Ltd., have been submitted for mineragraphic examination, with reference to the mode of occurrence of copper in them. The samples included (I) blast furnace slags, (H) a forehearth accretion, and (IH) converter slags. 1. BLAST FURNACE SLAGS Four series of samples of blast furnace slag have been submitted. The. chemical compositions of the several slags are shown in Table 1. Analyses Nos. 1 and 2 are of samples of slowly or normally cooled slag, taken from the slag dump, Analyses Nos. 3 and 4 are of samples comprising slowly or normally cooled slag, together with granulated slag from the same melt.
