Abstract

The principle of roof control in longwall mining is to control main roof fractures so as to reduce roof weighting, plus reasonable and effective design of supports to reduce the convergence and premature caving of the immediate roof. This paper introduces a comprehensive test for better roof control based on the geological conditions of coal seam No. 16 in Zaozhuan Colliery, China.
