This paper is one of a series being published by the Bureau of Mines describing the mines and mills and subjects related to mining in western mineral areas. Although mining districts in the Tobacco Root Mountains are numerous there is a strong similarity in the character of the ore deposits and in the climatic and economic conditions affecting mining throughout the region.
