Abstract
Mr J. Meintjes (Chairman) was in the chair. There were also present: 7 Members: Messrs B. D. McNeice, A. Bain, G. E. Carlyon, C. H. Coxon, B. F. v. d. Merwe, A. C. Hofmeyer, H. J. R. Way. 4 Associate Members: Messrs E. J. Jackson, A. C. Melvill, W. Weber, R. E. Powell. 2 Visitors. It was decided to have the visit to ETC at Barberton on 20th March. A programme will be sent to all members who indicated that they wish to go on this visit. A talk on "Billet Casting of Ferrochrome" was given by Mr. B. F. van der Merwe. After question time the chairman thanked the speaker and asked for the talk to be forwarded for possible publication in the Journal. The meeting closed at 9.10 p.m.
