Abstract

This report summarizes five separate Bureau of Mines contract studies on the use of aerial photogrammetry, satellite transmission of in situ instrumentation information, and satellite imagery to monitor and update mine waste embankment data. The equipment used, methods applied, results, recommendations, and cost analyses are presented along with a bibliography of related investigations.
