Abstract

Nearly one third of Australia's total gold product is produced in the Kambaloa - Kalgoorlie - Leonora Goldfields. There are presently some 25 gold mines in the area with the possibility of another six plants being constructed in the next year. Details of the gold extraction techniques used on these mines will be discussed and certain innovative technologies and problem areas will be highlighted.
