Abstract
he above article by E. Barnea, which appeared in the January 1978 issue of the Journal (vol. 78, no. 6, pp. 143-145), calls for comment in view of the author's claims for the novelty of his proof. He states in his article that its main purpose is to give a mathematically acceptable proof by induction of the 'recently proposed' equation
