Abstract

Abstract: Based on the consolidation theory of soil dewatering and land subsidence prediction methods in soil mechanics, preliminary analysis of surface subsidence and movement due to groundwater withdrawal was performed using the stochastic theory and the principles of effective stress and the method for subsidence prediction was derived, Surface subsidence due to coal mining was then superimposed to obtain the total subsidence. Keywords: land subsidence, rock and soil consolidation, stochastic theory, effective stress
