Abstract

The analysis of Combined Pile Raft Foundation (CPRF) is very complex due to involved interactions among components of CPRF system. Many researchers made efforts to develop sufficient methods including three dimensional finite element methods to compute these interactions. Since there are some restrictions and complexity in previous methods, in present study a new approach based on three dimensional finite difference methods is implemented to overcome some of these restrictions. The total and differential settlements of a centrifuge case study are computed using different numerical methods to show the performance of present numerical approach.
