Abstract

The paper discusses past trends in phosphate reclamation, indicating advantages and disadvantages of land and lakes, sand tailings capped with overburden, phosphate slimes capped with overburden, and overburden fill reclamation. In addition, new techniques of reclamation such a clay settling-pond disposal and wetland restoration are discussed.
