Abstract
If the question should be asked at this time: "Does pure iron have allotropic transformations?" the reply would necessarily be, "We do not know." And it is doubtful whether anybody, anywhere, is in a position to make any other reply at this time, for the simple reason that pure iron has not yet been made and tested.
