Abstract
Recent Developments in the utilization of polymer grid structures for Longwall Shield Recovery operations are discussed. Specifically: various Longwall screen designs and the numerous methods employed during installation. Also discussed is the role of polymer grid structures in head and tailgate mf and rib control and their role in controlling soft bottom often associated in shield recovery operations.
