Abstract
A research has been conducted to study the long-term subsidence and its possible effects on surface structures In this research, the surface movements in areas when potential for developing long-term subsidence is high have been monitored over an extended period of time Long-term subsidence data have also been collected from other sources The avail- able data from this on-going research have been analyzed and the results is presented in this paper.
