Abstract
Anderson: Will, I have known you for only the past 30 years of your extraordinary mining career, and have often wondered just how it got started. Wright: I suppose you might say it was largely a matter of heritage. My father, who in 1886 was one of the founders of the Michigan College of Mines, was Michigan State Geologist until his un- timely death in 1888.
