Determinants of Curricula in Tertiary Educational Institutions with Emphasis on Mineral Resource Exploration

The paper considers the factors that will control the importance and the nature of R & D required by the Australian mineral industry over the next decade. The process required to determine the appropriate priorities for research and how it must be managed is described. The work of the Australian Mineral Industries Research Association is used to illustrate this process.
