Abstract

Seven years of rising silver prices have effectively revived an historic Idaho mining district and given it a new lease on life. Initial production earlier last year from the DeLamar open-pit silver mine in southwestern Idaho ushered in a new era of mineral production in a region that has weathered boom-and-bust cycles reaching back the better part of a century.
