Recent European Developments Relating to Pyrotechnics

The paper reviews the development of European harmonised standards for fireworks, recent major incidents involving the bulk storage of fireworks which led to research funded by the European Commission, progress with the forthcoming European Regulation on pyrotechnics and potential issues relating to the certification of products within the scope of the new Regulation.
