Abstract

"Two years of field testing have shown that blasting results are improved both in surface and underground applications when Nitro Nobel electronic detonators are used. The delay times canbe chosen with an accuracy of 1 millisecond over the entire time range (1 to 6250 ms). Since ordinary.high explosives have detonation velocities of up to 6000 metres/second, these high velocities make accurate and flexible delay times very interesting."
