Abstract

For more effective and cost-saving production in tunnels, the machinery used on construction sites in the future will be equipped with guidance systems combined with working-procedure management systems. This paper describes sensors for these systems and vari¬ous system configurations. A project is described that uses a computerized guidance system on an underground mining machine for guidance and profile control.
