Abstract

"INTRODUCTIONThe knowledge of the adhesion forces between particles and bubbles is of key importance in the improvement of flotation models. The development of the Colloidal Interaction Force Measurement Apparatus (CIFMA) opened the possibility to quantify the adhesion forces between particles and bubbles. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of three main variables: the approach velocity, the loading force and the loading time on the adhesion force between an air bubble and a hydrophobized silica particle."
