Abstract

The extensive deposits of brown coal in the Latrobe Valley form the major solid fuel resource in Victoria and are the energy source for most of the State's power generation. This paper describes the coalfield resources allocated for electricity generation and a potential sequential develop- ment of these areas in future years to supply future power stations.
