Abstract

In order to limit SO2 emissions, the Montanwerke Brixlegg AG has installed a desulphurisation plant with the primary aim of reducing the peak emissions from the copper converter that are of particular ecological concern. The author discusses the process requirements, the desulphurisation process selected and the results achieved.
