THE importance of ladle and teeming practice and its relationship to the yield and quality of the product has focused considerable attention on this phase of open-hearth operation. Inherently bad steel cannot be perfected by manipulation during teeming, but through the proper handling of "off heats" serious losses, which in many cases arise, can be greatly minimized. Conversely, good steel can be ruined as a result of poor workmanship in the pit, and rendered unsuitable for application to orders where exacting surface and physical requirements are essential. Sufficient evidence has been secured to warrant careful investigation of pit operations when an abnormal number of basic defects develop in the semifinished product or are found on the inspection table. This paper is written from the standpoint of the problems involved in making satisfactory ingots for sheet rolling. Furthermore, since rimming steel is almost universally used for manufacture of sheet, the data presented herein refer particularly to that type of steel. Going back some 30 years in open-hearth history, the word "pit" properly described the hole into which the ladle was lowered to receive the metal tapped from the furnace. The working space was necessarily limited, and the disposal of slag and metal overflowing the ladle or lost because of breakouts presented a serious problem. The equipment, of course, was rather crude in the light of present-day development. Often no ladle stands were provided, the ladle being hung on the crane beneath the runner. When delayed taps occurred, the ladle was often held in position for many hours, thus tying tip pit operations and causing delays to adjacent furnaces. Because of crowded conditions, slag thimbles were not used and a network of cast-steel triangles and old tapping bars, placed before the heat was tapped, was the means for removing slag from the hole. History.—The making of iron and steel from the ores of northern Mexico was for years a favorite project of the late Don Patricio Milmo, upon whose estate large deposits of coal and iron were known to exist, and with whom Mr. Eugene Kelly, of New York, was associated. Several expert examinations of the property mere made for them; and when failing health forced Sr. Milmo to retire from active part in the matter, Mr. Kelly carried on the project and associated himself with Messrs. Vicente Ferrara, of Monterrey, Antonio Basagoiti and Leon Signoret, of the City of Mexico, and other leading citizens of Mexico, Monterrey and New York, who, in May, 1900, organized the " Compania Fundidora de Fierro y Acero de Monterrey," with a capital of $10,000,000. The main reason for locating the plant at Monterrey was, that a circle drawn with Monterrey as a center, and the distance from Monterrey to Laredo as a radius, will contain all the known Deposits of iron-ore of Bessemer quality, and the greater part of the available coal, in the Republic. Moreover, Monterrey is connected with all the Mexican trunk railwaylines, and thus with the Gulf of Mexico, and supplies, therefore, the conditions necessary for prosperous manufacturing, namely, cheapness in assembling raw materials and means for wide distribution of product. It also has a number of enterprising citizens, who have been successful in mining, smelting and manufacturing operations, and a sufficiently large population to supply the necessary labor. The world's production of petroleum in 1926 amounted to nearly 150 million long tons, of which India contributed 0.72 per cent. In 1927, this figure jumped to some 172 million long tons, of which the Indian proportion, on a practically stationary production, fell to 0.64 per cent. In 1928, there was another substantial rise in the world's production, which reached the figure of over 181 million tons. In 1929, there was another jump to over 202 million tons, but in 1930 the world's production fell to about 193% million tons, in 1931 to about 187 million tons, and in 1932 to about 183 million tons, while in 1933 the production rose again to about 202 million tons, in 1934 to about 215 million tons, and in 1935 to 233 million tons1. Decreases were shown by Poland, Sarawak, Egypt, Rumania and France. All other important producers showed an increase in production, by far the largest being due to Iraq, as a result of the opening of the pipe line to the Mediterranean. The United States contributed 60.9 per cent of the world's supply in 1935, Russia 10.7 per cent, Venezuela 9.4 per cent, Rumania 3.9 per cent and Iran 3.1 per cent. In 1928, India contributed 0.64 per cent, which fell to 0.60 per cent in 1929 and rose to 0.62 per cent in 1930, 0.63 per cent in 1931, and 0.64 per cent in 1932, and fell again to 0.62 per cent in 1933, to 0.60 per cent in 1934 and to 0.50 per cent in 1935; her position on the list of petroleum-producing countries fell from eleventh in 1929 to twelfth in 1930 to 1933, her place being taken by Trinidad and to thirteenth in 1934 and 1935, owing to the production by Iraq. The production of petroleum in India (including Burma2) increased slightly from 322,025,280 gal.3 in 1934 to 322,662,336 gal. in 1935, the highest figure in the history of the industry. The increase in 1935 is due to an increase of some 4 million gallons in Assam, almost offset by a decrease of 31/2 million gallons in Burma. This increase in output in 1935 was accompanied by an increase in estimated value amounting to Rs. 22,73,550 (£170,944).

The author discusses some economic conditions which have made the career of the cast-iron pipe industry in the United States a checkered one. He next describes the two new developements in the manufacture of cast-iron pipe-both along the lines of centrifugal casting. The advantages and disadvantages of both processes are presented in some detail. Finally, statistics on the production of pipe in the United States at the present time are given, as well as the plants-and their capacities-so far as these are situated in the South. No SINGLE branch of the foundry industry has been brought to a production basis of huge tonnage, low manufacturing cost, and producing material of a remarkably high quality, as has the making of cast-iron pipe. The pipe shop is an excellent illustration of the fact that repetition work in specialties leads to mechanical equipment and manipulation that lower production costs to an. astonishing degree. Hence cast-iron pipe, in dull times, has been sold at a few dollars a ton over the selling price of the pig iron used. On the other hand, these same pipe, shops make fittings .of many varieties, and in much smaller quantities, where the cost is high, and when pipe may be sold, say, at $50 a ton, the fittings on the same shipment will be sold for nearly double that price. The history of pipe-making, in the United States, is a checkered one the mortality of plants is high and, from the nature of the industry, plants must be large to live. In spite of the fact that the best processes must be used to turn out this rather strict specification material, pipe is easy to make and a pipe plant is more of a tonnage mill than the really high-class specialty foundry it should be. Every time, therefore, that the demand for pipe is strong new shops spring up, only to close when the demand has ceased, but the financial damage to the more permanent plants has been done. Both the South and the North have had abundant experiences of this kind, and when recently a northern Public Service Corporation gave its order to France, the pipe plants thus adversely affected were content to have this occur rather than see-a plant started to supply the surplus demand.

ALTHOUGH flotation was known to be a successful process prior to 1912, Utah Copper Co.'s ores were not entirely treated by this process until 1923. Experiments had been conducted, of course, prior to that time, and in February, 1917, the first unit of the Arthur plant was changed over from gravity concentration to flotation. On May 16, 1918, the entire Arthur plant was on flotation, excepting the coarse concentrate which was tabled prior to fine grinding. The reasons for the delay in adopting flotation at these plants were, first, that it was decided to await the outcome of the litigation with the Butte & Superior Mining Co., which began with an injunction served on Oct. 3, 1911. This litigation continued for years. Then the demands on the plants in the war years 1916, 1917 and 1918, really precluded any further drastic changes during that period, as all efforts were bent on maximum tonnage, and the cry of tonnage, rather than of recovery, was the major issue. The postwar depression followed these years of intensive production, so that it was not until 1922 that the Magna plant was equipped to use this process. Excepting, then, the amount of coarse concentrate that was tabled, 1923 was the first year when the Utah Copper Co.'s ores were on, a full flotation basis. EFFECT OF FLOTATION ON ORE RESERVES The object of this paper is to point out the effect that flotation has had on the operations of the Utah Copper Co. In 1905, when D. C. Sackling began making history in copper, the ore reserves were 34,000,000 tons, with a grade of 2 per cent. copper and a mill capacity of 700 tons daily. The point of cut-off between nonprofitable and profitable grades was 1.2 per cent. A few years later the capacity was increased to 6000 tons, when 1.1 per cent became the point of cut-off. Ore reserves had climbed to 80,000,000 tons, having a grade of 1.9 per cent. In 1911 there was an ore reserve of 300,000,000 tons, with a grade of 1.5 per cent and a cut-off of 1 per cent.; in 1918 the ore reserve was approximately 400,000,000 tons, and a grade of 1.38 per cent., and point of cut-off 0.95 per cent., based on normal costs and prices. RECENT investigations1,2 of the low-cycle fatigue behavior of pure copper under strain cycling conditions have shown that a unique saturation stress level is eventually attained for each value of applied plastic strain amplitude. The dislocation substructure of copper at the saturation stress level is in the form of cells whose diameter decreases with increasing saturation stress level, i.e., plastic strain amplitude. In addition, both the saturation stress level and the cellular substructure are completely reversible. That is, the saturation stress level and accompanying cell size are determined solely by the present conditions of testing and are, therefore, independent of any previous cyclic history. The mechanical and substructural reversibility observed in pure copper, which has a relatively high stacking fault energy, is not observedz for Cu-7.5A1 which has a much lower stacking fault energy. This implies that easy cross slip (wavy slip) is a prerequisite for reversible fatigue behavior. A dispersion of fine, nondeformable particles of a second phase in a metal matrix tends to stabilize substruc- tures introduced by forming operations during subsequent elevated-temperature heat treatments.3 This raises the question as to whether a finely dispersed second phase can induce an element of irre-versibility into the cyclic deformation behavior of a wavy slip material at room temperature, due to partial stabilization of the initially introduced substructure. The North Central Texas district, as known to the oil fraternity, is the area producing from sands and limes of Pennsylvanian age, roughly embracing the territory lying between Fort Worth and Abilene in an east-west line, and between the Red River and the Llano Mountains in a north-south line. The history of oil development in North Central Texas during the year 1927 is briefly reviewed in the following paragraphs. Brown County New discoveries and development in Brown County centered mainly around the Fry pool, located in the west central portion of the county. Important discoveries for the year were: Shoupe No. 1 John Byler, discovery well of the Byler pool, located 2 miles south of the Fry pool which camc in early in February, 1927, at 1262 ft. for 90 bbl. in the Fry sand of upper Strawn (Pennsylvanian) age. Rosenfield No. 1 P. Davis, discovery well of the Smith-Ellis pool located 1 1/2 miles northeast of the Fry pool, came in March 7, in the Fry sand from 1277 to 1279 ft. for 30 bbl. initial. Pandem Oil Corpn. No. 1 Mrs. T. Hutton, located 1 mile east of the Smith-Ellis pool, came in in December in the Fry sand from 1119 to 1130 ft. for 45 barrels. The Fry pool passed its daily production peak of 25,000 bbl. during the first part of June, and declined to a daily production of 5100 hhl. by the close of the year. The oil recovery from the Fry pool up to Jan. 1, 1928, slightly exceeded 4,000,000 bbl., averaging 4700 bbl. to the acre. over the entire pool. The Smith-Ellis pool passed its daily production peak of 5300 bbl. in Octohcr, 1927, and dropped to 3600 bbl. by the close of the year. The possibilities of the Byler pool will be unknown until the area is fully drilled up. In the Blake pool, production passed 2,500,-000 bbl. for the year. The per acre recovery in this pool up to lkc. 31, averaged slightly over 5000 barrels.

Homestake's Bulldog Mountain Operation near Creede, Colorado, in the San Juan Mountains at an elevation of nearly 2,750 m (9,000 ft), is subjected to short summers and long cold winters. Creede’s history dates back to 1889 when silver ore was discovered; and by 1892 production of over a million dollars per month was being shipped from mines located along the Amethyst Fault. The Bulldog Mountain Fault remained relatively untouched by the early prospectors. The United States Geological Survey recognized the potential of this fault in 1960, which led to the staking of many claims over the structure. Homestake leased properties in 1963 and in mid- 1964 a tunnel was started at the 2,956 m (9,700 ft) level with encouraging mineralization being encountered. In 1968 a decision was reached to build a flotation mill of 318 mtpd (350 stpd) capacity. The erection of the mill was completed in early 1969, six years after the first exploration was begun. Since initial start-up, extensive drifting has been done on several separate levels. Two underground hoist installations serve the various levels and many thousand feet of vertical mining operations. Due to the unconsolidated nature of the vein, a new unique underhand cut-and- fill mining method was developed. This procedure is the reverse of the normal cut-and-fill and proceeds from the top down under cemented sand fill, which, while expensive, has greatly reduced s toping hazards. Prior to 1977, a considerable quantity of silver was lost in the slime fraction of the ores processed because of oxidation and other inherent characteristics of individual minerals. Due to Homestakefs favorable experience in treating the slime fraction of the Lead, South Dakota gold ores, experiments with leach methods to recover silver from the slimes by Carbon -In -Pulp offered' the potential for additional silver recovery. Work was begun on the Carbon-In-Pulp plant in April 1976 and completed in December of that year at a cost slightly exceeding $2 million. The C. I. P. plant was designed for 136 mtpd (150 stpd) of current plant slimes plus 227 mtpd (250 stpd) of slimes dredged from the old tailings during the summer season. The sand fraction of the flotation

E. M. Fitchett (Johnstown, Pa.)—The fact stated by the authors that: "In the laboratory, without marked efficiency decreases, the authors have deposited zinc successfully from solutions containing as high as 1 g per liter of germanium," (p. 465, paragraph 3) is most unusual. A similar statement is made in the summary and conclusions: "Germanium alone, within normal operating limits does not cause large efficiency losses." The limits are not defined. These facts are directly contrary to much of the published history on the effect of germanium in zinc electrolysis. A description of the conditions leading to such a successful electrolysis would be of interest to all engaged in the production of electrolytic zinc. It is unfortunate that the authors of this paper did not determine the actual concentration of germanium and cadmium in the solutions which they electrolyzed after a zinc dust purification. This purification will take out a variable amount of these impurities, depending upon the composition of the dust, type of agitation, presence of activating agents, etc. Probably every electrolytic zinc plant in this country has accurate methods, both wet and spectrographic, for determining germanium and cadmium. These specific methods, adopted from the standard analytical literature, are often available to educational institutions for the asking. The headings of Fig. 2 and of the two tables, with their definite concentrations of germanium and cadmium (which are not so definite according to the footnotes) could possibly be somewhat misleading, since the actual amounts of germanium and cadmium present during electrolysis are not known. Even the 1 hr electrolysis time might be too short for a study of this type; 12 or 24 hr tests might be much better. Commercial solutions have been known that gave over 90 pct ampere efficiency during the first hour of electrolysis, but no metal at all after 24 hr.

WHEN temper rolled low carbon sheet is stored at room temperature before use, changes take place in its mechanical properties. This phenomenon is known as strain aging. Normally these changes are observed by means of Olsen ductility and Rockwell B hardness tests but' unfortunately such tests are relatively insensitive. Strain aging can be readily observed in the laboratory by means of tensile tests. The tensile test method is even more sensitive if the aging is allowed to take place in specimens which have been prestrained in tension rather than by cold rolling. In fact one of the great benefits of commercial temper rolling is that it introduces a residual stress pattern which tends to mask the effects of strain aging when the sheet is finally used in a pressing operation. Curves B, C, and D of Fig. 1 illustrate the changes that take place during the aging of commercial rimmed steel at room temperature following straining in tension, curve A, Fig. 1. The first important change that can be observed is an increase in the stress required to produce plastic flow. This increase is, in this paper, called the aging index. As aging proceeds and the aging index increases, there is also an observable return of the yield point, an increase in the ultimate tensile strength, and a decrease in elongation to fracture. The results of strain aging in deep drawing steel manifest themselves as stretcher strains (L?ders bands) buckling, 2nd tearing. MAGNETITE is the important iron ore of New Jersey although bog ore, limonite and red hematite were mined in sizable quantity early in the state's min-ing history. The deposits of mag-netite are found in the Highland area in the northern part of the state. These ores outcrop a broad belt 20 miles wide, extending in a northeasterly direction from Phil-lipsburg, on the Delaware River, to Greenwood Lake, at the southern boundary of the state of New York, a distance of 60 miles. The area in which the magnetite is found (see map, Fig. 1) contains 1200 square miles and the center of the area is at Dover, 40 miles west of New York City. In the general area are found 18 parallel ranges or lines of ore deposits. These ranges may be re-garded as mineralized zones in which occur orebodies that are rich enough in magnetite to war-rant mining. Usually a number of the orebodies lie one above the other in the same plane, all dipping and pitching in the same direction. Within the ranges, there may be several parallel orebodies of work-able size. The average strike of the orebodies is N.41° 30' E., with an average dip of 55° southeast and an average pitch of 15 ° to the northeast. Orebodies suitable for mining range from 6 to 100 ft. wide, as measured from foot wall to hanging wall. Their heights, as measured on the dip and normal to the long axis of the orebody, vary from 200 to 3,000 ft. The length along the pitch has never been determined by mining, al-though several of the orebodies have been worked to lengths of 10,000 ft. The grade of the ore as mined today varies from 30 to 60 per cent iron, and the gangue min-erals are chiefly silica, alumina, magnesia, lime and phosphorus.

One of the most interesting of all the subjects required of persons studying the different facets of coal mining is coal mine gases. Some mine gases have been a real problem since the very beginning of underground mining and in the early days there was insufficient knowledge to really cope with them. The history of mining shows that until the last 50 years, work was done primarily by the hand methods which are primitive by today's standards. Miners had to contend with gases without the aid of enclosed lighting, permissible mine machinery, sophisticated testing devices, and high pressure ventilating fans. In early days the miners were not educated as to the different mine gases nor did they have the technical equipment to determine the actual composition of the deadly atmospheres they encountered. They simply applied a descriptive term to each gas or mixture of gases depending on its effect on a person or the surrounding atmosphere. The gases or mixtures of gases were then referred to as "damps" which was probably derived from the German word "dampf," meaning vapors or gases. The more common damps encountered were as follows: Blackdamp A condition of the atmosphere where a miner's light would be extinguished and in which breathing would be difficult, sometimes even resulting in suffocation. An atmosphere deficient in oxygen and which could contain a combination of any of the mine gases. Firedamp Flammable mixtures of methane and air which would either burn or explode when ignited. White Damp A mixture of gases containing carbon monoxide.

I have thought it well to lay before the Institute some account of the Vallecillo Mines, now, I believe, the only paying ones in American hands in northeastern Mexico, including the States of Nuevo Leon, Coahuila and Tamaulipas. The authentic history of these mines dates from their ownership by an American Company in the year 1851, when they were bought by the Vallecillo Silver Mining Company of New York. They had been worked before by the Spaniards, but had been abandoned for many years, on account of the heavy expense of drainage and the constant incursions of the Indians. The company commenced work with several well-known New York capitalists among its stockholders, and had a large fund of both money and enthusiasm. The first point of attack was at a shaft on a mine known as the Jesus Maria, which had the most favorable traditions. Extensive buildings were put up, and two sets of pumps were successively tried. After the second pump, with a steam-cylinder 5 feet in diameter and 10 feet stroke and a plunger 20 inches in diameter, had failed to do more than hold the water, with infinite labor, at the 250 feet level, and after a thorough exploitation of the whole mine above that level had failed to yield more than some $30,000 worth of ore, it was resolved to abandon the effort. ClameR,* Philadelphia, Pa.—Unfortunately, prior to the war no serious attention was given to the conservation of tin, notwithstanding that this country is practically dependent upon outside sources for its entire tin supply. Tin is of vital importance in many industries, but it is surprising how many and how excellent are its substitutes when we become acquainted with them. Tin has always been a relatively high-priced metal, and it is part of the human attitude to associate high prices with high standards; it is not until the price of a commodity becomes well-nigh prohibitive that we hunt for substitutes, because the idea of substitution seems always to involve an assumption that the substitute must necessarily be inferior. The history of the development of bearing bronzes is a striking example of this policy. In the early days, copper-tin alloys were almost universally used, the idea then being prevalent, which is still held by many, that a bearing to resist wear must be hard, and the harder the better. The favorite bronze bearing contained 90 per cent. copper and 10 per cent. tin; frequently, in service which was considered severe, even higher proportions of tin were used. EACH metal has a unique combination of properties that distinguishes it from other metal;. Su& a combination may account for applications that cannot be met very well by anything else. This is particularly true of tin, one of the earliest metals used by man. Table i shows the consumption of tin in the United States by usage for the years 1949 and 1950, which may be considered to be generally typical of current usage. The major applications-tinplate, solders, bronze, and babbitt-were well established a century ago. Applications for the metal and (probably later) of tin alloys started more than 5000 years ago. Fortunately for the ancients, tin is one of the metals whose oxide is easily reduced by carbon. Nature further simplified the refining problem by providing only one ore of commercial importance, cassiterite (SnO2). Tin is easily reduced from cassiterite. All that is necessary is high heat in the presence of carbon. It is quite possible that back in the dawn of history, tin was discovered when black alluvial sand was thrown on a fire, either to bank it or to put it out. SOURCES OF TIN All the important tin-producing centers are in the southern hemisphere, far away from the' industrial consuming centers. Fig 1 shows their location and 1950 production. The history of iron construction in this country well illustrates the three phases of thought described by Auguste Comte, the French philosopher. The first is the era of faith, when belief in the safety of structures rests on the authority of the designer. The second is the era of criticism, when plans of structures are analyzed with much mathematical skill, but the data upon which the chain of reasoning depends is assumed upon insufficient experiment. The third, upon which we are now entering, is a scientific era, which demands experimental proof. It also demands that this proof shall be derived from experiments made on full-sized specimens, such as are in actual use, and not upon toy models. Until the construction of the United States testing-machine, now at Watertown Arsenal, it was impossible to make such experiments with accuracy. We now have a machine in which we can test full-sized specimens of every part of a bridge or other structure that we want to use, and under the same conditions in which it is actually used. The next thing is to get money to make these experiments available. No private individuals can afford to do it, and even if they could, they might wish to keep the results to themselves. So that the next point is that we want money, and that, I believe, everybodly thinks we should ask Congress for. We want also, as has been said, some one who shall make a business of testing, and who has plenty of time. Persons who are employed in private business are too much in a hurry; they want to do a thing and get done with it, and then do something else; but government officers are entirely free from this feeling; time to them is of no account, and in experimenting that is the very element that is of value; it does not do to be hurried; the great thing is to get it right and to test your results, and go over it, again and again. And the experimenter who operates the machine must be some person educated up to the use of it. We then want a general advisory board who will indicate a plan of experiments, collect the results; and publish them. IDO not want to omit anything in which fire or its operation has a part, if I know or can tell it, and have already told you so many other useful, powerful, and ingenious effects (finally of powder and other' fire deadly and very injurious to all living things, indeed, composed for the destruction of those who possess it as well as those who do not) but I do not want the end of my writing to be in tragedy. Therefore I wished to tell you how, from these fires composed of forceful and horrible mate¬rials bringing harm and terror to men, a happy and pleasing effect is also produced and, instead of fleeing from it, the people willingly go to see it. Among others I remember that it was once customary to use these in Florence and in Siena, more than elsewhere. The chief feast day celebrated. by one of these cities is the day of the birth of Saint John, and the other is the Assumption of Our Lady, on the fifteenth of the month of August. In the morning they visit the shrines with great devotion and solemnity, displaying their pomp as much as possible, and later they hunt lions, wild bulls, untamed horses, and many other animals. In the same public squares there was also erected as a decoration an edifice fixed in the ground in the middle of this space, or hanging from a heavy rope crossing between the loftiest points of equal height that could be found in that place. This they have done and still do, and perhaps in time to come will continue to do when opportune. This structure was usually of wood; indeed it is necessary that the latticework of its construction be made only of this. It was covered and en¬larged by tying and fastening hay on top to bring it almost to completion and then papier-mâché was applied. A RETROSPECT of the growth of the production of pig-iron for the past half century would be the history of the invention and introduction of heated blast as applied to the smelting of iron ores. As the apparatus employed was improved in conception and construction, the economical operation of the furnaces to which it was attached was the more marked, and the production correspondingly increased. To compare the original iron box placed over a coal fire with the modern hot-blast stove, with its combustion-chamber, gas-burners, and air-regulators, would be as unfavorable to the former as to contrast the product of the little Blauöfen with the yield of the improved furnaces of to-day. But, as these little Blauöfen were the germs from which the larger plants have grown, so from the crude apparatus invented and applied by Neilson has grown, in the face of great opposition, the more economical hot-blast stoves now in use. It is not surprising that an innovation like heated blast should have received a large amount of attention from metallurgists, nor that men of recognized ability should formerly have been found both among its champions and opponents, but it is remarkable that, at the present day, with the results of careful research and thorough experiment compiled in convenient shape for perusal, there are iron¬masters who still consider it economy to allow the products of combustion to escape into the atmosphere, rather than utilize them in heating the blast, because of a supposed injury to the quality of the product. In the present state of knowledge and practice, it is proper to express as an axiom, that a well-constructed hot-blast apparatus is essential to the economic operation of an iron-producing plant. Of the interpretation of proper construction there is of necessity a variety of opinions, and, with the view of solving the problem, the apparatus for heating blast has from time to time assumed various forms. Boxes, cylinders, and pipes, placed horizontally, vertically, inclined, or in circles and spirals, have been tried ; there have been pistol-shaped pipes, double pipes, divided or diaphragm pipes, siphon pipes, and as much variety in the mains, connections, flues, and setting.
