Abstract

This paper presents one of a series of digests of foreign mining legis- ation and court decisions that is being prepared in advance of a generel report elative to the rights of American citizens to explore for minerals and to own nd operate mines in various foreign countries. This interpretation of the laws of Demark and her possessions, has been prepared entirely from answers made by Ernest L. Ives, American charge d'effaires, Copenhagen, to a questionnaire ini- isted by the United States Bureau of Mines and transmitted through the courtesy of the Department of State.
