Abstract

Mechanical drives of belt conveyor drives have experienced a huge amount of improvements concerning technology, manufacture and product structure that reduced investment and maintenance cost significantly. Most of these improvements were of technological nature in the'70s and '80s of this century; whereas, the present decade requires products that meet technical excellence as well as commercial advantages such as quick delivery, low cost and reliable spare parts supply. The best approach to meet these requirements is a highly modular and standardized system of reliable components that cover all demands a conveyor drive might require.
