die 12-Kanal CSIRO HI Zelle. Inversionsprogramme, die auf dem “least-squares”- Kriterium basieren, wurden entwickelt und kalibriert. Das primäre und sekundäre Spannungsfeld des Zedex Test Geländes wurde sowohl aus Verformungsdaten individueller Zellen als auch aus Kombination beider Zellen ermittelt. Wir nehmen an, daß die Kombination der Messergebnisse beider Geräte die Bestimmung des Spannungsfeldes signifikant verbessert. Überzeugender Beweis hierfür ist die gute Übereinstimmung der überprüften Overcoring Daten und Ergebnisse aus existierenden Hydraulic Fracturing Versuchen. Die Abweichungen der horizontalen Spannungen aus beiden Datensätzen ist etwa 3 MPa und Abweichungen der Orientierung der größten Horizontalspannung liegen bei etwa 10-20°.

"Copper–cobalt extraction is a reagent-intensive process resulting in acid consumption greatly contributing towards production costs, which in the current market conditions curtail profitability. Nanofiltration (NF) membranes have become an attractive approach in the mining and minerals industry for product concentration and reagent recovery based on the ability of the membrane to separate monovalent ions from divalent ions. NF membranes can selectively separate acids from metals and salts allowing acid to be recycled as well as the concentration and purification of product streams. Membrane technology in the field of copper–cobalt processing focusses on the concentration of Cu2+ and Co2+ in the pregnant leach solution, recovery of acid from waste streams to neutralization, recovery of valuable metals from waste ponds and process water recovery. This paper aims to provide insight into the potential applications of NF membranes in copper–cobalt processing circuits as well as a brief overview of the effects of process conditions on membrane performance and process development. INTRODUCTION The copper–cobalt industry commonly uses inorganic acids, such as sulfuric acid, in large quantities for primary leaching of copper–cobalt oxide ores and releaching during product purification (Stuurman et al., 2014). This results in numerous acidic intermediate streams containing high metal concentrations and acidic waste streams with low metal concentrations. Acid consumption typically accounts for 10–15% of the operating costs of mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia (Acid Plant Database, 2015). Due to remote mine locations, poorly maintained roads and cross-border conflict, the cost of sulphuric acid can range between USD 300 and 400 per ton. The pivotal role of acid in the copper–cobalt extraction process has driven many mines to build sulphuric acid plants on site to ensure a reliable acid supply, however elemental sulphur still needs to be imported which faces similar logistical challenges and contributes towards operating costs."

Fine phosphate feed is considered to be slime and normally disposed of as a discard in settling ponds or dumped as landfill. The purpose of this research was to establish whether commercially acceptable qualities and yields could be obtained from this material using dry separation methods. The results obtained from the electrostatic separation of <105 µm phosphate ore are presented. An existing separator was upgraded in order to improve on product and flotation concentrate recovery, to test different mineral, and to reduce particle residence time between the charging chamber and the separating zone of the separator. The operating conditions were varied according to the charges imparted to the particles in the electric field, and according to other device parameters. Parameters such as splitter position, charge reversal, rotation speed, charging voltage and separating voltage. The <105 µm phosphate feed was concentrated under both triboelectrification and inductive charging. The use of inductive charging and charge reversal resulted in a significant increase in grade for <105 µm phosphate feed, with the P2O5 grade increasing from about 12 per cent to 20.50 per cent, and a recovery of 26.30 per cent under a single stage of separation. It was found that better separation was achieved at rotation speed of 6000 r/min, -8 kV charging voltage, and 25 kV separating voltage.

The socio economic risks of mining in South Africa have been emerging for some time now, and have been brought into sharp relief by recent events in the platinum sector. The slow pace of social upliftment in the country has lead to widespread social unrest with consequent calls for different forms of resource nationalism. Fundamentally, the key stakeholders are not fully aligned, and are not engaging productively. This poses significant above-the-ground risk to mining companies. Measuring social impact, deploying inclusive solutions and engaging effectively with stakeholders are three ways in which mining companies can mitigate this risk.

In the last 20 years, In Line Inspection (ILI) using intelligent pigs has become the principal tool used by pipeline operators to assess the condition of their pipelines. New pipelines are normally designed to take intelligent pigs, but many older pipelines require some modifications and special procedures for their inspection. This paper is aimed at practicing engineers and managers of pipelines, or people aspiring to those positions. The paper describes the benefits of ILI and some of the practical issues regarding pipeline preparation and cleaning, choice of inspection tool, running pigs in pipelines, and what to do with the data collected. What are the responsibilities of the Pipeline Engineer ? ? Maintain reliable and acceptable performance of the pipeline in terms of safety and product delivery at economical cost. ? Provide a defined margin of safety for operating the pipeline at its designated pressure. ? Provide timely information on all pipeline defects such that repairs can be carried out according to a managed schedule. What Defects does the Pipeline Operator have to cope with ? A useful record of actual incidents seen in pipelines can be obtained from the web site of the US Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) - http://ops.dot.gov/stats/stats.htm. US pipeline Operators are obliged by Law to report all pipeline incidents exceeding certain threshold criteria (e.g loss of life, escape of product, cost of incident etc). These OPS statistics show that corrosion and third party damage have remained consistently the prime causes of reportable incidents in the US, with similar experience elsewhere. "SynopsisSouth Africa recently announced a resurgence in its commercial nuclear power programme. The implications for the development of the necessary high-level manpower within South Africa’s tertiary educational system and its national research and development (R&D) capacity in materials science and engineering, as well as in other engineering disciplines, are placed into perspective. An organized national process of developing this manpower by moving away from the previously high-risk and costly ’large programmes’ to rather a selection of ‘small and better’ research projects and a redefinition of what constitutes ‘nuclear materials’ are proposed as parts of this strategy.IntroductionSince 2008, and more particularly in 2014/2015, South Africa has woken up to the fact that significant steps need to be taken to ensure sufficient electricity generating capacity for the future, even beyond the coal-fired stations at Medupi and Kusile currently under construction. It is, therefore, encouraging to see some active large-scale wind farms in the Eastern Cape near Jeffrey’s Bay, in the Couga area, and others in the Western Cape already in operation. In addition, many solar energy projects are also progressing from the small localized scale to larger programmes in the Northern Cape, which may contribute some capacity on a national basis. South Africa needs to tap into its renewable resources of wind and solar much more, but will these projects solve the country’s long-term industrial needs? Unfortunately not. One cannot run mines and trains on solar cells. Industry needs reliable baseload capacity, and with very limited easily accessible hydrocapacity this leaves really only coal, possibly natural gas, and nuclear power as options. South Africa’s current over-reliance of about 90% on coal–fired power, however, places it in an internationally vulnerable position, and diversification into a more equitable energy mix should be a national priority for the medium to long term. South Africa cannot significant climate change confronting the human race, as the IPCC cautioned in 2013, and will have to adjust its future energy reliance to a more balanced combination of sources."

ABSTRACT: Hydraulic experiments have been conducted since 1997 within a small fractured calcareous rock mass in southeastern France, at a site called Coaraze. On this reduced-scale site closing a floodgate located on a downstream spring produces repeated hydraulic loadings. Simultaneous measurements of normal deformations and pressure in several joints have provided a better understanding of the hydromechanical behaviour of such a fractured rock mass. The present paper first describes both the site and conceptual interpretation of the measurements performed. We showed that accurate measurement reproduction requires incorporating certain features: a variable normal joint stiffness, the joint vicinity (through introducing a Z coefficient), and the initial stress state. The paper then develops an original analytical interpretation of the coupled pressure-displacement measurements carried out, which reveal the high level of measurement suitability to the non-linear behaviours examined. 2D modelling, using the discontinuous code (UDEC) was used to proceed with the calibration step. In diesem kleinen Standort, werden wiederholte Wasserdruck Erhöhungen durch das Schliessen eines Hahnes produziert. Gleichzeitiger Druck und normale Verformung Meßungen in mehreren Fugen haben erlaubt, das hydromechanische Verhalten einer solche gebrochene Felsenmasse besser zu verstehen. Der Artikel beschreibt zuerst den Standort und stellt die begrifflichen Interpretationen der Meßungen vor. Um die Meßungen gut zu reproduzieren ist es wesentlich, bestimmte Faktoren wie die veränderliche normale Steifheit der Fugen, die Nachbarschaft der Fugen (über einen Z-Koeffizient) und der Spannungstand zu berücksichtigen. Der Artikel erklärt die originale Methode für die Druck- und Verformungs-Meßungen Interpretation und zeigt die gute Korrelation der Meßungen mit dem nicht-linearen angenommen Verhaltens der Fugen. The new South African Mineral Policy has major implications on the way mineral rent will be collected and shared between the stakeholders in future. Although the policy does not supply details on how this will be done, drastic departures from practices under the previous dispensation require a new approach. For example, there introduction of the ?right to mine? principle implies that the repealed lease consideration concept will be expanded to all minerals. The new policy also makes provision for predetermined standard terms and conditions for all prospecting and mining permissions. It also states that, regardless of whether the mineral rights are state or privately-owned, all prospecting fees and mineral royalties will be determined by state officials after consultation with the registered holder of the mineral rights. This paper proposes a standard mineral royalty formula that complies with the principles mentioned in the White Paper and has been shown to be internationally competitive.

"SynopsisAccording to the overlying rock strength and thickness of 10 shallow coal seams in China, the strata are classified into four types: weak and laminated strata (hereinafter referred to as WL), weak and massive strata (WM), strong and laminated strata (SL), and strong and massive strata (SM). The four types of strata, together with longwall panel height (M), panel length (L), and seam depth (H) are factors that influence the loads on hydraulic power supports. Principal component analysis was used to study the seven influencing factors. It turns out that seam depth (H) is multicollinear with WL, WM, SL, and SM. Thus the enumerated seven factors are divided into two models. In Model 1, six factors; panel height, panel length, and layer thickness of the four type strata are involved. In Model 2, three factors; panel height, panel length, and seam depth are included. Using multivariate regression analysis, two equations to calculate loads on supports are obtained for each model. The equations were applied to shallow coal seams. The equation of Model 1 is more accurate than that of Model 2, but Model 2 could be further used in deep coal seams. The equations were coded through VB programming to simplify the calculation.IntroductionTo ensure coal production in the long term, the focus of coal mining has been gradually shifted to the western areas of China in recent years due to rich coal resources in this region. Most of the coal seams in this area are shallow but the support loads are abnormally high. In these circumstances, the chock loads estimating methods used in the past do not work. If the rated working resistance of a support is larger than needed, the shield is unable to fully perform, while a lower working resistance would lead to accidents like shield crushing or even casualties. This problem is frequently found in shallow coal seams such as Shenfu-Dongsheng, Yulin, Tuha, Lingwu etc. (Zhang, 2011). Thus, to ensure safety and efficiency during mining, the estimation of support loads and selection of supports are of great significance."

Silicon Smelters consumes more than 80000 t/a of wood-derived charcoal as carbonaceous reductant in the production of silicon metal. More than 10% of this material is discarded as fines (<6 mm) generated due to abrasion during processing. Charcoal fine residues (<650 μm) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) binder were used in this study to produce mechanically strong charcoal briquettes for metallurgical application as carbonaceous reductant. The PVA binder was added in mass percentages of 1, 3, and 5 wt% to the charcoal fines. The compressive strength, abrasion resistance index (ARI), drop shatter resistance (SRI), and water resistance index (WRI) were measured as functions of curing for up to 7 days under atmospheric conditions, and the results compared with metallurgical grade coarse charcoal. The ash content of the produced briquettes was found to be high (6.6–8.0%) compared with the coarse charcoal (1–3%). The 3 and 5 wt% PVA-bound briquettes were found to be the strongest, with compressive strengths of 40 and 115 kg/cm2 respectively, with WRI values of 75 and 73% respectively. The produced briquettes were found to have lower ARI and SRI values compared to the coarse charcoal. Future work should include beneficiation of the fine charcoal discards prior to briquetting, and an increase in binder addition to above 6 wt% to improve the ARI and SRIn.

Based on the geological-geometric characterization of the basaltic rock at the site of a factory for chemical products situated in the Southern region of Brasil, and on results of a significant number of packer tests, the principal directions of flow were estimated, taking into consideration the intersection and the orientation of the joints and the amount of contaminant flow measured in each interval. The tests were performed using the multi-packer hydraulic multitest probe of IPT (HMTP) instrumented with an electric conductivity meter. A method of analysis for three-dimensional evaluation of the amount of contaminant flow in the area was proposed for future mitigation of the problem. Basé sur une caractérization géologique-géotechnique de la roche basaltique existant sur un site dune fabrique de produits chimiques située au sud du Brésil et sur les resultants dún nombre significantif déssais du type packer, les directions principales d´écoulement ont été estimées en considerant l´intersection et orientation des joints et la quantité de contaminant mesurée sur chaque intervale d´essais. Ceux-ci ont été realizes en utilisant une sonde multipacker developée au IPT – São Paulo (HMTP) instrumentée avec un mesureur de condictivité électrique. Une méthode d´analyse 3-D pour l´évaluation du transport du contaminant sur ce site a été proposée pour une future mitigation du problème. Auf Grund der geologischen Struktur des Basalts auf dem Gelände einer chemischen Fabrik in Südbrasilien und der Ergebnisse einer ansehnlichen Zahl von Pumpversuchen wurden die Hauptfließrichtungen bestimmt unter Berücksichtigung des Kluftgefüges und der in jedem Intervall gemessenen Menge kontaminierten Wassers. Die Versuche erfolgten mit dem im IPT entwickelten Verfahren (HMTP) mit Mehrfachpackern und elektrischen Leitfähigkeitsgebern. Ein analytisches Verfahren zur dreidimensionalen Ermittlung der Mengen kontaminierten Wassers wurde für die künftige Befassung mit dem Problem entwickelt.

The FlashPhos process aims to recover white phosphorus (P4) from sewage sludge by drying, flash combustion/gasification, and carbothermic refining steps. This study evaluates the material behaviour of sewage sludge ash melting and reduction in a refining furnace for the novel FlashPhos process. Thermodynamic modelling in FactSage 8.2 is combined with experiments from a tube furnace to determine the possible phosphorus recovery and minor element behaviour. For the two studied sludges, a yield of 40% and 75% white phosphorus is achieved after 1 hour at 1600°C, corresponding with a 60% and 25% loss to the metal phase. This is slightly above the calculated equilibrium yield of 28%–73%, which depends mainly on the Fe/P ratio of the sludge. Temperature is found to have a significant influence on the final phosphorus yield when leading to incomplete melting of the ash. A clean slag is produced in the process free of heavy metals making it suitable to be used as a cement-like binder material. The main heavy metals that co-evaporate with the phosphorus are Zn, Pb, As, Sb, and Sn. Additional processing steps will be required to remove these to produce a pure P4 product. The metal alloy consists of mostly Fe and P with smaller amounts of other components such as Mo, Cr, Cu, Mn, Sn, Sb, and V. The final slag consists of CaO, SiO2, MgO, and Al2O3 with virtually complete removal of P and heavy metals.

The Bushveld platinum group metal deposits are two distinct, shallow-dipping stratiform tabular orebodies which strike for many hundreds of kilometres. Mining is extensive, with depths ranging from close-to-surface to 2 300 m. The mining method is a variation of planar open stoping. Pillars are widely employed to support the open stopes. In the deeper levels, in-stope pillars are required to fail in a stable manner soon after being cut, and the residual pillar strength is used to stabilize the hanging wall. These pillars are commonly known as crush pillars. Little work has been done in the past to determine pillar peak and residual strengths, and pillars have been designed using experience and formulae developed for other hard-rock mines. This has led to over and undersize pillars with consequential loss of ore, pillar bursts and potential collapses. This paper describes a crush pillar design methodology, and provides design charts. Three mining environments were incorporated in the investigations, which included underground and laboratory measurements, analytical solutions, numerical model sand back analyses. The results of the study are suitable for the areas where the research was carried out, and may also be applied with caution in other similar environments.

Better utilisation of electric power and coke is vital in reducing production costs and CO2-emissions in production of ferromanganese. All FeMn smelting operations consume 10 to 30 % more carbon than the carbon needed to reduce MnO and FeO to metal and the carbon contained in the alloy. Potassium which re-circulates and builds up in the furnace has been shown to be the main culprit causing both excessive carbon consumption, by catalysing the Boudouard reaction, and increased electric power consumption. The reaction between CO2 and ordinary metallurgical coke or coke impregnated with potassium has been studied at temperatures from 800 to 1100°C in a thermobalance apparatus. Ordinary coke did not react to any great extent at temperatures up to 1000°C, whereas the addition of potassium (2-10 %) resulted in a huge increase in reaction rates. The ultimate goal is to fit the results into a reaction rate model containing the equilibrium constant for the solid-gas heterogeneous reaction between CO2 and a free active site on the carbon reactant producing CO and adsorbed oxygen (an occupied site). The model includes the partial pressures of CO and CO2, a reaction rate constant that is a function of both the total number of reaction sites of carbon, and the potassium content. The potassium dependency is taken care of by introducing activity coefficients for the carbon sites. As the first step towards such a model, a regression line for the Boudouard reaction rate has been established.

ABSTRACT: This paper contributes to the study of underground structures in argillaceous media, especially Tournemire argillites (Aveyron, France). The basic results obtained over six years in two experimental drifts at the Tournemire site are presented. In situ measurements cover drift wall temperature, humidity and convergence. Delayed convergence represents around 50-65% of the total measured convergence. Analysis of the measurements has shown that delayed convergence is explained by the viscoplastic behaviour of the argillaceous formations. Lemaitre’s rheological model has been extended to the orthotropic case, as Tournemire argillite is naturally anisotropic. The triaxial creep test results on samples at different orientations enabled the parameters of the Tournemire argillite to be identified in terms of orthotropic viscoplastic law. A plane deformation model, using this rheological law and the initial stress field in the site, was developed to interpret the convergence measurements in the drifts. The computed results match the measurements well, especially during the excavation phase. KEY WORDS: Argillite, convergence, time-dependent behaviour, creep, viscoplasticity, modelling. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse, die in zwei Forschungsstrecken am Standort Tournemine über einen Beobachtungszeitraum von sechs Jahren zusammengetragen wurden, werden hier vorgestellt. Gemessen wurden in situ Temperatur, Feuchtigkeit und Streckenkonvergenz. Von der insgesamt gemessenen Konvergenz sind etwa 50 bis 65 % auf zeitlich verzögerte Konvergenz zurückzuführen. Die Auswertung aller Messungen hat ergeben, dass die zeitverzögerte Konvergenz mit dem viskos-plastischen Verhalten des Tonsteinmassivs zu erklären ist. Aufgrund der naturgemäßen Anisotropie des Tongesteins von Tournemine wurde das rheologische Modell von Lemaitre auf den orthotropen Fall ausgedehnt. Triaxiale Kriechversuche bei jeweils unterschiedlicher Ausrichtung dienten der Ermittlung der einzelnen Parameter des orthotropen, viskos-plastischen Gesetzes. Zur Auswertung der Konvergenzmessungen innerhalb der beiden Strecken wurde unter Beachtung dieses rheologischen Modells sowie des ursprünglichen Spannungszustands vor Ort ein flächiges Deformationsmodell entwickelt. Die Rechenergebnisse zeigen eine gute Übereinstimmung mit den Messungen, insbesondere während der Vortriebsphase. RESUME : Cet article est une contribution à l’étude des structures souterraines dans les milieux argileux, notamment les argilites de Tournemire (Aveyron, France). Les principaux résultats obtenus pendant six années, dans deux galeries d’expérimentation au site de Tournemire, sont présentés. Ces mesures portent sur la température, l’humidité et la convergence des parements des galeries. La convergence différée représente environ 50 à 65% de la convergence totale mesurée. L’analyse de l’ensemble des mesures a montré que la convergence différée est interprétée par le comportement viscoplastique du massif argileux. Etant donné que l’argilite de Tournemire est naturellement anisotrope, le modèle rhéologique de Lemaitre a été étendu au cas orthotrope. Les résultats des essais de fluage triaxial, sur des échantillons à différentes orientations, ont permis de déterminer les paramètres de la loi viscoplastique orthotrope. Un modèle en déformation plane, utilisant cette loi rhéologique et l’état de contrainte initiale dans le site, a été développé en vue d’interpréter les mesures de convergence dans les galeries. Les résultats des calculs sont en bon accord avec les mesures et plus particulièrement durant la phase de creusement. It has been found that the MnO content of a slag decreases sharply when direct current is applied to a 1T1£tal-Slagsystem consisting of liquid Mn-Si-Ccsat metals and MnO-SiO2-CaO-AI203 slag in graphite crucibles. This paper reports a preliminary investigation into the electrochemical effects of direct current on the metal-slag system, the silicon content of the metals, and the MnO content of the slag. The results show that, when a direct current of 7 A is maintained, the MnO content of a metal containing 10 to 11 per cent silicon by weight is reduced rapidly from 26,5 to 17,2 per cent by weight. This reduction seems to proceed further when the process is continued. When the direct current and the voltage are kept constant at TA and 4 V respectively, the MnO content of a metal containing 1 to 2 per cent silicon by weight is reduced to 1 from 25 per cent by weight, which results in a manganese yield of 96 per cent.

Advanced optimizing control of the fluidised bed zinc roaster has been in use for an extended period at Boliden Kokkola and the implications are seen as extended bed stability, increased throughput and far better on-line availability. The roaster furnace control system developed is based on a dynamic and predictive furnace model, with parameters determined experimentally at the site. The controller maximises the concentrate feed and keeps the furnace operational parameters inside limits given by raw material mix and equipment constraints. The products of a zinc roaster, calcine, sulphur dioxide and the side products, such as mercury, meet gradually more stringent requirements, in particular as to their assays and total recoveries in the process chain. The end users of sulphuric acid in northern Europe, among others in the pulp and paper industry, require mercury levels much less than the conventional 0.2-0.4 ppm Hg. Therefore, secondary de-mercurising circuits have been used over the last five years for further cleaning the SO2 stream allowing production acid grades with less than 0.08 ppm Hg.

1. A NEW CONTEXT FOR METAL INDUSTRY Producers and owners of industrial extractive sites are living hard times due to Environmental pressure and liabilities. This is valid whatever the region in the world, it is just a question of time. On one hand, the normative environmental pressure is increasing through more severe regulations and controls on all pollution sources and production materials. [ ] Furthermore, more impurities are extracted and captured, more the volume of the related wastes is increasing. But disposal costs are increasing, disposal areas for wastes are restricted, markets for wastes are limited and technologies for waste treatment are, most of the time, not available. On the other hand, for most of the extractive industries, the costs required to get access to refine primary raw material are killing the profitability of the industry. Definitively, a technological and economical breakthrough is ongoing: extractive industries have to increase their feed from secondary material and to be involved more and more with the recycling business.
