Plans are now being made for the formation of the American Meteorological Society, which has for its object the advancement and diffusion of the knowledge of meteorology and climatology said the broadening of their applications in public health, agriculture engineering, industry and commerce. Information regarding the society may be obtained from Charles F. Brooks, Weather Bureau, Washington, D. C.
