Abstract

Reclamation and permit applications for mines tend to be very detailed and complicated documents. Depending on its complexity, the application may have to be reviewed in detail for water quality, water quantity, wetland and upland habitat, wildlife issues, waste disposal, historical and archeological significance, other environmental factors, and financial surety sufficiency. To reduce review time and cut costs to the applicant, this paper identifies the most common mistakes that can lead to delays in the application process.
