Abstract
Technical progress in ironmaking will be discussed in three sectors: blast furnace ironmaking, direct reduction and alternative ironmaking to feed electric arc furnaces and ironmaking for waste oxide processing. The contributions of iron ore producer, Quebec Cartier Mining, in each sector will be outlined.
