Abstract
HAVING given in a former paper1 the results of assays of sea-water, bay-mud, dredgings from San Francisco bay, etc., and' believing it might be interesting to extend the work to include' some deep-sea dredgings, I procured from the Smithsonian Institution six samples taken by the U. S, steamer Albatross, and marked as follows
