Abstract
An overview of new size reduction technology
involving the use of two-mass natural frequency
vibration applied to a totally enclosed elongated drum.
Material moves with a drum-like rotary motion with
exposure to constant, aggressive, high frequency
agitation for faster reduction and enhanced product
quality. A proven, patented design with few moving
parts, a vibrating mill drum provides the desirable
environmental benefits of a totally enclosed rotary drum
but without the same interfacing difficulties. Natural
frequency design has reduced energy demand which is met
by low horsepower, self-contained, motorized drives to
dramatically reduce the cost per ton of finished
product.
