The coking coal or clean coal from raw material division, Tata Steel Ltd. is a prime source of energy for inhouse steel making. Coal reserves of semi soft coking coal at West Bokaro is beneficiated by dense media cyclone and froth flotation processes to produce clean coal. In dense media cyclone process two byproducts-middling and rejects are also produced along with clean coal. With the growing demand for clean coal, it becomes imperative to maximize the recovery of clean coal in beneficiation processes. This will help, not only in reduction in cost of production, but also in raw resource conservation, and proper utilization. In this context, a case study was conducted at West Bokaro to identify opportunities for clean coal recovery from by-products. This paper mainly discusses the process for recovery of clean coal from byproducts and study of further liberation of clean coal from byproducts for economic consideration.

"Spodumene, feldspar and quartz possess similar surface properties, which make the difficult to separate spodumene from other silicate minerals by flotation. The differences of crystal structure, surface property and floatability of three minerals were studied by various technical means. The results show that Li-O and Al-O bonds in spodumene structure are not strong and easy to be broken. However, Al-O and Si-O bonds in feldspar and Si-O bond in quartz are very strong and not easy to be broken. High contents of Al and Li on spodumene surface were found by XPS measurements, which is benefit for the adsorption of anionic collector. The surface energies of main cleavage planes of spodumene (110), feldspar (001) and quartz (001) are 1.88 J/m2, 2.97J/m2 and 2.68J/m2, respectively. Hence, the exposed surfaces of feldspar and quartz are not saturated and easy to adsorb OH- ions from solution and cause the lower IEP than spodumene. The contact angles of three minerals in water are lower than 16º, suggesting that the hydrophilicity of three minerals is high, and the order of hydrophilicity is quartz > feldspar >spodumene. Correspondingly, contact angles and flotation recoveries of spodumene are bigger than that of feldspar and quartz in presence of a combined anionic and cationic collector named YOA.INTRODUCTION Flotation technology plays most important role for the recovery of spodumene from pegmatite ore. Generally, spodumene with fresh surface is easy to be floated using soap and oleic acid as collector, and the best flotation pH range is 4.0 to 9.0. However, the flotability of spodumene will become worse when its surface was polluted by slime which produced by the weathering of spodumene and other silicates (Dresler et al. 1998; Moon and Fuerstenau 2003; Menéndez et al. 2004; Yu et al. 2015). In addition, the species of Ca2+, Fe3+, Mg2+ and other metal ions in pulp can not only activate the flotation of spodumene, but also the activation of gangue minerals, and then the flotation selectivity of spodumene from gangue minerals became wores (Wang and Yu 2007; Yu et al. 2014). In order to eliminate the negative effects of slime and metal ions on the flotation of spoddumene, the desliming and long time scrubbing with the addition of NaOH and Na2CO3 were adopted. Usually, NaOH shows the activation for spodumene flotation, and the recovery of spodumene increases with the increase of NaOH dosage. Na2CO3 can eliminate the non selective activation of Ca2+, Fe3+, Mg2+ ions in the pulp, and the concentrate grade of spodumene increases with the increase of Na2CO3 dosage. Anionic collectors such as chelants, hydroxamic acid, oxidized paraffin soap, naphthenic acid and oleic acid were widely used for the flotation of spodumene (Dresler et al. 1998; Moon and Fuerstenau 2003; Menéndez et al. 2004; Yu et al. 2015)."

Chemical composition, mineral composition, and iron occurrence state of main mineral are studied, Research of mineral processing technology is carried out according to ore features. The test results indicate, that through staged grinding-staged concentration process, the better separation index is up to 65.54%, iron preparation concentrate grade and 85.66% recovery with the fineness (-200 mesh) 45.88% in the primary grinding ore and the fineness (-200 mesh) 75.50%, in secondary grinding ore in the situation of best magnetic field intensity (roughing 0.2T and cleaning 0.15T).

"Froth structure and stability are known to play an important role in determining flotation recovery and selectivity. An industrial sampling campaign was performed to develop a clearer understanding of the effect of flotation variables on froth stability and the role played by the resulting stability on flotation performance.Froth stability was estimated as the fraction of bubbles bursting on the surface of the froth through image analysis and the solids loading on the bubbles at the top surface. It was generally found that high air flowrates resulted in a drop of froth stability showed by a drop in the fraction of air overflowing and a decrease in the solids loading and simultaneously produced low copper recoveries and low concentrate grades. Deep froths only allowed a small fraction of air to overflow and consequently produced low recoveries. An increase from a standard to high frother dosage did not result in a larger fraction of air overflowing, hence producing low recoveries. Likewise, low frother addition only allows low recoveries because the resulting unstable froth cannot support itself. Low aeration was found to be preferential as it allowed high particle loading, therefore high bubble stabilisation, and low gangue entrainment, resulting in the highest flotation performance.Additional laboratory tests were performed to introduce a new stability parameter and to give a clearer understanding of the effect of flotation variables on froth stability. The results confirmed some of the observations made on the plant."

South Africa has extensive mineral processing and extractive metallurgy capacity and infrastructure for metal production from natural resources. Decreasing ore grades, increasing labor costs, and more stringent legislation have made economic metal production from primary resources challenging. Opportunities exist for metal production from secondary resources such as mining wastes and end-of-life consumer goods. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the current status of metal production from secondary resources in South Africa and to identify potential opportunities for further development. Two main classes of secondary resources, namely mining waste and electronic waste, were considered. Primary metal producers are dominating metal production from mining wastes; several of the gold, platinum and chrome producers operate low risk and low cost tailings retreatment facilities that contribute significantly to their overall production. Further opportunities exist in, for example, the treatment of more than 450 estimated gold tailings dumps in Gauteng, as well as metal recovery from slags and furnace dust. The majority of companies involved with electronic waste recycling in South Africa focus on collecting and disassembling; only a few perform preliminary physical processing, with the recovered fractions then being sent overseas for metal recovery. Projections are that the rate of waste generation will increase significantly and that treatment will become critical to comply with more stringent environmental legislation. Projects related to process development, techno-economic evaluations and environmental impact studies for metal recovery from batteries, printed circuit boards, and fluorescent lamps are underway. South Africa is ideally positioned to further explore opportunities for synergistic relations between metal recyclers and primary metal producers. Processing of electronic waste for production of technology metals, for which limited natural resources exist in South Africa, would be a key enabler for local manufacturing industries and expansion of the value chain.

Separation performance of a Floatex Density Separator (FDS) has been studied both experimentally and theoretically. Experimental results reveal that at a lower bed pressure the FDS acts like a classifier. Higher bed pressure is required to attain the concentration effect as proper development of suspension density occurs under these conditions. It is seen that the size or density alone is not able to describe the partition fully. The terminal settling velocity, which includes both the size as well as the density of the particle can be a useful descriptor of separation in a FDS. While a narrowly distributed feed offers better performance of a FDS, a wide size distribution of feed results in large scatter in the terminal settling velocity distribution and renders the separation difficult. The closely sized feed enhances the density effect in concentration. A higher teeter water flow rate also helps in carrying larger-lighter particles to the overflow by increasing the cut off terminal settling velocity as it increases the net upward force. A detailed description of separation performance in a Floatex Density Separator has also been established from theoretical considerations. Separation performance of the separator is described using a simple slip velocity model. The model has been validated com-paring the predicted FDS performance results with those experimentally measured under widely different operating conditions.

"Deep concentration of iron ores involves extraction, in addition to magnetite concentrate, of hematite and martite concentrates and recovery of other valuable components. A flotation technology was designed specifically for finely disseminated hematite ore, allowing producing saleable hematite concentrate containing 64-66% Fe. The main process challenge is caused by the presence of other ferruginous minerals such as carbonates, silicates, and phosphates, and fine hematite and martite mostly concentrated in the -0.044 mm fraction. Main operations of the processing circuit are removal of slime, flotation to remove impurities (carbonates, phosphates etc.) with an anionic phosphorous collector in an alkaline environment, hematite and martite flotation using same collector in a slightly acidic environment to produce commercial iron concentrate. Tailings of wet magnetic separation of magnetite containing 24.5% Fe and finely disseminated hematite ore containing 51% Fe were processed to produce iron concentrates with a yield of 15% and 50%, respectively, containing approximately 65% Fe and 5% of silica. Hematite flotation tailings had the highest content of gold (up to 0.09 - 0.11 g/t), while in other products it never exceeded 0.02 g/t. Using a Knelson concentrator was able to recover 40 to 45% of the gold into 3.31 g/t Au gravity concentrate. The success of gravity concentration is due to high gravitational contrast of gold to mostly quartz and aluminosilicates in the hematite flotation tailings. In general, the proposed process can be used as a solution to the challenge of selective concentration of finely disseminated iron minerals."

Mechanism of the action of nonpolar physically adsorbed reactants in froth flotation is under discussion in the paper. It is shown that their basic influence on flotation includes removing of the kinetics restrictions of the flotation complex formation. Experimental data and practical evidence reported in the paper sustain the proposed mechanism. There are discussed potential dependence of the kinetics of dixanthogen formation on platinum and its influence on the induction time (IT).

In the article results of experiments over jaws? linings in jaw crushers with different shaping of working surface were presented. Following sets of jaws were under investigation: immobile plain jaw and moving jaw with grooving surface. Grooving jaws have groves with circular, triangular and trapezoid cross section. In order to evaluate efficiency of comminution both the grain composition of product and the content of irregular grains were determined, as well as the size of crushing forces and process efficiency were measured. For the combination: plain jaw with grooved one, a good results were obtained as regards the grain composition of product and the content of irregular grains. Crushing forces were higher at crushing with mixed types of jaws (the one plain, the second grooved), in comparison to crushing with using both grooved jaws. Efficiency of the process was definitely higher for mixed jaws.

"Three important components of stirred tanks involved in energy consumption, the impellers and baffles, were investigated to intensify the agitation pretreatment on the flotation of nickel ores. Flotation tests revealed that the stirred tanks with two impellers had an advantage over those with one impeller in intensifying agitation pretreatment, and the higher agitation speed led to better flotation performance of nickel ores. Installation and removal of baffles were also employed in the stirred tanks, and flotation tests demonstrated that with baffles, the flotation grade increased significantly. These agitator design improvements were used to demonstrate that the energy supplied to the system significantly influences the flotation recovery and that if the energy consumption of the agitation pretreatment is ideal, flotation efficiency can be improved. Data from full-scale operations backed up these results.INTRODUCTIONThe flotation recovery of nickel-copper sulphide ore at the Western China nickel mine has historically been difficult due to the presence of large amounts of serpentine minerals (Feng, et al., 2012). Many studies reported that serpentine minerals tend to have a positive potential at pH values up to 9.5, while sulphides (such as pentlandite and chalcopyrite) have a low isoelectric point(Feng, et al., 2012). Serpentine minerals can form surface coatings on negatively charged sulphides surface due to electrostatic attraction when they interact with each other, which may also reduce collector adsorption and increase the hydrophilicity of the sulphide particles. In order to improve the flotation of nickel sulphides, sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium silicate, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and other agents are used to disperse serpentine coating from sulphide surfaces in the flotation of the Jinchuan deposit and other nickel ores in China ( Kirjavainen and Heiskanen, 2007; Lu, et al., 2011). However, it is difficult to improve of the sulphide flotation due to the high dosage and the lack of selectivity."

"The recycling of waste car tyres is a very important environmental task. The waste tyres usually are re-used or recycled by thermal processes like pyrolysis, gasification or incineration. The main problem associated with these processes is the sulphur content of waste tyres originated from the vulcanisation process, which pollutes the environment and the valuable products (i.e. pyrolysis oil) as well. In our research the desulphurisation of waste, mechanically prepared tyre sample was systematically investigated by the biosolubilisation with Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans, strain Karitas. Parallel, the experiments with sterile 9K nutrient medium were also carried out. It was found that the vulcanisation sulphur can be solubilised due to both the bio- and the chemical leaching, although the bioleaching is more effective. The solubilised vulcanisation sulphur then forms precipitates. The precipitates are forming in the bulk solution, as well as on the surface of rubber particles. The origin of the precipitates was investigated using XRD and scanning microscopy with micro probe. The origin of the precipitates is different: while in the process of the vulcanisation sulphur solubilisation with 9K medium the jarosite (KFe3+3(SO4)2(OH)6) forms, the course of the biosolubilisation with Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans Karitas is accompanied by the formation of the jarosite and the halotrichite (FeAl2(SO4)4 · 22H2O) as well. The formation of the latter is the biomineralisation. The mechanisms of the bio- and chemical solubilisations are rather different as it was found and experimentally proved by several tests, and depends on the retention time of the solubilisation. Special efforts were done to elaborate the proper separation of the precipitates from rubber particles. Combination of intense dynamic stirring and recycling flotation process to remove the precipitates was applied for this purpose. The surface properties of synthetic jarosite were revealed using zeta-potential measurements at different pH and in presence of collectors. The parameters of the flotation were chosen based on the revealed surface properties of the precipitates. Finally, the sulphur recovery of the recycled rubber was achieved as low as <0.5%, sulphur content of it 0.17%, 12-times lower than that of the waste tyre sample after mechanical preparation."

This paper presents an analysis of comminution behavior of using cast iron segment (CIS) as fine grinding media with comparison to conventional steel ball. Grinding experiments utilize just one-size medium and mixed size media in laboratory were carried out and its efficiency is expected to be improved. The results show that no matter whether one-size medium or mixed size media employed, grinding efficiency of CIS media can be considerably equal to that of steel ball, on the other hand, grinding product by two kinds of media can conform to Robin-Rammler?s size characteristic curve and distribute in function of . )exp(100nbxy-= Comparing with steel ball, the milling capacity with CIS media could be increased up to about 8.6 percent, overcomminution decreased 3.96 in percentage and qualified size increased 3.98 in percentage in case of grinding fineness retained. At the same time, due to the improvement of grinding product size characteristic and its metal distribution characteristic, the grade and recovery of easy to separation size increased 0.24 in percentage and 6.47 in percentage respectively. Based on these results, the CIS media can be employed as novel fine medium for grinding process substituting for steel ball.

Recent results from electrochemical measurements demonstrate that trithiocarbonate (TTC) collectors are more readily oxidized to their corresponding dithiolates than the dithiocarbonate/xanthate (DTC) collectors. Based on the traditional analysis of collector adsorption, trithiocarbonates might then be expected to be effective for bulk sulfide mineral flotation. Previous bench-scale flotation research had shown that TTC collectors are very effective for the flotation of copper sulfide minerals and PGM (platinum group metal) sulfide minerals. More recently, the TTC collectors were evaluated for auriferous pyrite recovery in benchscale plant scale flotation testing in the United States and in plant tests at Anglogold in South Africa. TTC collectors were also applied in bench-scale testing of a PGM ore. In each case an improved separation efficiency was realized. Fundamental studies at the University of Utah examining the effect of collector structure (functional group, -O-CS2 versus .S-CS2), specifically with respect to auriferous pyrite flotation, are in progress. The effect of collector structure was evaluated with air as well as nitrogen as the flotation gas medium. Experimental techniques utilized included electrochemically controlled contact angle measurements to evaluate mineral hydrophobicity and infrared spectroscopy to explain collector adsorption phenomena at the mineral surface.

An attempt has been made to carry out qualitative assessment of mine water discharges from the different mines of West Bokaro Coalfields of Hazaribag district of Jharkhand, India. A total of 33 mine water samples were analyzed for pH, electrical conductivity (EC), major cations (Ca, Mg, Na, K), major anions (HCO3, SO4, Cl, NO3), and heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr, Ni, Co, As). The hydrochemical data has been evaluated in terms of major ion chemistry, solute acquisition processes and suitability of mine water for domestic, industrial and irrigation uses. The pH of the analyzed mine waters varies from 5.27?8.43 indicating acidic to alkaline nature of the water. The electrical conductivity (EC) values varied from 276 µScm-1 to 1598 µScm-1 for measured samples and spatial differences between the EC values reflects the wide variation in lithology, surface activities and hydrological regime prevailing in the region. The anion chemistry of the analyzed water samples shows the dominance of SO4 and HCO3 with a minor contribution from Cl, NO3 and F. The observed high values of sulphate in the mine water of the area may be attributed to the oxidative weathering of pyrites. On average chloride is contributing 5% of the total anionic balance (TZ-). Fluoride and nitrate have low concentrations and on average contributing <2% the total anions. The cation chemistry indicates that 79% of the samples are Ca>Mg>Na>K, while the 6% belong to Ca>Na>Mg>K and 1% of Ca>Mg>K>Na. Weathering of rock forming minerals and cation exchange processes normally control the levels of these cations. Concentrations of some heavy metals (Fe, Mn, Ni, Cr) are found to be well above the prescribed permissible levels recommended for the drinking water. The water quality assessment for drinking purposes indicates that most of the mine water having high TDS, total hardness (TH) and sulphate concentrations. This suggests that mine water of the study area is not suitable for direct use in drinking and domestic purposes and needs a proper treatment before its utilization. The assessment of water for irrigation uses show that the water is good to permissible quality and can be used for irrigation uses. However, high values of salinity, %Na, SAR, RSC and Mg-hazard at certain sites restrict its suitability for agriculture uses. A newly developed coal flotation collector ZFC and its flotation characteristics for five different coals were introduced in this paper. ZFC is an emulsion composed of 27% diesel oil, 70% water and 3% surfactants. The main surfactant is synthesized with oil which is environmental favorable and reproducible. Compared flotation experiments show that, at the same dosage, ZFC give 2%~5% recovery promotion than typical collector with only a slightly ash content increment, but saving 70% diesel oil. Zeta-potential and Wetting heat measurement indicate that the surfactant helps the interactions between oil and coal particles, the industrial application tests in several coal preparation plants demonstrate that ZFC is suitable both in technical and economical aspects.

Coal is the most widely used fossil fuel in the world, providing more than 25% of world?s electrical power. Since, the behavior of coal particles in crushing and grinding circuits, concentration operations, and solid-liquid separations is strongly dependent on size, a reliable and accurate measurement of particle size and particle size distribution (PSD) is a vital aspect in coal cleaning. This paper presents a method for the characterization of ground coal particles using image analysis. We utilized a machine vision (MV) approach that used a document scanner as the imaging device and a user-coded ImageJ plug-in that processed the image and automated the PSD analysis and output results in textual and graphical forms. This approach used a sum of volumes (SVolume) as weighting factor for particle length as the primary dimension of analysis and was successfully applied to ground coal. The plug-in was further improved for computational performance in this study. Mechanical sieving (MS) was also used to compare the MV results. MV results showed that the PSD of ground coal followed a uni-modal normal distribution, and the log-normal plot against particle size exhibited a linear trend for most of the range. MS results, however, had three linear segments, when the width-based sieving results were transformed to lengths by applying the shape factor (width/length), but a definite deviation between the PSD plots was observed. This study demonstrates successful application of the MV SVolume approach for PSD analysis of ground coal, which can be extended to similar particulate minerals and products. Reutilization of waste printed circuit boards (PCB) can not only prevent potential environmental pollution, but also achieve recycling of secondary resources. Study on recycling of discarded PCB belongs to the front edge of environmental pollution prevention and resource recycling. In order to effectively crushing waste PCB, and solve the problem of secondary pollution of fugitive odor and dust during the crushing process, a wet impacting crusher was adopted to achieve comminution liberation of PCB in water medium. 96.79% of the crushed yield was distributed in ?2mm, and metal took 97.18% in this grade of production. Size distribution of PCB particles was characterized double peaks at the sizes of ?1+0.5mm and ?0.074mm. A double Rosin-Rammler function, is called DRR function, is put forward to describe the size distribution of PCB particles. The DRR function of cumulative weight percentage oversize of PCB was non-liner fitted by self-defining DRR function of the Origin 7.0. The evaluation indexes of the fitting results are the correlation coefficients R2 of 0.9994 and residual E of 0.18671, those show that DRR function is perfectly accurate. Based on the research the mechanical separation and material properties of PCB, a wet process of reclaiming metals from PCB using a new style separator ? tapered diameter separation bed (TDSB) in water medium was designed, and the related separation mechanism was studied. The fluid field of the tapered diameter separation equipment was simulated by the Ansys Flotran software, the variation laws of the velocity in each position in the fluid field as well as the equation of axial distribution sectional max velocity were analysed according to the simulation result, the stress change and motion trajectory of the pellet in the certain fluid field were analysed. The results show that the expanding tubular structure of the varied diameter separation bed indicates gradually decreasing velocity of water flow along the axis, assuming a certain angle in the bed, as a result of the gravity?s influence, and there was corresponding change to the distribution of the flow velocity, thus the whole formed a special fluid field where velocity variations exist in different positions. When the material passed through the fluid field along with the water flow, as a result of the difference to the particle density, the granularity and the shape, there would appear the difference to the motion trajectory as well as the movement distance under the action of the fluid: The lower density materials discharge along with water flow, but the higher density materials would be kept in bottom of the bed and discharge through material mouth. Therefore, light and heavy products were separated effectively according to the density. Using tapered diameter separation bed to process the ?1mm size crushed material of waste printed circuit boards, with the discharge of water 5.5m3/h, feed-rate of the material 250g/min and with an obliquity 35°, product with 93.92% in integration efficiency and 93.73% in recovery ratio of the metal were obtained by the primary separation. Compared with other mechanical methods, the range of particle size was broaden using the TDSB to recovery metals from PCB, and lower limit size of separation almost approach to 0. An innovative process of ?wet impact crushing+ classifying+ tapered diameter separation? recycling metals from waste PCB was developed.

Experiment results and operation practice on reutilizing old tailings dumped at SCIM (Shang-chang Iron Mine) of KISCO (Kunming Iron and Steel Corp.) are presented. In a production period over 30 years SCIM dumped about 8 million tons of iron ore tailings. For improving resources utilization instead of wasting, experiments on processing for reutilization of the old tailings are con-ducted. These tailings are fine size fractions of weathered iluvial ores rejected out by classification- des-liming in ore washing and dressing processes, containing TFe 21%~22% in hematite mainly and limonite occasionally. Their particle size distribution, in average, is of 72.26% minus 0.037mm and 30.88% minus 0.005mm. Existence of plenty of micro-fine particles makes the tailings refractory to process, resulting in poor metallurgy. The whole sample of the old tailings without size-classification is fed into experimental process. Slon-100 type high grads WHIMS (wet high intensity magnetic separator) with cyc-pulsing is adopted, which magnetism-focusing rod?s diameter is changed from 3mm into 2mm. Operational conditions of optimizing rougher separation tests are strengthened. An iron concentrate assaying 52.21% Fe at quantity rate of 18.39% and iron recovery of 44.40% is obtained. Operational practice shows that metallurgy and economy of the old tailings treatment are close to what achieved at experiments. It is estimated, therefore, that some 1.4 million tons of this iron concentrate may be recovered from the old tailings. This means that KISCO has moved its key one-step in re-mining and reutilizing the secondary resources, which would be a good demonstration in this industry. This is also of social and economic significance in response to China government?s request on reducing consumption of resources and establishing society with economy for achieving sustainable development.

Next generation flotation agents of KSK series for the concentration of complex copper-lead ores and the new ferromagnetic nanosized depressor of galena are introduced in this work. The feature of the KSK flotation agents is that they exhibit both frother and collector properties. KSK-6 can successfully substitute the widely used in Kazakhstani industry reagent ?-80 at the reduced consumption of butyl xanthate by 30 %. The new ferromagnetic nanosized depressor of galena, besides a low consumption rate of 100 g/t, also makes possible to exclude sodium sulfite (3-4 kg/t) and ferrous sulfate (5-6 kg/t) from the separation process, and receive high metal grade concentrates. On the territory Sakha (Yakutia) are located largest in Russian Federation reserves of antimony ores, Sarylakhsk and Sentochansk deposits, amaunt 10% of world stocks of antimony. A processing gold antimony ores Sarylakhsk deposit is carried out on gravitation-flotation circuit to receive gold gravitation concentrate and gold-antimony flotation concentrate with the contents of antimony over 60%. The gold-bearing concentrate is treated on place hydrometallurgicaly to a high-standard product, accepted by gold bank cash department. At the ore dressing plant reached the highest recovery in world in a concentrate of antimony 90%~91.6%, and gold 85.7%~86.0% as a result of scientific research works. Studied the mechanism of interaction cations of metals Pb2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Ag+ with a surface antimonite presented on the basis of modern physical-chemical methods: nuclear quadrupol resonance, x-ray electron spectroscopy, electron spin resonance. The industrial tests of sodium dimethyldithiocarbate were carried out which confirmed high recovery of Sb and As. The leaching Sb2S3 by bacteria Desulfovibro desulfuricans and transformation antimonite in antimony trioxide by Tiobacillus Ferrooxidans improved following cyanidation . The extraction of antimony in a solution 96.0%~98.0% under optimal conditions. The common total extraction in the appropriate commodity products for gold reached 98%, for Sb 96.5%. At a combination of bioprocessing and cyanidation 85.5% of extraction Au was achieved. The new solvents for antimonite were found. Now by the Close Joint-Stock Co ?Sarylach-Antimony? industrial plant is constructed for processing Au-Sb concentrates to receive antimony trioxide and gold from various antimony deposits of Sakha (Yakutia).
