Abstract

MiMi has been set up to be i) visionary, ii) strategic and iii) long-term. The planning as well as the executive phases involves industry, academia and authorities in close co-operation. MiMi focuses on improved, economically efficient management of mining waste, a challenge that requires combined and integrated research efforts across discipline boundaries. The MiMi programme is financed by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research (MISTRA) with support from the mining industry.
