Abstract

Goal of GMGE ??To advance mine reclamation through the beneficial use of organic residuals for the sustainable establishment of bioenergy crops and other productive land uses Objectives ??To advance the current ?standard? of mine reclamation by demonstrating that mining lands can safely become agriculturally ?productive? through the use of organic residuals. ??To generate and compile sound scientific data that can be utilized by stakeholders to better assess the environmental impacts of utilizing these materials. ??To complete a manual of best practices regarding the utilization of organic residuals on mine lands. *Considerable effort to be placed on operations/implementation side of utilizing residuals ?rather than just pure research
