I'll attempt to explain how I see technology development as an underpinning of a successful mining company. We will examine an example of a technology that has resulted in a re-birth of segments of the industry, examine a technology life cycle and discuss technology as it relates to ore reserve replacement. Also, we will touch on technology in today's mining company and propose some food for thought for those designers of corporate organizations."
