Leaching Of Arsenides

THE MOST important arsenic minerals are shown in Table 6-1. The recovery of arsenic from arsenic sulfides is treated in Chapter Four. Arsenical ores may be either leached directly, or first smelted to volatilize as much arsenic and sulfur as possible, and the resulting product, called speiss, is then leached.
