Abstract

"In a Peruvian-German Technical Cooperation project for the Mining Sector the ""Milpo-cut"" along with the electric initiation system has been successfully implemented in a Peruvian metal-ore mine.Specific savings in drill work and explosives consumption up to 50 % have been achieved in headings and slopes. The positive results have motivated further Peruvian mining companies to introduce the new technique."
