"Exploshres Technologies International (ED) is developing an instrument called ROCSCAN which isplanned to have broad application in both blasting and rock mechanics. The purpose of this paper is to outllne the background that has led to the development of ROCSCAN, describe its objectives and to present a progress report on the work to date. Some of the potential applications of ROCSCAN will also be reviewed."
