Abstract

The following paper on the development of processes for the treatment of crude ore, accumulated dumps of tailing and slime at Broken Hill, has been prepared by a committee of the Broken Hill Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, with the object of recording, in chronological order, the developments of the various processes which have led up to the metallurgical practice of the present day.
