Abstract

The initial operation of a mining facility is a unique and often underplanned phase of the Project development process. The subject of this presentation is a detailed strategy to effectively and efficiently bring a mining facility to design production capacity. This plan has been applied successfully on projects. It addresses developing the initial operation organization, management of information and problem, putting an appropriate management system in place, developing operations and maintenance information, and effectively training personnel.
