Abstract
The following instructions and descriptions are presented in two parts to assist an individual to make the borehole deformation gage transducer, and to assemble and test the three-component borehole deformation gage. This Bureau 8 of Mines three-component borehole deformation gage (4, 8, 11)2 fits in a 1-1/2-in-diameter borehole that is drilled in rock and then overcored to determine rock stress.
