Abstract
Summer internships are a great way for students to explore different career paths in the industry and get first hand experiences with potential employers. As a junior in mining and explosive engineering, my 2009 summer internship gave me a behind the scenes view of the actual workings of an explosive company and the role they play in the mining industry.
