Abstract

Measurement of process material composition with on-line instrumentation has commanded attention of metallurgical plant management as a logical extension of the sampling operation, making possible immediate determination of essential data needed to maintain efficiencies at the highest possible level. The current status of methods employed for online composition analysis of slurries and solid materials is reviewed.
